Man, here I was thinking that things must have been going alright there...would it hurt to just check in with Ripley even if we don't go with her? I mean, she did pretty much save us from Serris and the Kapitani-, I mean the Colonel, after all.

I mean, someone's gotta go in there to find out. There's no way that in the month since we left there that it went down even faster than I thought it did.

I, again, look over at Benji to see if he just wants to start heading off now.

I had readied myself for a loud thump and to awaken back in my bed....

What I hadn't expected was to hear a "sploosh" type of sound though without any pain. I opened my eyes to see...I was still here. How could that be though? This was a dream!...wasn't it?

I tried moving my arms or any part of my body but found I couldn't. As such, I decided to do the only thing that made sense: I called for help, "Um, hello? Anyone there? I seem to have fallen and can't get up!!"

Day 1

"No, definitely not," I replied. "Unless you decide to get a job as a bounty hunter or something… but anyways, you've got time to decide."
After a while, the Oranguru returns with our food. "Here you are. One order of the sweet-medley Poffins and one order of the apple Poffins." "Thank you."
"You're very welcome. Enjoy your meal!" He said as he left us to eat and chat in peace.

If I don't clash, I don't change. The world ends at my borders, and the best moments slip away.

(I guess if nobody else volunteers, then maybe I could. But before I can tell the others this (or Benji and the others can start heading toward the Shifter):)

Yaaah! Incoming! (Marsha shouts.)

(Something suddenly splats onto the ground!)

Whoa! (I jump back. Dinah pulls Lucy behind herself.) Please tell me that guy's a Ditto and not someone who just went splat...

(That they call for help after landing seems to confirm the former.)

Yup, that fella's definitely a Ditto! (Benji says, walking over to the other Ditto and setting them upright (to them right now, Benji would likely just appear to be a normal Swampert).) Hey, you lose your form mid-flight or somethin', pal? Don't worry, it's happened tuh me plenty of times too, just sayin'.

I sighed with relief at hearing a friendly voice,"Thank you so much. I honestly have no idea what the heck is going on here an-" I stopped at noticing who, or rather what, was helping me,"Uhhh..."

A Swampert. A literal Swampert. Not only that, it seemed to be...speaking actual english,"You're a Swampert...ok, I must've hit my head pretty hard because there is no logical way this is happening right now..."

Royal stayed silent as the Dragapult spoke with the others.

Damn the Raboot thought to himself, These folks have been on quite a journey already. Hope I'm not gonna be a friggin' Est archetype or some late-game baggage shit like that.

He jolted as the Ditto splashed on the ground.

"Uhhhh... You alright there?" the androgynous Raboot asked the new Ditto.

Can Dittos even feel fall damage? They don't really have anything to break....

A talking bunny rabbit...sure, why not? Made about as much sense as anything else in this situation right now.

"Other than the fact I don't have the foggiest clue what's going on right now and I seem to be in a body that's not my own based off a creature from a tv show...yeah, I'm doing alright..." I tried to form a thumbs up but it collapsed back into the puddle that was my body right now.

"Give me a second..." I tried exerting sheer force of will to try and literally gather myself only for that to fail. As such, I sighed, "Welp, that was a bust..." Despite my situation, I turned to those present, "So...I guess introductions are in order. I'm Miles. Who might you guys be and can you tell me what's going on here? Last I recall I was a human being, not a Ditto..."

(And suddenly, a Ditto fell from the sky. I'll let the others fill them in. Right now, that whole thing with the Dragapult has me curious.) I'll go. In case the search over by Denalsi turns up short and we don't get our pay, at least we'll have something to make up for it. If anyone wants to come with, let me know.

...What the WTF. It just fell straight out of the sky!! The sudden splat on the ground makes Braixen jump a bit. She quickly pushes her way over to the front— can't quite get there —finally reaches a place where she can at least see what's happening.

It's a pink blob. That fell from the sky. And just got back up like nothing happened. Braixen has a solid 'WTF' moment. And this is on top of that weird and creepy slurpuff chef who kept following them, being summoned to a guild and being sent on a monhunt, running into another human-turned-pokemon in the street, and being stalked by a weird flying dragon thingy that told them not to listen to the guild and then talked war and politics enough to make Braixen's head spin. All in the course of an hour. She's ready to mentally die.

This group gets all the weird shit, apparently.

We uh, I'm Marlon, and this is our group. Almost all of us were just like you at one point or another. I think everyone else can put the pieces of the puzzle together, because we've been through a lot, more than you can really wrap your head around.

I look again toward the Shifter, then once more back at Benji.

(Benji notices how antsy Marlon and now even Marsha seem to be getting about wanting to get back to Silversand. "Man, they're really itchin' to get back, aren't they? Heh, I can't say I blame 'em." He can't help but feel a little disappointed about missing out on teaching Miles how to manage his new Ditto form, but he knows that Eliot would probably be a lot of help in that regard instead.) Hey, ya wanna head with us to the docks? I don't think I'll have time tuh talk to ya about what you can do now that you're a Ditto, but we've got a friend who's out there now who probably could.

(In the meantime I hear Grigori ask if anyone else is going to go see Ripley.) Hey, can I come with? (I ask him.)

I listened to what I was being told and did my best to nod in agreement despite my current position, "Sure, why not? At the very least, it'll be nice to be among company..." I tried to walk only to end up flopping face-down, "...I'll get the hang of this! Just...give me a while..."

I'll admit to not being the first or last to say that just watching a Ditto in its purest form is just downright weird. I make a quick suggestion to Miles based upon this fact, and just generally wanting to help as I try to get moving down to the docks.

I'd suggest you find a default form for you to take. You could really take anything you want but I'd take what's most comfortable.

Alright. Anyone else? (To be honest, I didn't expect the Goodra to come with, but at least he's familiar with what happened when he was there. Better than going into this blind.)

And at being reminded of such a simple yet key concept to Dittos, I wanted to ram my face into a wall really really hard, "Right...hang on a second..."

I focused on a mental image of a Pokemon I really liked and began forming it bit by bit. I imagined my pink mass stretching out and forming into limbs as a torso and head followed suit. I added some color here and there to complete the image.

Opening my eyes, I looked down to see a Lucario's paw in place of my arm, "Huh...ok, that wasn't as bad as I expected..." At trying to move though, I felt my legs give out under me. I glanced back to see they had reverted back to pink goop, to which I sighed, "It appears I spoke too soon..."

I find myself feeling taken aback by the Ditto trying to form themselves into a Lucario but not exactly succeeding. In a brief moment of panic, I try to help them, and also get more help from others nearby.

It appeared that any confusion she had earlier had been eliminated. She stood there with a smile on her face.

"I overheard something about money, and seeing as I'm virtually broke, I could use some. Hope you don't mind me joining."

Hearing the encouragement you all gave me was enough for me to give it another go. As such, I focused and the goo making up my legs and lower body began to take physical form again. I kept telling myself the goo was a part of me and thus bound to my will.

It took a few minutes but I finally managed to get a working pair of legs which I then used to wobbily get to my feet,"W-Whoa!!" Somehow, I managed to not fall apart this time, "Well...this is progress I suppose..."

I took a few experimental steps forward, trying to keep my balance as I got use to this.

Well, yeah, some of us are going after a Cofagrigus with the hope that he'd help the Guild recoup some of their losses.

I nod to Allora as I watch as Miles tries one more to take steps. He seems to be keeping steady as he goes, so I let him continue taking his experimental steps ahead. Following forward I look over towards Benji and the others.

Well, guess we gotta say goodbye for now, huh?

Seth half-heartedly mumbles something to himself.

"Oh! Thanks!" She says as the Oranguru brings the food. When it's on the table she takes a pensive nibble out of a poffin. "Ooh, this is pretty good."

I look at my food curiously. I dunno what this is actually going to be like, since the only reference I can go off of is a DS game.
Oh well, let's give it a shot. I take a poffin and bite into it… only getting the dough-y part of it. Quickly chewing and swallowing it down, I take yet another bite. I can feel the dough giving way to the apple filling inside.
