Bzz...I can use Earthquake, Dig, and Dragon Claw. (Maran says, trying to recall the moves he used back in Hoard that time in the tournament.) I probably shouldn't use Dig, though, I don't want to dig my way into lava. Bzz, there's lava on this island, isn't there...?
I don't really fight much nowadays, but I did use to spar with Polly when we were younger. I think I can remember some of the moves I used then! (Judy says.) I know I used Stomp, Bide, Rock Slide, and Charm...maybe I could learn Dragon Claw off one of you guys.
I can...uh...I can headbutt stuff... (Cortez says. He fumes, knowing he would be able to do more if he was his normal Tyrantrum self.) 'Bout all I CAN do in this form.
Oh, come on now, Cortez, sir. (Judy says.) Butting with your head isn't all you can do right now. Heck, you can probably learn most of the stuff I know and be able to take it with you back to your true self! Just watch me and follow my lead whenever I use any of my moves. How about that?
I-I guess... (Cortez says.)
(Sunny looks a little worried.) Oh dear...I have never had to fight with anyone before. Not for real, anyway... (She says.) I am an actress, not a fighter. I will have to learn how...would someone help me?
Well...um, bzzz...I'm not sure what you can learn from me. (Maran says.) We basically have the opposite types from each other...sorry.
Oh, it is fine, Maran. I'm certain someone else will still be able to help me. (Sunny says.)
( Still close enough to the other boat that I can hear rumblings of the others double checking what moves they know, I find myself wishing there was more room on this boat for us to practice what we know.)
Having to fight without James is going to feel so odd... (I hear Shelley mutter.) Ever since we were little he has always had my back whenever I've had to back out of a fight. Now we he's not here and we might even have to fight him...I'm not sure what to do.
(Shelley saying this reminds me that we very well have to fight against Goobert, too. I bristle knowing that Phoebe is forcing so many of us to have to fight our friends and even family...)
The Golisopod through her muttering makes a good point. The friend she lost, the friend we lost, we might have to fight them. The prospect of having to fight my best friend, even if he won't be able to recognize me (not like he really could regardless, because of my current form of being a Noivern), eats at me inside. However yet still, I don't know what I'm packing while in this form. In due time? Depending on how much time I even have before this illusion reverts itself.
Yeah I...the prospects of fighting my best friend are ones I'd wanted to have never thought about, honestly. That Gorebyss is sooooo gonna get what's coming to her, I guarantee that.
Marsha lays a hand on my shoulder after sensing my unease once again whilst watching Grigs fire off his arrow.
What was dat for, Grigs?
Clayton hears out what the individual group members assembled have for their capabilities for which to take on Phoebe with. He addresses Maran first before once again addressing the whole group.
Well, there is lava, but it's several hundred feet underground. I still wouldn't dare try to dig, though. But as for the rest of you, that's still more than sufficient.
He sighs as he prepares to make his next point.
Friends, family members...there's a good chance you'll be fighting them soon here. Her reach has in fact been that massive. Remember: we do not want any of these innocent Clamperls to wind up dead before we can get them back to their proper bodies and homes.
Addie twinges in anger as she is reminded what happened to her cousin and growls slightly. Not letting it get the best of her, not for now, she looks back to Igni.
A-are you serious? I can literally shoot fire at things if I wanted to? Well, that's certainly a deterrent...
(I'm more shocked by how casually it was stated than anything else, like 'oh by the way you can shoot fire'...)
(I looked back at the Swampert and her boyfriend and responded to them.) Practice for the island. I'm not firing them too hard, if that's why you're asking. Plus, the water should slow down the arrows enough to not skewer someone on accident.
(Can't afford to get sloppy, so I might as well sharpen myself up while I still can.)
Noriaki nodded and said, "Indeed, we'll try to keep that mind. I don't imagine that Phoebe made them too powerful, less there be a risk of them threatening her power over them, so I imagine it won't take much for me to subdue them without doing too much harm."

Hope Cree 'n Radar 'll forgive me if I end up havin' t' specifically fight 'em... (Polly sighs.)
(Shelley shifts nervously.) Or James...
I'm sure as hell not gonna try actually hurting anyone... (Judy says, shaking her head.) Too many of these Clamperls are actually my friends. Suzy, Cara, Filbert, Brady...
(She sighs and drops down onto her rump.)
( We're getting closer to the island...I can make it out a bit better. Seems to have a lush jungle on one side...huge volcano on the other.)
Oh no, it looks like she's almost there already... (Shelley says, pointing out the barge that Phoebe was on.)
(I feel my fists tighten. We're this close to Phoebe...this close to Goobert...I just hope they aren't too far ahead of us already.)
(On the Guild Boat, Judy notices the same thing.)
That's the barge she came in on, guys.
Where? I can't see! (Cortez says, trying to peer over the side of the ship.)
Well, there it is...it looks quite ghastly. Perhaps fitting of what goes on in there...what if already laid waste to our welcome party?
I feel a chill run down my spine in response. Truly, whatever is going on in there, and on the island, hopefully we can get in and out clean..
Miller! Daniels! Get mr eyes on a place to park this thing! Our mission is a go, starting now!
After a series of firing fireballs into the ocean and watching Igni do the same Addie also spots the boat.
There it is...th' two of yeh have got to stay with me through this, yeh hear?
She asks of her new friends.
Well, well...I never thought she could have been such an expert on sailing ships...unless she stole that boat.
Grass type? Ghost type? That yellow rat...I knew where I saw it before.
It's official. I am dreaming. No other rational explanation.
I saw the barge nearby.
"Uh...how do I even do any moves?
I look to Addie, clueless. I have no idea if I give off any kind of expression on my face.
"So that's where Phoebe is..." says Rex as the barge comes into view.
"Well... that was fast," Bailey says, chuckling nervously.
(After a surprisingly confidence-boosting session of learning how to shoot fire at things, I feel more motivated about this whole thing, looking at Addie.)
I'll stay with you, yes. Guarding you even if I'm fairly sure it's the other way around at the moment is the least I could do to repay you, after all.
Wish I could've helped yeh, Wreck but...I didn't think we'd get here this fast...yeh probably do have moves, but I don't know which ones. It aint changin' how I'm not gonna let either of yeh outta my sights.
Addie straight-out says to both Wreck and Igni.
Alright, remember everyone, out welcome party should be waiting on us. I hope..
Daniels looks and eventually sees a place that looks good.
"Oh, think I've spotted something, sir!"
(As the boats get closer to shore, everyone will be able to see a group of about two dozen Pokémon, all of them Fire-type Pokémon, half of them either Vulpix or Ninetales, the other half other kinds of fire-types, awaiting the arrival of the two boats and their occupants some distance up the beach from the barge.)
There they are. How close can you get us?
I ask Benji as I feel an overwhelming sense of relief yet still dread. If she ignored these villagers, then how much further did she go? Only somewhat further than this? What if she's already covered more than half the ground to make it to the volcano? Once again I take a sense of relief and turn it into something of unfeltering fear.
Ophelius sees exactly what his men do. The welcome party. A sense of relief of his own accord washes over him, for now mostly as he has a mark of where to park this boat.
Okay, I'm going in closer. Miller, Daniels, look for anywhere near these mons I can park this.
He coughs for a moment before bellowing out an order to the rest of the mons in the Guild Boat, also probably reaching the Shifter.
This is your captain speaking. We are on approach to Danjor Island now. I hope you're all ready to face what lies ahead. This mission begins now.
(Port town's filled with Fire-types. Makes sense given we're nearing a volcano, but no Clamperl in sight. I know it should be reassuring that we got to the island first, but it's just too convenient for that to happen, especially since that Gorebyss likely had a head start. Speaking to the people on the boat, I voiced my concerns.) I'm not entirely sure if we can trust them. Better stay on guard just in case they're working for her.
Fire-types? Were we too early? (Miller looked at Ophelius when he gave the order and back to the town.)
(Upon seeing something a little bit away from the bulk of the town, Miller reported.) Found some space to dock on our right!
Bailey stands (or floats) at attention. "Ready... I think." He leans over to Rex.
"I think we're ready as we'll ever be, right, Rex?" says Bailey. "I am nervous though..."

"Y-yeah, me too..." says Rex. "But we can do this..."

Looks like the fellas on the other boat have found somewhere. Let's follow 'em! (Benji says.)
(It becomes more apparent as the party draws closer that the small village seems to have already experienced Phoebe's wrath, albeit not to the extent of Whispering Pines. The buildings seem to only be soaking wet or mildly (but not critically) damaged and some debris lies on the rock paths, but overall it looks more like only a particularly strong thunderstorm came through rather than a hurricane.)
Looking over the town, Noriaki commented, "It would seem she's been here already, but the townspeople's defense was more effective, judging by the state of their buildings and population."

I brace as we are beginning to get to a spot for which to park this boat. We also are able to get range view of the village as it becomes readily apparent she made it through here, too, yet not as bad as Whispering Pines was. Could have been a quick hit and go. Makes sense if she wanted to go further down the island ASAP. I try to wave to any of the villagers to see if we can garner their attention.
Alright, I see it! We're pulling in, arms and legs inside the boat!
Ophelius executes a smooth turn to set the boat on the path to get into the spot his lackeys coordinated for him. He controls the boat so that it's a slow, steady, calm approach to make it to the place for which to dock. In tandem with this, Clayton heads to the boat's back to help Benji park the Shifter in this same manner.
These...villagers. Are they the lone populace here? Or are they survivors?
All the while, Ophelius goes to complete the parking process, calling for his lackeys to help lower the ladder.
(Having mostly said what I wanted to already, I opt to stay quiet for the time being, waiting patiently to follow Addie. I'd rather not get lost on my own at a time like this. Though the idea of adventure does excite me a bit, the circumstances are causing me to be moreso fearful of what might happen.)
(Miller proceeds to the ladder and lowers it onto the dock.)
(The place's been attacked, which means they are here. Yet, this town is nowhere near as bad as the last one. Still, it doesn't make me any less tense. All I can really do is set foot and hope it's not an ambush.)
"There's so few people left..." says Rex quietly as he notices the villagers. "Did she capture everyone in the town already...?"
(As we're docking and about to get off the boats, I notice an older Ninetales within the group of villagers motion for them to follow him before he bounds up to us, all nine of his tails flaring. Wait- are we about to get ambushed like Grigori was afraid of??)
State your business before you move any further! (The Ninetales shouts.) Are you with the Gorebyss?
(...Or THEY think WE'RE in league of Phoebe instead of the other way around...) What?? Absolutely not!
(He doesn't look like he's convinced yet...)
The other Respite Village villagers are up for grabs.
