ITT: We Have All Become Pokémon

Makes sense thay they would take front, then.

Another group member takes note of an entryway, specifically a window. Seems we're looking for a way to infiltrate.

I can't really do much, anyways.

"So, do pokemon moves work like in the games? Do we need PP to use them?"

The Manor (Side)

Okay, no confrontations just yet but..we have to either climb up this wall, or go down a bit and bust through a wall. I look down at the still-nocked psychic bow and motion for everyone to follow.

Upon arriving at the wall I take a few steps backward and again motion for everyone to move and get themselves behind me, then I pull back, aim, and fire.

From the arrow emanates two backward C-shaped blades of psychic energy fire outwardly and upward. After dancing for a bit, both blades become one wave of energy that slowly descends down again, attempting to carefully slice the wall open...which might or might not work. The bow and arrow then fade.

The Manor (Back)

Well, if we're gonna just brute force the door, at least let me try...my shell is rock hard.

Kevin stands back and attempts to use a simple Tackle on the door.

Dana stays back for now, observing Arthur before she makes any moves.

The Manor, Back

A certain Zoroark basically appears from the shadows. she was always here. What are you talking about

"Hey wait hold on- we should be smart about this. I know how to pick locks, let me see it."

All the backstory talk completely soars over Whitney's head, but she quickly leaps into action once he begins attacking. Since she's one of the closest, she quickly leaps at him, trying to slash away at him. Guy looks sturdy, but it's better than not hurting him at all.

If her strike lands, she quickly leaps back into position with the others, agile if not smart.

If it doesn't, well, it wouldn't be unexpected for her.

Showdown! (Back)

EEYAAH! (Dodie yelps, startled by the Zoroark whom she didn't realize was right beside.) Uh...aye, that'd probably work better...probably 'll leave me with less of a headache, too...

(She steps back to let Jyut pick the lock assuming the door hasn't fallen in already, of course.)

Front of the Manor

(Claude could not help but feel some sympathy for the Golurk for his lost faith, but he still kept his eye on him, unflinching.)    Being a knight is more than just glory and honor! A knight should defend the people, no matter what! But I see your mind refuses to change. Her words are like honey and you have fallen for the scent, not knowing that they are laced with venom. For your lost honor, I shall fight!    (Zelda just sighed as the knight charges forth, blade first with a shadowy energy surging from the edge. She followed him but only from above to keep her distance.)

(Eliza meanwhile hangs back, observing the Golurk to figure out how he fights. Cowards serving disgusting Pokémon are something she's too familiar with. She tried her damnedest to reign in her anger and focus on the golem ahead.)

The Side of the Manor

(Two points of entry, eh? While Marlon works on the wall, I looked at the window. From this distance, it might be big enough to fit me in there.) I'll try the window. The rest of you can focus on that wall. (With that, I flapped my wings towards the opening and tried to look inside.)

The Back of the Manor

(As the door was being worked, he noticed a Zoroark offering a stealthier solution. Not that stealth was much of a factor now that the whole castle knows they're here. Arsene made another proposition.) If that won't work, I'll melt it down. (At least that won't make so much noise.)

L'Arachel's Manor, Side Group

I sigh as I shake the paint off my finger, the Sketch now complete. "I don't know if it really matters or not," I say to Nero, getting a little frustrated with how flippant this guy's talking about game stuff. "And frankly, you shouldn't..."

Autumn...why's she coming with us? Not that I'm faulting...wait, she doesn't fight, okay, what is she doing here? "Autumn, why aren't you with the other group? That, that's the perfect one for you!"

[L'Arachel's Abode: Front]

The attacks from Whitney phase straight through Arthur's ghostly body.

Arthur sneers and does a quick ramming of his foot at Whitney, assuming she stumbled from the missed attack.

He looked to Claude and responded, "[teal:'For the sake of my lost honor'? Interesting. As a fellow man of knighthood, show me by blade which of our ideals holds true.]]"

Arthur swung his fist in a Shadow Punch that he intended to meet Claude's blade with.

Montresor prepared a Shadow Ball as Notte began sharpened his blades in a Swords Dance.

Noriaki prepared a Swords Dance himself.

[L'Arachel's Abode: Side]

The damaged wall unceremoniously falls back from the impact of Marlon's cuts, creating a sizable opening with not too much noise created. The room it leads in to seems to be some kind of dusty armory, no one seeming to be present inside.

The window has a stained-glass-esque design, making it difficult to look in, but the shapes and colors of what seem to be the Combee around the ceiling can be seen, as well as a large, grayish shape.

[L'Arachel's Abode: Back]

"I was actually thinking it'd be the best to just try and break it down", Gerome commented.

The door took notable damage, but was still mostly standing.

Jyut would be able to pick the lock very easily, although she may hear the sound of shuffling and muttering from beyond the door...

"Pretty syre it does. I mean, They'd be pretty useful, depending on the situation, I'd at least like to know how they work. I'm also asking because I could maybe use vine whip as a rope...Though, I don't think that'd be useful now."

For some reason, I sensed some hostility towards myself. Had I stepped on a landmine?

Manor, Front

Dana tries to support the fighters from a bit further back by strategically aiming Ice Shards to distract Arthur.

Manor, Back

Jyut frowns when she hears the noises. She steps up to the lock, messes with it for a bit, and then signals for the others to get ready to attack. As soon as she's sure everyone's looking alive, she pulls the lock off and attempts to kick the door open.

Whitney falls right through the giant, given a harsh kick for the trouble and landing with a resounding thud in front of the others.

"... ow..." She crawls up, looking back at him. Just another person who doesn't take her seriously. Just someone who probably wishes he could just ignore her and call it a day... "HEY!!" She shouts, demanding to be noticed. "Don't shake me off so easily!" Her regular attacks do absolutely nothing, and her fire attacks might as well be doing nothing at all. She's totally powerless.

"You really think everyone else is so important?! You mean just as much as me! You're nothing! Shit!" She seems to be lost in her own mind at this point. Even if her attacks would mean nothing, the least she can do is distract him. "YOU HEAR ME?! ENOUGH WITH THIS DIGNIFIED BULLSHIT, WHY DON'T YOU JUST DROP THE POLITE GUY ACT AND FIGHT FOR REAL, HONOR BE DAMNED!" At this point, she's moved away from the others, still screaming away. "OR ARE YOU TOO 'REFINED' EVEN FOR THAT?"

Showdown (Front)

(Arthur seems to be distracted by Notte and Claude. Perfect! Marsha spits out another Water Gun at him.)

(Realizing that he's at a type-disadvantage and needs to use some moves that he hasn't used in a while. He curls up in a ball on the ground, spins as hard as he can, and launches himself toward Arthur. Cole used Gyro Ball!)

Side

It looks...empty in there... (I remark.)

Stay vigilant, Ms. Martinez, looks can be deceiving, as they say... ( Gene says.)

(He nods at Marlon and steps ahead into the opening.)

Back

(Dodie puts up her vines as Jyut kicks down the door.)

Vs. Arthur

(The two attacks collided, energy bursting from the epicenter. Taking the brunt of the Shadow Punch, Claude moved back to place his shield in front of him, changing forms. Behind his metal barrier, he responded to the Automaton Pokémon.)    Have you forgotten the ones you protected, no matter the cost?   

(Nearby, the Togekiss launched an Air Slash from above. Sure she may not have the ability to make it more potent, but at least she might hit something vital. Meanwhile, Eliza walks to the fight, still trying to gauge the guardian's capabilities.)

Manor's Side

(Looks like her personal heavy-lifter's around here. Upon seeing what lies beyond the window, I made my way down and reported my findings.) I think we've got her pet Aerodactyl upstairs from here. Besides that, it's just more Combees. (Looking in the hole, I scanned the armory. Looks empty so far. I might as well join in with them, seeing how the other choice leads to me being outnumbered. Strength in numbers, as they say.)

Manor's Back

(Upon hearing the commotion beyond the door, Arsene narrowed his eyes and prepared a Dragon Pulse for whatever might burst out.)

Manor Side

"I'm... I'm here to make sure you're safe, Eliot. After what happened yesterday I don't want— I won't let us get hurt, okay?"

Autumn tries hard to swallow her pride and her fears as she responds to Eliot. After yesterday and today, she knows she can't go on doing the same thing she always has. And she can't lie to the currently-Salazzle either. When the Snivy asks a question, though, she sees a different opportunity to be of some use.

"This is as real a place as anywhere else, as long as you can push through the exhaustion you can keep anything up. Likewise... most people here would get suspicious hearing you describe game mechanics."

Manor Front

Mila shudders as Whitney begins shouting, not knowing how to help in such a situation. Worse, Grigori seems to have left and that leaves just her, Koss, and Woodruff to their present task. She looks over to them, trying to get a grasp on whether they're really still willing to try something like this or whether they should give up and find some other way to be useful.

"Are we... still going to do this?"

"If yer goin', ah am. At least wit' us we should be able ta move pretty quick. Ya know Agility, Woodruff?"

It occurs to Koss that he hadn't considered whether Woodruff really was much of a fighter, given the young age he'd met the Furret, but for now he's more interested in how quickly they'd be able to make their way through the manor and how feasible it was for them to attempt to outrun threats.

"Ah, Yeah, that makes sense...So does your other statement."

I didn't think much of it, but there was a guy that said he was actually from this place. I'll just tone it down a little.

"I'll be careful."

L'Arachel's Manor, Side Group

"...alright." I nod, not giving her presence much more thought than it needs. Is it really about yesterday? If it is, I can't fault her for that...and it's somewhat reassuring.

The wall comes down cleanly enough, which...alright, that was better than I was expecting. "Not bad, not bad...Nero, come on, we're heading in." I start heading towards our makeshift entrance...tell me I'm not gonna be this kid's shepherd, am I? Hell, he's probably the same age as me, thinking on it...height is a hell of a drug.

L'Arachel's Manor, Rescue Group

Woodruff nods. "Yea, of course...it's a hop and a skip to Quick Attack, and that's about as easy as wigglin' my fingers." He looks ahead...the front group's already scrapping with Arthur, which means they're running behind.

"Well, I think we should get goin'. We got people waitin' on us."

"Got it."

I felt somewhat uncomfortable, being next to useless, and without a good grasp on the situation, but I try to not bother with thinking about it too much.

I'd rather not slow them down more than I have, already.

L'Arachel's Manor: Front

I made a surprised face as Nyquil started howling really loud.

What a sneaky, rotten bastard...

Thanks to it, the Combee swarm started buzzing, but it didn't move...

Then Achilles and Hector nodded at me, and I nodded back at them, as I started to follow the serial path they started to take.

Manor Side

The wall succeeds in breaking down under the pressure from the "precision" (air quotes) cuts from the blades. I'll admit, for something I kinda came up with on the spot it sure as shit worked..anyway, we need to draw deeper. The Asshole Aerodactyl that broke my stone is upstairs as well? Hmmmm....no time for personal vendettas. I feel like Sargeant Barnes from that one Purge Movie, however...okay, again, we have a job to do. I step inside and look around the armory and feel kinda off put as to what's even here. Why would she amass this quality of weapons?

Why would she have all of this? Was she preparing to go to war to take over this entire island?

I start looking through the armory to try and find a way through. Once everyone takes in the armory and possibly answers my question, I simply state the following before carefully stepping forward.

Stay frosty.

Manor Back

[Vs. Arthur]

"I have not, in fact", Arthur responded to Claude, "Those memories have become soured in my mind as but a moment in the eternity that I have served the people, especially so that in this case it was under pretense set by the withholding of my memories..."

Arthur is struck by Zelda's Air Slash and looks up at the Togekiss. He launches an Ice Beam from his eyes, while not being very strong from his Special Attack, in an attempt to get the air target lower. The Ice Shards from Dana do catch him off guard and cause him aim to be much shakier, not like range was ever his strong suit anyway.

He gets struck directly once again by Marsha's Water Gun, he looks about ready to counterattack, but is struck by a Shadow Ball launched by Montresor. The Golurk looks to where the attack came from, only to immediately spot Noriaki rushing at him with an empowered Leaf Blade ready, Notte running by his side. He winds up his fist and laucnhed another Shadow Punch that blows the Decidueye back, but the shiny Bisharp had managed to remain steadfast and continued moving.

"Resilient, aren't we?", Arthur sneered as he winded up his fist with more gusto, trying to deliver a Dynamicpunch as his opponent drew closer.

Notte had barely managed to slide underneath the attack and Night Slash through the automaton Pokemon's arm, causing him to cringe back.

Cole's assault also lands, making the Golurk stumble back a bit. Some may notice he doesn't seem to put much effort inn to dodging.

Then he focuses on Whitney yelling at him.

"No insults can defeat me, young one", he responded, "But you clearly wish to see more.... Very well, then...!"

With that, the automaton Pokemon flourished his ragged cape a bit and pulled out what he was hiding underneath it... A large, sharp-edged, flat sword of stone he held with both hands.

"This is the pride of a Knight of Eluant!"

Arthur swung the massive stone weapon over his head in a downward arch in front of himself. The swing itself would be easily dodged, but it unleashed an Earthquake on impact.

While Montresor had managed to avoid damage entirely, Noriaki and Especially Notte were hit by the Earthquake.

[Armory ("Side" Group)]

Most of the contents of the armory seem to be untouched for the most part, with a thin layer of dust collecting. The room itself has a staircase to the side that leads to a platform with a closed door leading presumably deeper in to the building.

[Air Group]

The two beetle guardians and Rainmaker would find themselves at the other side of the building.

"Alright, Rainmaker", said Achilles, looking up at the Combee swarm encircling the upper area of the manor, "See if you can make it rain, then stop it some time after it seems like all those drones leave so I can Mega Evolve and carry Hector up there with us. You can Levitate your way up there yourself alongside me, right?"

"I'll wait until we get up there to Mega Evolve", said Hector, "That way I'll be easier to carry."

[Back Entrance]

As soon as the door opens, a ravenous-looking Carnevine lunges forward, its jaws wide open and snarling ferociously.

"...!"

Nephenee is quick to prepare to Lunge, but it seems the others are more prepared to react...

Showdown! (Front)

Yipes! (Marsha yelps as Arthur's sword crashes down. She leaps out of the way but is still knocked around by the resulting Earthquake. Ending up beneath a tree, she regains her senses and hops back up to her feet. She uses Scald.)

(Having rebounded off of Arthur's body after the Gyro Ball, Cole was just at the edge of the Earthquake, so he's not nearly as hurt as he could have been. He mutters to himself as he tries to determine his next move. Recalling that he does have a move that could be super-effective against Arthur, he launches himself toward Arthur, palms-first. Cole used Assurance!)

Showdown (Sides)

Intriguing... (Gene agrees.) If what we've learned about her is true, then I wouldn't call that out of the question.

(I find it unnerving that L'Arachel would take this island...and then the world, by storm like this. All the more reason to stop her. I continue forward and eventually spot a staircase ahead of us.)

Should we take those stairs? (I ask.)

Showdown (Back)

WHOA!! (Dodie (almost reflexively) brings her vines down toward the Carnivine almost as soon as it jumps out (she may end up missing).)

Vs. Arthur

(The Ice Beam managed to graze Zelda's wing. Even if it didn't do much damage, it still stings like mad. She did indeed lower to fire off another Air Slash to the Golurk's legs, yet not enough to be affected by the quake.)

(Claude kept his shield up as Arthur unleashed his Earthquake, yet it started to falter, if only slightly. He kept his gaze at the former knight and responded.)    The memories matter not. It's the very act of protecting them that does.   

(Eliza was barely in range of the quake, causing her to stumble for a step before she regained her stance. If he decided to bring a weapon into this fight, she might as well follow suit. With her right hand, a coiling vine had formed and glowed with energy. Her pace began to pick up as she brandished her whip, ready to fight.)

Manor's Armory

(I followed the rest into the armory, taking note of the dust gathering everywhere. Upon looking at the staircase, I replied to the Krokorok.) Don't see any other way. (At the very least, we got to the armory faster than they did. And at least we're stopping her before she could build her army further than she already had.)

Vs. Carnivine

(As if on cue, Arsene fired a Dragon Pulse straight at the ambushing Carnivine's mouth.)

Manor, Front

Dana is a bit shaken by the Earthquake but being further back, she's not damaged much. She continues putting up interference with Ice Shard.

Manor, Back

"WHOA! Heads up!" Jyut dodges out of the way and attempts to Night Slash the Carnivine in the back.

Air Group

Oh dear, it's time for me to shine...focus now...

   You've made a correct hypothesis, Mr. Achilles. My ability is indeed Levitate...   , I answered the Pinsir, confident.

I then turned to look at the swarm.

   Now...let me do my job...   , my eyes started flashing as I summoned a big portal above the manor.

I then spreaded my arms, creating a big hole on the portal.

What remained of the portal was above the Combee swarm, and rain started descending from it.

I then turned to the Vassals.

   How was that?   , I asked them.

Manor Side

At least we managed to get here before this could ever have been put to use..because if she did, this island would probably get taken over in two, maybe three days flat. Probably exaggerating, but still. Let's keep moving.

I motion for everyone else to follow up the stairs and around the platform to the door. With that being said, heading up and around to the door and listening in to what might be on the other side would reveal..

Manor Back

Woahhhh!

Admittedly, Kevin was not prepared as he thought he was, because he darts backward as soon as he sees the Carnivine dart out, looking mean. Gaining his bearings he comes back into the fray, attempting to Tackle the Carnivine and in doing so he may collide with Neph, who's trying to Lunge the Carnivine herself.
