ITT: We Have All Become Pokémon

I'm sure we would have heard, seen, or felt a hurricane or earthquake come through this island, Castaway... ( I point out to Castaway.) This was clearly...something else...

( I desperately try not to let my nerves get more shot than they already are. Why can't I handle being in situations like this very well...?)

The Shifter

Just don't touch anyone else, whatever you do! (Cortez says, still rather angry.)

Aye. (Rich says to both he and Salty.)

(Some time later, we are drawing close to the shore. Three large docks with a few boats of different shapes and sizes moored to them protrude from the beach, and a large beach house sits not far from the left-most one.)

(As we approach the dock, the Rich clone explodes back into June.) Whoaaaaa!! That was weeeeird... (June says, feeling herself over and running her claws through her mane.)

Isn't it? (Sunny says.)

I can't believe I was just another you! (June says to Rich. Then she notices the gaping hole in the boat.) Um...where'd that hole come from? That wasn't me was it...?

(There's a bit of awkward silence.) Aye...that was my mistake, though. I shoulda told ye t' get down from the bench before I changed ye.

(Lucy has been peering down into the hole and watching the water pass by underneath us through it for the past while.)

(I look towards shore and spot some Pokémon on the dock we're approaching waving at us to come close to them. One is a Machamp in an orange tank top covered in red flower shapes (and clearly female considering how I remember Marsha's old friend Maxine the Machoke looks), another is a Conkeldurr wearing what looks like a life-vest and old fisherman's hat, and the third is a Cacturne wearing a fancy-looking swimsuit.)

HEYO! HEY! You all need help docking or are you good? (The Machamp calls. Her accent sounds vaguely Brazilian-sounding.)

Probably gonna need help gettin' the boat outta the water! (Benji calls.)

Okay!!

(Benji stops the boat at the dock.) You fellas can get out. Goobert, Rich, Delilah? You wanna meet me at the shore to help get the boat outta the water after ya'll get out?

Okey dokey. Will do, Benji! Aye! (I and Delilah and Rich say. I notice Rich carefully making sure that his gloves stay on.)

(Benji stops the boat and we start piling off.)

Boa tarde and welcome to Blissparce! (The Machamp greets us as we pile off.)

Fallo Ter (Night 21)

Yeah! Ma taught me how to tie really good knots... (Tronne says.)

(Tronne gets to work tying the Flareon's mouth shut.)

As Salty gets off, the Conkeldurr goes to try and get the dock and notices the hole.

"Vocês terem sorte. Esse buraco é bem grande."

Salty, getting mostly 'lucky' and 'big' out of what was said, gives a nervous chuckle in response.

*as the sisters cart off the boat, Tilly remarks to the Conkeldurr* É notável que chegamos em segurança. *...Beat, and then adds* Mother and I have come here often enough to justify learning Portuguese.

*Lilly looks at the town from a distance and says* I hope they're doin' okay...but if the dock's up 'n runnin' surely they're no worse for wear, right?

Fallo Ter Entrance (Sarah) [Night 21]

*Sarah's done tying up Cillian, next moving onto the Electabuzz...though she can't help but look over to Tronne and says* Hey, you're pretty good at those...don't forget to get the legs as well. *though for a moment she wonders if she's going overboard...this probably wouldn't fly with the Geneva Convention, but that doesn't exactly apply here*

*shrugging, she gets to tying the Electabuzz's legs first...their form being too awkward for a hogtie*

Oh, we're doing just fine, don't you worry! (The Machamp says.)

(Benji continues moving the boat towards the shore. Del, Lucy, June, and the cursed mons and I move toward the end of the dock. Delilah, Rich, and I veer off to meet Benji at the shore to get the Shifter out of the water.)

(Benji shifts into a Machamp form and prepares to lift it out.) Okay, fellas! Ya ready?

I think so... (I say, putting my hands and antennae around a corner. Delilah and Rich take other corners.)

Tiago, you want to help these guyos out? (The Machamp asks the Conkledurr as she also moves to lift the boat out.)

Fallo Ter (Night 21)

(Tronne nods and begins hogtying the Flareon's legs.) I'm soooo glad Ma taught me how to tie knots...

Tiago, the Conkeldurr, nods.

"Sim, eles precisam da ajuda."

And then he answers Tilly. "Claro, senhora."

He gets in and gets to a good point to lift the Shifter.

Salty looks at Tilly.

"Well, glad y'do, matey. I only know Spanish."

Fallo Ter Entrance (Sarah) [Night 21]

*as Sarah (and presumably Tronne) get to tying up the remainder of Cillian's group, Sarah can't help but say to Stellan* So however we do the shifts, the one thing I won't bend on is we mix our groups so at least one of each is awake at any time. Winnie...she'll do her thing. And Tronne's nice and all but needs guidance.

*she looks over to Sirus who's still snoozing away, and remarks* I'm sure he'll wake up sometime tonight...at least I hope he does, so he'll probably be third watch. I can take first or second...doesn't really matter to me.

"I'm cool with second watch." Hellbender adds in.

The Shifter

Ready? One, two, three, LIFT!

(When Benji says so, we lift the boat and begin to slowly, but surely move it out of the water and onto solid ground. I'm so glad that we have a Machamp, a Conkledurr, and a Pokémon who can be either one helping us or this would take forever...)

(After a bit, we set the boat down. I sit down and begin rubbing my antennae and arms, and Delilah takes some deep breaths. Rich adjusts his gloves.) Great job, fellas! (Benji tells us.)

All right! (The Machamp pumps her fists. Then she smirks at Benji and jokingly covers her eyes with two of her arms.) Now...take another form or something, I can't stop looking at you!

(Benji chuckles and shifts into default Swampert form.)

(The Machamp motions for the rest of our group to come toward us, along with the Cacturne who was with her and the Conkledurr Tiago as we were arriving.)

Wow, all of you guys are really strong! (June remarks. She briefly illusions the appearance of herself having a Machamp's build (and extra arms) for a few seconds before getting rid of it.)

(Man, I never really thought about how much stronger I am now until right then. If I were still my human self I probably would have never been able to help move that boat.)

Haha, well...that's fighting-types like us, for you. (The Machamp says.) Oh, my name's Noémia, by the by, but you can just call me Mia. Nice to meet you guys!

(Mia looks at the hole in the Shifter.) That is one heck of a hole in there...what happened out there? Or have you just been sailing with this for who knows how long?

Fallo Ter (Night 21)

(Cam is still hard at work when she hears the others talking about taking watches. She pauses and walks over to them. Winnie looks on indignantly at first.)

Hey, like, hate to sound like I'm complainin' or anythin', but do I have to keep doin' this all night? (She asks.) 'Cause if Winnie can just be me and blow at the door and Delara can take back over for her, then I'd like to be able to take a break and let Winnie start firin' at the door. My throat's startin' to hurt again...

The Shifter

It might not be accurate to say that a Tyranitar fell out of the sky... *Tilly says flatly to Mia* ...but what actually happened had a similar effect.

The Conkeldurr gestures to himself. "Meu nome é Tiago."^* My name's Tiago.

And then Mia asks her question and Tiago gives her a joking rebuff. "Ei, eu já perguntei isso, Mia!"^* Hey, I already asked that, Mia!

And then Tilly.

"...O que é isso sobre um Tyranitar?"^* What's that about a Tyranitar?

The Raticate takes note of the new arrivals and sighs a bit before answering, "Nah, we can handle this mess. And the reason we got these damages left a while ago, we're just recoverin' in the aftermath. Welcome to Holstown, by the way, sorry you came to see it in a not-so-good state."

The Pinsir approached and spoke up, "You see, we're not exactly in the best of situations thanks to a certain rich asshole over in Narcia next door, and a few of our townsfolk have been forced to go there for better jobs despite the terrible conditions. One of 'em was Hector, a Heracross. He and I go far back honestly."

The Pinsir, who upon closer inspection by the party will show to have some cuts and bruises, clears his throat and continues, "He and I inherited Mega Stones from our parents are had a duty to be village guardians from people like that scumbag Lickitung from Narcia, but of course Hector got all disillusioned with the world and thought only in pragmatics, he lost his sense of justice we both learned and idolized as kids from our parents and the stories they told. Ended up becoming one of that Lickitung's most notable men for thrashing people up and causing scenes when it would profit them. Of course, I solely had the responsibility to defend this village from him. I did a pretty good job at that until... Recently."

The Pinsir looked down shamefully. The Raticate picked up where he left off.

"Hector showed up today looking more smug than usual. He and Achilles...", the Raticate gestured to the Pinsir and continued, "Started up a fight, but Hector was just taking all the strong hits like a stone wall, he wasn't even flinching. 'Ol Achilles here was having a hard time keeping up with him just cause of that endurance and you'd think he was about to be offed, but... I guess we were grateful for Hector being a huge jerk for once, because he started laughing and gloated about how now Achilles was a non-issue for him and his boss, saying some crazy stuff about how his boss met with some witch or something that gave him and his men some weird power, and he left and said he'd be back to finish the job late tomorrow."

Achilles had one of his hands clenched tightly as he continued to gaze shamefully at the ground next to him.

Noriaki seems visibly intrigued as the "witch" is brought up.

Off to the side of the group, a Monferno seems to have wandered over. With a violin case slung over her shoulder and her dusty shirt, she looks to be a traveller.

"A twisted reunion.."

Holstown, present

"Achilles and Hector, huh? I wonder what else Homer left here?"

Mila remains quiet aside from this observation, just trying to take in the damages and understand what happened to this place. It's at times like these that she wishes she could be more helpful, but all she can think of to use her powers is for fighting. It's not like she can create electronics from thin air. Maybe Koss would have some ideas, since she'd learned a bit from the guild anyways. But singing would hardly be appropriate now of all times.

Main Group, Holstown

(So they don’t need help? I’ve kind of prided myself on helping people, it comes from my dad working on the F.D...I approach the Raticate.)

So you’re saying that the woman we’re likely looking for gave him the ability to do this? Where is she now?

(As I watch Marly and da Othas talk with dis guy I can’t help but notice a Monferno approach us.)

Heya, fella...who are yas?

Maybe check for a plate of Donuts, maybe it’s actually Homer Simpson you’re thinking of. Haha...ha...ha.

I continue surveying the scene, attempting to come up with some way to help...but they don’t exactly need help all the same. But oh, man, if she really gave him god mode...

So if he’s coming back tomorrow, as you say, are we going to need to stay here or try to find the woman who had given him those powers? Given how late in the afternoon we are we could use somewhere to set up for the night.

I also tap my Galladeite to let the Raticate and Pinsir know that I’ve got one, as well.

The door

Stellan helps tie up one of Cillian’s mooks. Once he’s done with this, he looks over toward the door.

No Cam, you’re not gonna need to do that all night...now excuse me?

He rushes the door and grabs Winnie, giving her a slight glare and a brief rant.

Now I want you to listen to me very, very carefully. I heard you talk about how this is your treasure. While I still lay claim to this treasure I’m choosing to let all of you have some of it, too. If I see any other funny business from you, it won’t end pretty for you, got it? Now keep working on that door.

The Cacturne convenes with the others. She chooses to speak in a language that everyone else can understand.

Díos Mio...a huge Pokémon really ripped a hole in this boat? We can try to do what we can to help you...

Whoops, heh heh, my bad, Tiago... (Mia chuckles to the Conkledurr glances over at the Tyranitar actually present.) Huh, I see, heh heh.

(Rich chuckles nervously.) Aye, it was my fault. (He says.) Ye probably won't believe me if I told ye how it happened...

I made the hole! (June jumps in, then pointing at Rich.) I was another one of him!

Matey, please! (Rich (futilely) shushes June. He looks back to Mia and the other two.) Eh...don't ask. It's a long story. Jest know that ye can't take off me gloves.

Whatever you say, "matey". (Mia laughs. She looks over as the Cacturne joins them.) But yeah, Tiff there is right! We'll fix your boat for you, and maybe even make it better than it was before! We've been repairing boats around here since our dad taught us how before he retired. Used to be the four of us, but our fourth sibling Izabel up and left a week or two ago. Hope she's doing okay wherever she is...

Wait a minute... (I look between the three wildly different looking Pokémon.) You are all siblings?

Yep! Heh heh, our dad's a Hariyama and our mom was a Ditto, so...heh heh, variety in off-spring, yeah. (Mia chuckles.) Izzy herself's an Alakazam.

(Winnie lets out a yelp of surprise when Stellan grabs her, and she listens to Stellan.) Okay, dear, okay! It's your treasure! I'm sorry! (She says. There's a very slight hint of annoyance in her voice.)

*Sarah raises an eyebrow as Stellan rushes Winnie so, remarking* We DO need her to get through at any reasonable rate...plus Cam's kinda suffering to be honest. *but then decides to reiterate to Stellan* So anyway...you and your crew probably should decide on shifts, y'know?

*Sammy would never preempt Stellan on this, so they're keeping quiet*

Tiago grins back at Mia. "Não há problema."^* No problem

Tiago hears Lilly's response and is a bit unsure. "...Acredito na sua palavra."^* ...I'll take your word for it.

Tiago smiles when the topic of family's brought up and tries putting his arms on his sisters' shoulders. "É um pouco complicado de explicar às vezes, sim, mas minha família é uma boa. Nós faremos um bom trabalho também."^* "It's a bit tough to explain sometimes, yeah, but my family's a good one. We'll do a good job, too."

"Heh, thank ye three. We'll be sure t'pay ye for it. Glad yer doin' well at a family business."

"Sim, mas estou preocupado com Izi também. Eu espero que ela não tenha encontrado o Ghoul."^* "Yeah, but I'm worried about Izzy too. I hope she didn't run into the Ghoul."

Haha, sim, we surprise a lot of mons when we tell them that we're all blood siblings! (Mia tells Lilly.) And rapazes, thanks! We're always glad to help folks out! (She adds, using two of her arms to pull Tiago and Tiff close upon seeing Tiago trying to do so. She also chuckles at the mention of "the Ghoul".) I'm sure Izzy's fine, Tiago. As long as she remembers to Teleport, she should get away from anything easily!

(Mia looks back at the damage in the boat.) Anyway, this boat repair is probably gonna set you guys back about 10000 Poké. Hopefully it shouldn't take too much time to fix, but hey! You guyos will get to hang out in our quiet little aldeia agrícola while we fix it. It's a nice place, and you got here just in time, too.

In time for what? (Lucy asks.)

Oh, we're unveiling a new monument in the center of the park, kiddo. (Mia says. She sighs, her boisterous tone falling slightly.) It's...uh...it's a monument to our two sister towns Milklett and Hiveton. They're gone now, because...ah...have you guys heard of a thing called the Doença Da Raiva? Aka...the Viral Aggression?

We have, yes. (Delilah says.)

Yeah...it got those two towns...far as I can tell there weren't any survivors. (Mia sighs.) Thank goodness none of our own folks were in either town when it happened, though, but I know people who did. Was a dark day in town when we all found out. At least our town's avoided it so far, though, but still...Coisa tão terrível de acontecer...

(She pauses for a bit before bringing the subject back to repairing the Shifter.) Anyway! Who's gonna be paying for the repairs?

(Benji is about to pay, but Rich jumps ahead with the full amount.) Since I was responsible fer it, I should be th' one who pays fer it. (He says.)

I mean...bzz, we could have all chipped in... (Maran points out, holding up 2500 Poké of his own.)

(But Rich is already giving the money to Tiff.)

You really think so? I mean, it’s not hard to infer what we might be dealing with based on the evidence we’ve already compiled from what Nori told us...

I sarcastically remark to Hudson. Nevertheless, Marsha, Kevin, and I, three in all, wait for the Raticate or Monferno. Kevin takes particular interest in showing the missing poster to the Raticate.

The door, Fallo Ter

Stellan relaxes his grip on Winnie and lets her go.

Right...my apologies for suddenly grabbing you that hard.

Okay...Cam, Winnie, you two will take 30 minute shifts through the rest of tonight to burn that door open. Do it however you see fit. Myself, Delara, Sammy, and anyone else..we’ll take shifts in groups of two the rest of tonight, three hour sleep shifts, to keep watch on these assholes to make sure they don’t do anything.

Tiff chuckles as her sister brings her and their brother into a close group hug. Nonetheless, she also takes the shares of the Poké balance and pockets it in her bag.

Salty notes that Rich is willing to pay and would be willing to chip in but he insists, so... He is a bit surprised at Tiff speaking Spanish, but guess this might mean they can be understood better...

He then switches back to Portuguese. "Tiff e pai falam em espanhol o melhor."^* "Tiff and dad speak Spanish the best."

The Monferno is interrupted by a very familiar (to some of the group, at least) sounding voice. A certain Alolan Vulpix comes trotting over, bag slung over her back.

"Where'd you go? I thought we were going to meet over..."

She trails off as she notices the group gathered around.

"... Oh. Uh. Heeey guys!"

( Dana? I thought I was told that she went far away from here.) Oh, erm, hello, Dana! ( I greet her.) What are you doing here?

Blissparce (Docks)

Will do, Tiff! (Mia says, turning to us.) Tiago and I are gonna lead you guys into town while Tiff keeps an eye on things here. You guys game?

Well, I reckon. (I say.)

We need stuff to eat, anyway! (Cortez says.)

Hey, you're in luck. We've got a great cafe in town. (Mia says.) "Pappa's Place"...you'll love it!

As long as they have food and don't give me a kids meal... (Cortez says.)

(We begin to follow Mia and Tiago down the path towards town. I look around the tree-lined path and then at the rest of us. Everyone looks tired, and I notice that Lucy seems fascinated by our Machamp guide.)

Wow, you're really big... (She says.)

Uh, Lucy, heh, you kinda don't just tell people that they're big... (Benji chuckles.)

Hey, she's fine. (Mia laughs.) If I were her I'd probably say that that Machamp I'm walking with was huge, too...

(June is in the back with Liesl.) Isn't it so trippy, Lizzy? Goin' months without seein' each other and now we're travellin' places together?

Absolutely! (Liesl says.)

Hey, goin' to the cafe will probably give us more time to talk and catch up, huh? (June adds.) And maybe we could have a girl's night out on the town or somethin' later like we all used to do back in Foxfell.

We could do that, yes... (Liesl says. She seems to be starting to get a little weary of her cousin chattering to her, given that she's been doing this off and on for the past several hours since we left Foxfell this morning.)

Fallo Ter (Night 21)

Okay! (Cam says. She immediately stops breathing fire, grabs Winnie, and tries to mold Winnie's appearance into that of her double (but only succeeds in squishing Winnie's face around without doing anything).) You go first, I'm done and my throat is killing me.

I can transform myself, Cam, dear! My goodness...! (Winnie says, smacking Cam's claws away and backing away from Cam.)

(Cam feels silly for doing that to Winnie.) Uh...sorry...

(Winnie doesn't respond to Cam. She shifts into a double of Cam and prepares to get to work on the door.)

(Cam waves at Delara.) Delara, like, you mind getting back to helpin' Winnie?
