I have no other choice but to hang back and wait for Rodney's answer to my question about the maps. Meanwhile...
....Marsha can only nod at Delilah's silent request to wait just a bit longer before having their talk. Just that much longer to finally get to the bottom of this. That much longer for Marsha to get her own problem off her chest. Longer to...hang on, who are that Hypno and Jolteon? Marsha gets one look at the clothes they're wearing and begins to recognize something about them.

Marsha clears her throat and tries to play along with what Dikir is saying, but deep down she knows that this pair of mons are probably former humans. It's one thing she's been able to pick up on from being around us for so long.

Becquerel seems to be getting visibly stressed, as she's remembering something, something which seems to be causing her to panic, something which seems to be causing her to doubt it, trying to make up excuses as to why it's not what she thinks it is, which considering how much panic it is starting to visibly cause her, might be worrying, as she seems to be starting to cower.

If Becquerel were to break from her moment of despair, she would be looking at an inquisitive, if not somewhat worried Lilligant. This Lilligant also having the distinctive features the rest of the party is already used to; the two different colored eyes, the red leaf in her "hair", the discoloration in her "dress." Cindra does her best to offer reassurances to the troubled Jolteon.
You and your friend couldn't have landed in better hands. I only just joined this group seeing as how I’m actually half of Marlon but this group has already done so much for me.

The jolteon seems quite panicked, but is trying to snap out of it, problem is, she's using denial to do so, which probably won't be the healthiest in the long run.

Regardless of what the old mon says or not, I leave his study to join the in-progress scene. A Jolteon and a Hypno, both of whom I catch the detail that they're both former humans. That's interesting....
A Gallade approaches Becquerel and Dikir. He moves his way to the front of the group, as quickly as having to walk with a walking stick can carry him. He eyes the pair curiously, then takes one step back to readjust himself into even position with both legs, one having a cast on it.
Listen, we'll talk later, but we have some important business to tend to right now, alright? You both can fall in with my group. We've got to go looking for something....important, to cut it short.
After saying this I cock my head to one side and give direction for Grigs and his group.

I try to get moving further along and out so we can begin our planned investigations.

(I mostly kept to myself while the others joined up with me. We were about to head to the other spots, but along the way, we ran into a green-furred Jolteon with eyewear and a Hypno with what I suspect to be a lab coat. From the others, they pried out the fact that they're former humans.) Name's Grigori. It's best if you stick with us, but word of advice: don't go giving your past life to just anyone. There are mons out there looking for guys like you, mons who don't have your best interests in mind.
(With that being said, I nodded at Marlon when he gave his directions.) Gotcha. We'll meet at the Elder's place when we're finished.
(I gave a quick look at my group.) Everyone ready?

ahem. Get back to the task at hand. Grigs offers the plan to convene back at the Elders; while this is the plan I will adhere to, never know what will go wrong.
Alright, my people are with me. Grigs, backup meeting place is the Inn in case anything goes sideways. We still have to make time for the Elders, regardless. Let's move.
I want to say something about Becquerel accidentally revealing hers and Dirik's statuses as former humans, but the Marrill simply walks off before I can. I motion for my group to follow me (Goobert, Cindra, Ed, and the new arrivals) before turning to move forward a few feet—but stopping momentarily to make sure everyone catches up first. Back on point...

I sigh again and try to explain the overall situation as best I can.
Do you understand what Viral Aggression is? It's something we've been getting sent around from place-to-place in order to....stop it. Of course, it's in this town too, and we need to find the suspect before this town's festival begins. If we don't, it's probably not about to end well for us. Just trust us, we're gonna try to find them.
I glance down at the map, trying to get us in the right direction. Assuming we're about to leave Rodney's, I start looking for anything to orient us in the direction of the Berry Fields.

Marsha decides to let Del stew for just that much longer as she looks to Grigs (or Royal; really anyone else for that matter), trying to get a recap of what just went on in Rodney's study.
So, uh....what exactly is our plan when we get dair? Old guy gave us dis harbor Town ta go to, but what if we still can't find what we're lookin' for?

You could almost say that it's rabies, but not really. Viral Aggression doesn't kill, but it makes you want to kill. Or do literally anything you define as "bad." We're still not even completely sure of how it spreads either aside from being near a vector.
