Soten can't help but look on and smile as he sees Nephenee teach someone else what she's seen him do.
Achilles nods in agreement to Arsene, saying, "Aye, that seems like the best course of action... I know old Soten has more than enough tricks up his sleeve and has a bit of a grudge match with Dorian, so I think I'd like to let him go in for the infiltration team when it forms. Then again, his raw strength might be better for the front lines."

Noriaki attempted to dart through the barrage of Swift stars and deliver an Astonish + Leaf Blade combo.
Yes, the typing, I've been informed of that, was told it's a good type combination, but, how do I put this... (I'm hoping I can drop some hint, or something, to see if they know about what it is I am.) See, I'm a...new arrival to this group, so to speak? I'm still getting used to a lot of stuff here. I actually only really got the hang of flying properly on the way here yesterday, and even then, I don't know that I can pull the kinds of maneuvers that I'd probably need to do in a fight. (There. "New arrival" should be a hint that works. And if they don't get it, it probably sounds normal enough.)

Water types like you can build up water inside of you to use Water-type moves, yes! (Cyrus says.) With this, you can build up the water and fire it out in a great blast, okay? Build the water up inside of (gckh) yourself and, you let it go!

Lane faces a nearby one of the training dummies, and focuses on trying to do the building up water for the move...and is somewhat surprised that it seems to be actually working, to do so.
Okay, here we go.
He sprays the water out of his mouth at the dummy...it's plenty wet now, but some of the spraying went off to the sides, and launching the water at a higher pressure may be needed to make the move work better.

Seeing that Achilles is still busy in conversation and realizing that she has little else to do in this time, Mila tries to wrack her mind for ways to make herself useful in some way. She could attempt to train physical moves, but she knows she's not cut out for that, and it would do nothing to ease Autumn's mood. Almost feeling beat, Mila slumps against the wall of the inn watching the others, before remembering that there is one other way to train that she can busy herself with in the meantime. She thinks for a moment, trying to come up with an appropriate selection, before settling on an old favorite
from her human days and still even now. She moves quietly, standing up carefully and humming the piano intro she wishes she could still play.

With this move, ya simply let out a high-pitched screech in yer opponent's direction. (Bea explains. She faces the dummy and emits a high-pitched ethereal-sounding Wingull squawk at the dummy.) Keep in mind that th' attack has a big chance of missin', sugar, but if it lands, yer gonna confuse your opponent and be at a big advantage. It's a high-risk, high-reward kinda move.

[...unsure of what to do, I just respond,] "Weeeeeeeeee'll...tell you later!" [With a smile, I boop his nose and run out the inn.] Blinking in surprise for a moment at the odd gesture from Eliot, Woodruff grumbles at the non-answer, but he supposes it can't be helped and goes back to slowly eating.
[I walk outside and immediately feel refreshed as the sun strikes my skin...scales. Stretching myself, I then let out a deep sigh as I walk over, no, bound towards Marsha and...wait, who's this?] "H, hello," [I say to the Tsareena, glancing awkwardly at Marsha.] "A, am I interrupting something?"

Higgins, alongside Amy, slithers up to the altar, a berry dropping from his tiebag before he stops, which he quickly picks back up and replaces in the tiebag. Letting his tiebag down, he then addresses the townsfolk, with an assurance in his voice previously unheard of by the visitors, "My fellow citizens. I thank you for gathering here today to honor the great spirits of the forest, from whom the first tree was sown by their design, and the last tree will die under their watchful eye."
He turns around to face the altar. "And now...a moment of silence. So that we may listen to the forest, and hear its guidance, and hear the spirits speak to us through the breeze that flows between the trees." And with that, he bows his head, as do a number of the congregation, though not everyone. Somewhat notably, a Vileplume sitting towards the front simply looks on at the Dunsparce with crossed arms and a harrumph.

(Given that I'm an out-of-towner who is mostly just spectating this, I keep my head up and keep looking around at everyone as well. I look and notice Rich is also looking up, and Maran is looking down and idly clicking his claws together. Looking up at the stage, I notice Amy standing there awkwardly standing there looking over everyone.)
(Among the Dos Santos family, Maria has her head down, while Mia's head is only halfway down and Pancho (like several others) is simply looking straight ahead with a sour expression on his face. He's still frustrated that Higgins thinks that making the town's good-luck ceremony a weekly deal is the only way to help defend the town from VA and his mind is still on Izzy's loss.)

Back home...whew...glad I made a profit this week... (She says to herself as she draws closer to the Blissparce entrance, pulling her empty wagon behind her.)
(As she does, she sees something strange sticking out of a bush. She pauses to look and, upon closer inspection, sees that it's the end of a Heliolisk's tail. She knows exactly who this probably is.)
Lying in wait for me as I come home, are you, Harvey? (She says, derisively pulling the tail out from the bush and expecting Harvey to be dragged out of it as well.)
(She gasps when she sees that only the tip of Harvey's tail seems to come out of the bush.) What? (She uses a vine to part the bush the rest of the way and-)
AAACK!!! *hurk*...!! (She loses her lunch.)

(When the Salazzle entered, Eliza replied to her question.) Oh, not at all. (She sighs as she starts to recount her story.) My mother, the Emerald Queen that is, used to fight him on occasions. The last time they fought, it was after he had recently toppled the district champion, Carl Kingston. They had their battle and she won rather closely, but it's not the fight itself that stuck out...
(Here comes the unpleasant part, she thought. Her tone had lost all emotion, all except a morose longing.) I'm not sure what exactly caused it, but he had beaten Kingston to death in the ring almost after my mother had left it. Afterwards, he was sent to prison, never to walk free again...

I got hit by the Swift. “Ow ow ow ow ow ow,” I said in rapid succession, and kept saying ”Ow” for each Swift star that hit me. I spring back into action and retaliated with Aqua Tail.

Seeing all three of them trying to hit me at once, I use Quick Attack to jump up and backwards, landing on a tree branch. "Let's tip the scales!" I tilt my head upwards and spit out a large ball with an intense glow that flies into the sky (Sunny Day). From the higher ground given by the branch, I look down on my opponents with anticipation.

"Basically, yeah, you could almost say it's a Sand Attack that actually damages the enemy", said Nephenee, "I just want to be sure you have good control over Ground."
"Minato is pretty good at guarding, but he's at an age where he just doesn't hit as hard as he used to, but his Powder moves are still useful", Achilles explained to Arsene, "And Nephenee.... She's tough, but she's got a pretty fiery temper and is clearly still in training when it comes to a lot. I'd be more comfortable if those two stuck with the main, larger group, honestly."

Noriaki took this moment and used Synthesis to heal himself in the sunlight. If he can move fast enough, he also throws a quill right at the branch Nyquil is perched on at the tail end of his healing.

[...I cover my mouth in shock as Eliza, as Marsha has called her a moment before, recalls her story. ...then a question immediately springs to mind.] "Wait, who's the...who's the guy you were talking about, the one who went t'prison?" [I don't yet ask who exactly she is or what she's doing here, but it wouldn't really be polite of me to do so.]

With a deep breath, Higgins turns back to the townsfolk.
"And now, if we may prepare our sacrifice." A large bowl, sitting on stone pegs above a curved indention set into the ground, sits at the base of the altar. Higgins approaches the bowl and awkwardly props himself up onto it, pulling the tiebag onto the lip of the bowl and pouring in his share of berries.
One by one, members of the congregation put in their share, though again, some simply sit there, including the Vileplume from before, who, along with a few other citizens, swivels around in confusion at the police overseeing the service. They would be handing out tickets at this point, including to him...he'd already gotten one before, last week in fact, though his little garden had died from the heat (or something like that). Even then, there were a number of times he wouldn't fall in with Rave's bullshit, so why not fine him now?
Blissparce, Somewhere Else in Town
"...Taylor, didja hear that?" A Servine, wearing a blue cloth sash with a golden star-shaped badge pinned at chest level, cranes her neck to locate the source of what she thinks is a scream. The Hitmonlee walking with her, also wearing a blue sash and a badge and apparently named Taylor, stops as well and looks around, though isn't sure what she's referring to.
"H-hear what, Taylor?" Apparently, the Servine's name is also Taylor. Still confused, he yelps when Taylor smacks him and points at a Tropius just barely visible from where they are.
"Right there!" "Could you not do that again, I think you left a bruise—" She pulls him in close, their cheeks smooshing together. "You think that's the guy?" Taylor looks at his partner, then back to the supposed Tropius. "...I-I'm pretty sure she just found something, Taylor."
Taylor released the Hitmonlee from her vice-grip sidehug and glances at him.
"I'm gonna go see what's up over there."
"I'm gonna tell the captain."
With a nod from either of them, they both set off in their respective directions, Taylor A* running towards the Tropius and Taylor B* shuffling towards the town center.

(Arsene spoke to the Pinsir.) I believe that's as far as we know, besides from her. (He pointed at Eliza while she was conversing.) She would be on the stealth team, in my opinion considering we're likely dealing with bug-types. Other than that, that's it. If you got any other ideas, let me know. (Seeing and recognizing the Servine running up to her as being on Blissparce's police force, the Tropius turns to Taylor A.)
Oh good, you're here... (She says to Taylor, motioning towards the bush she found Harvey's remains in.) I found a...a mess that was once a Heliolisk in this bush...I think it's another of *those* murders. Oh my goodness, I hoped I would never be one to discover one of these...
(She retches a bit again, the image of what she saw burned into her mind.)

Dana's Extrasensory pushes me out of the way of the Dragon Claw. Regaining my balance, I fire a wide volley of Swift stars at all of them.
