ITT: We Have All Become Pokémon

"Livin' is neadd..." The sleeping Whitney mutters quietly.

The doctor heads over to his desk, pulling out a case. When he opens it up, inside is a very familiar looking orb...

"This," he begins. "Is a transfer orb. Are you familiar with these? It will alter her form and, you may know this, her brain is attached to her body. If we do this, it'll give the brain a soft reboot so to speak. She may have a foggy mind for a while, but she'll live."

Funhouse

"Yeah!" Rex says to Bailey after the two land. "I was worried for a while, but I guess we were never really in danger."

"A transfer orb...."

The owl thinks back to the group's trip to Agartha... Those orbs caused quite the stir, and in Finley's case, seemed like a miserable situation that he himself would never want to be in. But for the sake of her continued survival and health, it still seems like Whitney's best option.

"Very well then", said Noriaki, placing his hat on top of his head again, "If this truly is the only way, then that is what will have to be done. We can only hope that she feels satisfied with whatever she becomes."

Narcia

"You didn't see her go—? She'll be right back, she just wanted me to stay here and make sure nothing happens to you. So don't you worry about that, alright?"

Autumn pats Eliot on the back, her mind wondering if he'd buy it at all even in his current state. For the most part, her gaze is on the ever-shifting crowd as she tries to spot either of the two Raichu who would be particularly welcome in this situation.

Feeling unwell, arrrrrre we Eliot?

"No! Mom wouldn't steal! You just wanna make up a reason to take her stuff! Stoppit!"

Sally begins to struggle against Dinah at this point, upset by the direction the discussion has taken after she'd mentioned her mother's name. She doesn't know where she'd go should she break free, but at the moment any choice of direction is a good one to the Clamperl.

Narcia (Around Sally)

(Oh no...I struggle to keep a grip on Sally. I suppose if I was young and someone accused my mother of being a thief I would react the same wa-...)

(.....)

(...I shake my head and focus on the matter at hand.) Sally, we never said we were going to take her stuff! (But if we arrest Phoebe then we may well have to...) Sally, please calm down!

Erm...y-you know how if you haven't swallowed in a while it makes your voice sound slightly different? (" He'll never buy that! You bungled up again, Winnie, run!!") Um, I must be going...!!

(Winnie whirls around and trips over the bench she was just seated at. Her form destabilizes a bit, making it clear to Dennis that she is a disguised Ditto.) Ouch! Gosh darny diddly doo dah!! (She sputters before continuing to run away, barely managing to keep her Whimsicott form as she does so.)

Narcia (Fun House)

No kiddin'! (Marsha says.)

Are you all alright? (Lilac asks.)

Yeahs... (Marsha says, making sure Marlon gets safely up to his feet.)

I guess from now on I should just use invisible stairs... (Lilac says.) But anyway, I'm glad you all enjoyed this little trip through the funhouse!

Yeahs, thanks! (Marsha says. She looks to the others.) Welp, let's catch up with the othahs, eh?

   Oh! Hmm...    (Izzy thinks.)    Hmm...to fix a hole in a boat...I suppose I could create a patch out of vines, but that won't last but so long...

Dennis starts to give chase, but a full 300+ pounds of fire pig isn't really going to get the job done. Yet still, he calls out to Larry-or that's who he thought he'd be talking to. But who is this mon now?

Funhouse

After Marsha comes over to help me I am in fact able to stabilize myself onto two feet. Good. Bad, I kicked up more pain in the leg again. But not as bad as the instant that pillar crashed through my leg. Ugh. After taking a few deep breaths I nod in agreement with Marsha.

Yeah, I can't imagine that we wouldn't be able to meet back up with at least some of them. Thanks again, Lilac!

I stumble ahead but keep myself steady enough to turn around and wait for the others to catch up.

I'm sure you'd like to meet the others, huh...Bailey and Rex, right?

   This was a generally fun little adventure....   , I agreed with the others as I slowly landed on the ground. Levitate sure is a blessing...

Yeahs, let's get goin'! (Marsha says, leading the way out of the funhouse.)

(The funhouse isn't a huge distance from where everyone else is. Marsha quickly notices the commotion around where Grigori and Dinah are.) Uh, hope everythin's okays ovah there.

   Let me see...    (Izzy sits down to think.)

(The cursed mons and I don't really leave the inn for the rest of the day. After a restless nap full of bad dreams related to the past couple of days, I wake up and quickly realize that a few hours must have passed because when I look out the window I see that it's dusk. Whoops. Well, there goes any chance of sleeping well tonight.)

(There's a knock on the door. I figure that it's one of the cursed mons coming back from...I guess either downstairs or from their rooms. I know Maran and Sunny were downstairs. I guess Rich was keeping Dieter company and Cortez was asleep, too.)

(I get up and groggily walk up to the door and open it-) AUGH!

(Three Delilahs?! I must still be dreaming. I slap myself with one of my antennae...no, still awake. What...?)

Goobert, Goobert, calm down, I'm the real Delilah! (The left-most Delilah pushes past the other two and up to me.) I told you two that we shouldn't have pulled that prank on Goobert.

(The other two Dels respectively poof and morph back into June and Benji. Oh, I should have known it was them...I must really be tired if I didn't immediately see right through that.) Sorry! How are ya doin', Gooby? What's goin' on outside?

Yeah, everyone's goin' nuts, just sayin'. (Benji says.)

It's a looooong story... (I heave a sigh. Now that the shock has worn off, I'm very glad to see that Del, Benji and the others have returned.) To make a long story short, the mayor's assistant got fired because she was trying to fight the VA in the worst possible way, the mayor resigned because of it, and now the town's gonna elect their replacements. Rich and Dieter can probably explain it better than I can.

Wow...wow, we missed a lot... (Del says.)

Yeah, did those fellas we hired to fix the boat even have time to do that? (Benji asks.)

Not until today. They got caught up in the whole mess. The Shifter should be ready by tomorrow, though. (I say.) Hopefully, anyway.

Great! Can't wait 'til we can get goin'! (June says.) Everyone's excited t' be headin' out there!

Are you going to come down to see everyone else? (Del asks.)

I dunno... (I shrug.) Just...everything was so overwhelming. I've never been through anything like that before and I need time to diffuse...

Okay, pal, you keep restin'. (Benji says.) Sure Del will be back up here later, right?

Oh, yeah... (Delilah nods.)

See you guys after a while... (I say, turning to start heading back to bed.)

Ah, the fresh open air once again. Feels good no matter who you are. The festival still is in full swing, but now I find myself wondering about what our sleeping arrangements would be for this evening since I can tell some time has definitely passed. Yet before that thought can be put into action Marsha points out some commotion uphill involving Grigs, Dinah, and who I can only assume to be the kid. Before moving up I look back towards Bailey and Rex.

Those two up there are Grigori and Dinah, introduce yourselves if you want but I think there's more pressing matters to be had..

I lead our group up towards Grigs and Dinah where I indeed confirm that the commotion seems to be involving Sally.

What's been going on here? We just came out of the funhouse and saw you guys in a bit of a squabble with someone...is Sally alright?

I inquire further when I receive a 2nd confirmation about this commotion being about Sally. What did they find out? Let's find out.

(I tried not say it out loud as for the little one to hear. No promises on that.) You know that group of Clamperl raiders the cops talked about back in Foxfell? We found out that she's a part of them. And by extension, we know who her mother is. All we got to figure out is where.

Narcia

Rrrrrright you are! Poorrrr thing, you must be exhausted. Why don't you let me take a look, I'm sure you wouldn't mind, Autumn?"

As his dialogue shifts from telepathic to vocal, the same Espeon pads up to the table and leaps onto its elevated surface, watching the two mons in front of him with a serene expression. Autumn stops patting Eliot for a moment, and after a quick scan reveals still neither hide nor hair of Mila or Koss she finally speaks up.

"Well, I... if Eliot's okay with it. A-and if you tell us how you got here and know what's going on."

"No! I don't believe you!"

Sally continues to struggle, though she soon realizes that it's hopeless for her to attempt to escape in such a manner. Instead of giving up, however, she spots another course of action, and begins to shout towards the festival crowd.

"Help!"

"I think change is kinda bad... just gib me a dollar..." Whitney groans, before Minz looks to Noriaki.

"While I doubt it would happen, just be prepared for her to become a... Wailord, or something."

(I look around frantically at everyone else as I continue struggling to keep a grip on Sally. I can already see many eyes turning in our direction as Sally begins crying for help, including who appear to be a couple of police officers. What do I do? What do any of us do?)

What do we need to do?? (I frantically ask the others.)

Uh... (Marsha doesn't seem to know. Rubbing her head, she turns to the Drifloon and Sandshrew that showed up with her and the others.)

I guess we walked up ta the othahs at a bad time... (Marsha asides to Bailey and Rex.)

Blissparce Now on Day 26

(After what feels like ages, the next day finally arrives. The sun peeks in through the window and hits my eyes. I sit up, grab my glasses off the nightstand, and look around. I notice that Del has already gotten up, and given the sound of running water in the bathtub I hear from the washroom, I think I know where she is.)

(Once again feeling thankful that this whole mess is over, I decide to see who all else is up. I put my glasses on my face and groggily walk toward the door.)

(Stepping out, I nearly walk right into Maran and Sunny.) Oh, hey guys.

Good morning, Goobert! (Sunny chirps.) Are you feeling better this morning?

Yeah, much better. I'm just still trying to wake up... (I say, rubbing my eyes.) Is anyone else up?

Bzz, I know I heard Rich outside our room...unless that was a doppelganger of him of course, bzz... (Maran says.) Everyone else besides us and Cortez was staying downstairs, and we haven't been downstairs yet, so I couldn't tell you if they're up yet.

Well, guess we'll find out when we get down there. (I say.) I think I'll wait for Del, you guys can go ahead and we'll catch up.

All right! (Sunny says.) Farewell for now!

(Maran and Sunny continue on, and I sit down to wait for Del.)

Outside, Festival

Oh NO. The kid is in fact one of that Gorebyss's "Children." We need to-oh fuck she's brought attention to us...

Oh you've gotta be shitting me...we need to find those detectives, anyone who'll help us figure this out.

After thinking on the fly for a moment in this evolving situation I motion for everyone of our group to get behind me.

I'll explain what exactly is going on here.

Or I'll try, at least. Damned if I do, damned if I don't.

Dos Santos house

And so Tiff and her sisters worked throughout the night, working out ways to make use of Izzy's new form to repair the boat. They got a good amount of progress done but stopped to sleep for the night. They still need a bit more progress but they will accomplish the boat today-hopefully. Rolling out of bed while once again wearing her Pumpkaboo tank she walks into the hallway.

We found a lawst kid yesterday and we've been tryin' ta find 'er parents. (Marsha explains.) And...uh...looks like we just found out her mom's apparently a nutty criminal people have been lookin' for. It's kinda hard ta explain...

(Once we're ready, Del and I head down the stairs as well. Everyone seems to be up and in the dining room at the moment except for Benji and Lucy and gathered around a large table. I don't see Maran and Sunny, either, but I guess they just went to do their own thing this morning. The dining room otherwise seems mostly empty aside from a Sceptile and Haxorous (who strangely appear to be dressed like a magician and mage respectively) sitting on either side of a another Pokémon reading a newspaper on the opposite end of the room. Must be a small Pokémon because I can only see their small black hands holding said newspaper.)

Going by what all I've heard happened here, I understand completely. (Renata says, a solemn expression on her face.) How terrible...

(As we sit down, I notice that our group that just came back from Gleamscape now has a Chansey and a Chandelure I don't recognize in its ranks. I think this is the first time I've seen a Chandelure since getting here, and man, they look really cool in real life...)

(Mia is already up and ready to go when Tiff shows up. As is Izzy.)    Good morning, Tiff! I cannot wait to finish repairing the boat!    (Izabel cheerfully greets Tiff.)

Your vines really came in handy yesterday, sis! (Mia tells Izzy.) I hope we have time to finish it with the town meeting we're going to be having later this morning...
