Zelgius gets bombarded with all the attacks launched at him, he visibly is damaged a lot by them as he flys back yet still higher and takes a look at his targets.

The Aerodactyl opened his mouth wide as a sphere of energy gathered and he yelled, "Hyper Beam!"

It came quickly, forming a massive ray of energy that launched downwards and swept forward.

Regardless of it it hit or not, Zelgius landed a respectable distance away from his opponents and took time to recharge, breathing heavily.

"How DARE you?!", Montresor responded to Dana, clearly angered. The Noctowl was knocked back by the sudden Payback and got pelted with nearby embers. He gave a particularly unhinged-looking glare to the two as his eyes glowed intensely, looking like they did when he used Pyschic but also looking a bit like... Hypnosis?

"Empty Moment!"

Montresor seemed to vanish... But anyone that was near him would suddenly feel as if something unseen was slashing away at them with great force repeatedly. Several seconds of this pass before Montresor reappears, looking as if he had just flown back from something.

Notte blocks the Trop Kick with his arm and tries to knock Eliza off-balance with an upward kick before immediately following up with a swinging punch with his metal fist. Regardless of if he can land this attack, he takes a last-second notice of the Dragon Pulse and manages to sidestep, but still gets nicked by it for reacting too late.

Foxfell

Snaptooth smiled to himself as he walked through the Foxfell streets.

Snaptooth (Inner Thoughts):   Now that I got that Mega Stone before Jack can have it, I'll just have to check on my crew to see what they—   

Snaptooth's thoughts were cut short when a door suddenly opened and smacked him in the face.

   GAAAH!   

As the Feraligatr rubbed his face to try to ease the pain, a startled Poliwrath went out of the shop's doorway in concern, clutching a small wooden box with a painted anchor on the top.

Captain Warfridge: Snaptooth!? Are you okay?

The Feraligatr groaned.

Snaptooth:   I'll be fine.   

The Poliwrath relaxed a bit, still a tad shaken up.

Warfridge:: Anyways, have you seen Revaige? He hasn't showed up for his shift today.

That got the Feraligatr's attention, but he pretended not to show it.

Snaptooth:   Revaige? He told me that he found love again and left to pursue her.   

Warfridge sighed.

Warfridge: Ah yes, love... aye, wouldn't be the first time one of my sailors left to pursue love...I did the same thing when I was young. I know how bad the poor guy took his divorce, the gal just couldn't take any more of his long outings at sea. If you come in contact with him again, tell him the captain gives his regards and that he hopes she's the one this time.

Snaptooth nodded. He had noticed Warfridge's new box by now but decides to say nothing on it.

Snaptooth:   Will do, Captain!   

The two parted ways.

The Gothorita, who did not get the experience necessary to evolve by retrieving the party's drinks, comes back to take the group's orders.

Tiago just hugs the others and joins the tears and sniffing of sadness.

Seeing Montresor vanish immediately shocks me. (Wh-What?!) Since I've fought Sephiroth in Kingdom Hearts II, I know for a fact that vanishing dudes is a bad sign. "DANA, MOVE!" I use Quick Attack to jump for her and try to grab her. As soon as I manage to take hold of her, my body gets cut up in all kinds of places. "AUGH!!!"

DUCK!

Even with my Protect Barrier up and active Marsha and I both hit the ground as the beam rushes by, presumably with Cas and Wrench diving down as well. Popping back up, and noticing that Zelgius needs time to recharge, I fire off another Shadow Ball and Marsha a Water Gun.

Blissparce

Tiff calmly wipes the tear from her mother’s cheek as the family gathers.

Mama...papa...Que hacemos ahora?

After ducking and then getting back up again, I immediately used Aqua Tail.

I dive down. Hyper Beams are cool, until you are on the receiving end of one!

I...I don't.... (Mr. Dos Santos tries to say something to Tiff, but can't seem to articulate anything at the moment.)

We'll...we'll have to plan Izabel's fu-...funeral... (Mrs. Dos Santos says, crying again.) Oh, minha preciosa menininha...she had so much ahead of her...she had so many plans...I wanted to see them come to be so badly...

Despite Niles' efforts, Dana still ends up sliced in several places. After the attack is completed, she shakily stands.

She's not looking too good.

"S-sim. Como é que pode morrer assim?..."^* Y-yeah. How could she die like this?...

The Gothorita waiter nods.

"Yup, I got that. I should have that out in no problem."

He then heads off to get their orders ready.

I hit the ground with a thud. There's cuts and nicks all over me. My back, all of my legs, some on my face... Small amounts of blood seeps out of each and every one. "Da.. na... are you...?" Despite the searing pain, I slowly turn my head to face her. She's standing, but she's still in bad shape. (I couldn't even protect her... I couldn't even do that right...) "... I... I'm sorry..." I whimper as I lose consciousness.

Blissparce (Dos Santos Manor)

Y-You don't think there's really a "mon in the woods", do you? (Mia asks.)

N-Nonsense! I know this is just one of another deaths out there, but there has to be a logical reason for... (Mr. Dos Santos trails off as he begins crying again.)

Vs. Zelgius

(I saw the Aerodactyl perform a Hyper Beam at our direction. I flew up to avoid any debris that would stop me. I looked around and found out a grisly sight. I saw her getting slashed by that Bisharp! My heart had sank, but it soon went up in pure rage. I won't lose her. I won't lose her! I flew at the Bisharp as fast as I can, blades drawn. I'll rip that bastard's head right out of his fucking socket!)

Vs. Notte and Montresor

(Eliza was indeed knocked off-balance from the kick, but she managed to avoid the punch at the last second. However, she wasn't left unscathed as the blade from the Bisharp's arm had left a gash in her cheek. From far away, Arsene narrowed his eyes at the Bisharp. He aimed directly for the Bisharp's head, full force to drown that bastard. He almost fired before he saw a brownish blur had rocketed towards Notte.)

(I growled at the Bisharp, with all the hatred I could muster: enough to bring the Frenzy out.)    GET YOUR FUCKING HANDS OFF HER!    (I won't lose her. Not to this metal fucker!)

Uh huh! I love your pizza to...pizzas! (June calls back. Liesl groans at the terrible joke.)

Yeah! (I also say to Pappa. Man, that burrito was amazing...)

Please tell me we will go back zere? (Sunny asks.) Zat food was incredible, and I have been to many upscale restaurants...

Bzz, I'm sure we'll definitely go back there, Sunny. (Maran promises.)

Zelgius is pelted with the group's attacks as he recharges, barely guarding with his wings to reduce the damage.

"Well, I've had better days... But I've had way worse ones than this", he coughed before regaining his energy and flying straight forward with an Iron Head prepared for Marlon.

Montresor, now flying a few feet from the ground, looks down at Nyquil.

"Hmph, a rather selfless display there, and impressive he could guess what I was doing with Empty Moment", the Noctowl digressed before looking to Dana.

He simply scoffed and tosses a weak Whirlwind her way, seeing as she was shakily standing, and turns to go flutter off to Notte's area.

Notte is taken off-guard by Grigori's attack, getting hit very hard.

"It is not often someone can pierce my armor so well...!", he grunted, but went in to a rather... Strange pose, "But that is not always something to aspire towards."

Metallic energy was released from Notte's body in a counterattack as he cried, "Metal Burst!"

Noriaki was about to send aid with his own attack, but he was spoken to.

"Why do you still persist."

Noriaki looked to his side and saw the approaching Montresor, still a modest distance away.

"This scuffle could have been avoided... I thought I had told you to to cast yourself off some seaside cliff and relieve us of your uncouth presence", he growled before sneering out, "You're just about as useful as the sea foam at the bottom of it, anyway."

Noriaki seemed saddened as if recalling something... But he gained a more determined expression and responded, "The type of person to demand that of someone... The type of person you are... Is not someone I want to fulfill the demands of, especially at the cost of my own well being."

Montresor's eyes narrowed with anger, as expected, but... For a fraction of a second, Noriaki thought that they seemed to flash with... A hint of sorrow?

Noriaki opened his eyes somewhat and spoke softly, "Montresor..."

"Silence...! Silence you wretch!", yelled Montresor, raising his steel pins up and surrounding himself with waves of Psychic energy.

The group of other Pokemon approached more closely, but stayed hidden.

"Damn... That don't look good", said the largest one, "Looks like we're gonna 'ave to use the big guns, then..."

They looked at a greenish crystal held in their pincer...

Main Group

Marsha begins to dart over to attempt to grab Niles and Dana to help them away from Montesor's assault when..

I can't block Zelgius in time.

I go flying.

Slam.

Though I do get right back up uninjured, my stone.

Motherfucker broke it. Clean off.

MARLY! Yer stone...

I feel...really, really REALLY fucking pissed. Like a part of me, just gone. In a move that surprises even me, my eyes darken to an even deeper red color. Wordlessly, and almost animalistically, I aim one arm forward, lock..and unleash my own hyper beam.

Dana is knocked prone, and doesn't get back up.

Just before her consciousness fades completely, she fires one last knife-like piece of ice at Montressor.

(Mia is still reeling from learning that her sister has been killed.)

I dunno if I feel like doing anything anymore...I just... (She mumbles.) I just...what I really want to do is dish out justice for Izzy, but...

(To tell the truth, Mia doesn't know if she can even really motivate herself to do that.)

(Just like that, the Metal Burst had blasted me away from him. I was sent hurtling towards a nearby building and slammed into it hard enough to make a huge dent in it. For a moment, everything went black until I heard another voice...)

(Eliza was shocked to see me charge straight at him. She noticed it. She fell silent for a moment, not sure how to feel about this. Confusion? Anger? Sorrow? Love? Could it be love? She looked at the wound I made and charged forward, trying to throw another Trop Kick at the wound, but she stopped when she saw a blast of water heading towards the Bisharp. She stopped to look at where it came from, a familiar face had rained the maelstrom from on high. She knew someone would be there to pick her up, but she didn't expect the old mon to do it.)

Vs. Montresor

(Cliff... Seafoam... I thought back to how Nori wanted to kill himself. Against my body's judgment, I stood up and lurched towards the Noctowl. Blood came from my mouth, I could barely stand, yet I approached him, anger coursing through my words.)    Who... the fuck... do you think you are!?    (I unleashed one Leaf Blade, ready to lash out if he approaches any further. I'm not sure I can take much more, but I don't care.)

[Narcia]

Zelgius guards from the Hyper Beam with his wings, but even with that and his natural resistance to Normal attacks, the sheer power of the ttack and his low Special Defense damages him quite a bit as he falls to one knee, keeled over.

"Damn...! That's some force...!"

Notte prepares to try and parry and counter Eliza's attack, but he gets hit unexpectedly by the sharpshooter that's been harassing him this whole time. It comes in rather persistently, but he manages to raise his arm in the direction the deluge of water is coming from and put up a Protect. He had been saving the move, so the barrier was formed very firmly.

Damn, I would've launched a blade at him, but these three had me distracted...

Montresor simply sneered at Grigori, but took interest in his visible "Frenzy".

That aura... Hmhmhm... So it is more of a curse... Valuable information. But still, that wretch...!

Montresor's angry thoughts and violent stance is broken as an ice shiv stabs him in the back.

"...!"

The Noctowl falls down and Noriaki immediatley rushes forward and points the Leaf Blade at his neck.

"Stand down", the Dartrix said, also waving a wing at Grigori's direction, "Do not attack him recklessly, Grigori, and try to calm yourself. He is a master illusionist and bender of the forces of mind."

Montresor cawed angrily, "You have n-no right to look down on me..."

"The Montresor I knew, no", said Noriaki, "But what you've become? I think is a pathetic creature that can only be looked down on."

Montresor's eyes filled with rage as he looked like he was about to make an attacking motion, but Noriaki pulled his Leaf Blade closer and said, "Hold. You want to stay alive for the sake of L'Arachel, do you not? Or at least, that is your cognition."

The Noctowl glared angrily and howled, "Oh...! I will be returning to Lady L'Arachel, but with YOUR HEAD IN TOW!!!"

Montresor gained a sudden surge of vigor as he pushes Noriaki back with a Gust and held up a wing to his face, staring at something within it.

"Notte, I am using this power now!", he called to his ally as whatever was in his wing began glowing.

Notte gave a surprised glance to Montresor and called back, "You will not! We were ordered to not unleash our fullest force, especially that! We've found out valuable information and what exactly we are up against, elimination is not entirely necessary, at this point we should retreat!"

"And let this dastard have this victory and allow him to continue disgracing our Lady's presence? I will not...!"

But before Montresor could finish building up the energy, something heavy landed nearby. The Noctowl turned his head to the noise and was greeted by a massive stream of silk being straight straight at him, enveloping him.

Noriaki also turned to spot who was firing it: an Armaldo with a few utility belts and surrounded by a greenish aura.

Narcia

Jack is sound asleep at his "strategic vantage point" he sought after when the fight begin, having quietly split off from the group. Said point is a covered balcony with a few cushions, which he reached via parkour. Minutes ago he was awake, but the exhaustion from the journey and comfy cushions did him in. He can be spotted from where the group is, though they'd have to know where to look.

Narcia [Main Group]

Marsha quickly rushes out one last time to fire a High-Power Water Gun at Zelgius to (presumably) finish him, before rushing back to snap me out of it.

Marly? Marly! Are ya okay?

I don’t initially respond, but rather, I once again see the aura from the time Jack read off our auras..but only the orange and blue sections. Again, why am I seeing this? Did my stone breaking have something to do with that I’m seeing now...?

Marsh...my stone. It’s broken...

Marsha quickly envelopes me into a hug.

Marly...it’s alright..yer still pretty good at fightin’ without dat Galladeite of yours, yanno?

She does have a point....

We share a brief kiss before breaking from it to observe what else is going on...

She says of the sudden development of the Armaldo ensnaring Montresor. She uses this to look over at the unconscious Dana and Niles and begins (again) to dart over and get them away from Montresor and Notte. Figuring Zelgius is down for the count, I move to join her, intending to grab Niles while she grabs Dana.

Yeah, guess you're right... (A part of Mia still wants to figure out who or what might have killed Izzy, though.) Might should tell the Ditto that it might take a bit longer to fix their boat because we need time to grieve and stuff...

(Benji is still in the form of Marjorie as we leave, and turns to the rest of us.) Well, I suppose this is where we part ways. (She says.) Some of us to stay here, some of us to go to Gleamscape, and some of us to Agartha.
