"Ehhhhhh, I'd...put a rain check on that one." [I'm just hoping something like that would be temporary...but I'd rather her try something that wouldn't last more than a second, if we ever do get to that point.]

"Well, ya did anything else? Met any new friends, any cool experiences with the others?"

Uhh...how about...uh...Salty?! (June suggests.)

Oh, we had a lot of fun! (Lucy says.) I found these Orb thingies and I was a huge bug guy for a little while! They told me I was a...Gollypod or somethin'. Miss Dinah was a Bergmite. It was fun! I was so big 'n strong! And I became friends with this cool Hawlucha guy at the hospital! His name was Grapa, and we wrestled a bit while I waited for Miss Renata and he waited for his little sister Dora! He was cool! And we hung out at the beach a lot when we weren't at the hospital!

The others are talking a lot. Is there someone here? Did I know them? "Ms. Dana?" I mumble. I'm riding on her back, so I don't see any reason to talk that loud. "Who's there? Is it someone we know?"

*waking from her Zangoose-induced stupor, Lilly notices Lucy is back and disembarks from the cart to greet her with a dirt hug. Meanwhile, Tilly is cringing from Lucy's mention of the casual use of orbs...the more she learns from others, the more negative her opinions of the wonder orbs have become*

*but back in happy lala land, after giving Lucy a hug, Lilly states* Ohhhh it's so great t'see ya again! Yer lucky y'missed out on our last stop — tarnation's the only word I've got t'describe that kingdom...

*she then digs into one of her bags and pulls out necklace with a faux Max Revive design◊, and says* I was kinda distracted shoppin' and got this, then realized I can't really wear it... *she says with a sheepish grin, adding* ...the lady said it's an "ancient good luck charm", thought y'might like it... *she offers the inert trinket to Lucy*

"Heh, yeah, I'd be cool with that. Maybe short for Saltspray."

"Or... Hm... Full name: Mick Saltspray, or just Salty."

"How's that fer a name?"

"That isn't a bad name."

Marlon > June

(After spacing out for the last bit I look back, confused, as to what June just did:)

How good have you gotten with those illusions?

Ooh! I like that name! Sounds great! (June says, grinning at Dieter.)

(Hearing Marlon, she turns to him.) Oh, I've gotten really good! Not t' brag or anythin' but I think I've gotten even better than I was when I met all a' ya at the carnival! I can make stuff invisible and make people look like other people or invisible an' everythin'!

(June turns to me and prepares to snap her claws again.) Oh no, not again... (I say, nervously laughing.)

(Instantly, I am suddenly Darnell again. This time I have his walking stick, though.)

Oh great... (I say.)

Heya, Grandpa! (June says to me, giggling.)

You all right, Goobert? (Delilah asks me.)

Well, yeah, at least I have a walking stick this time.

Try shakin' his hand right now, Marlon! (June says.) It should feel like Grandpa's

LILLY!! (Lucy squeals, returning the diet hug.) It really sounded like a tarnation from what Goobert and the others told me!

(Her face lights up when Lilly gives her the charm.) Ooh! Thank you, Lilly! It's so pretty! (Lucy immediately puts the necklace on.)

(I extend my arm out to shake hands with Darnell(?), but I don't complete the exchange before saying:)

You aren't going to just pull me into another illusion? Heh..

Nah, I wasn't gonna turn ya into July or August or anythin'. (June reassures Marlon.) I really mean that! Go ahead!

(I shrug and put my free hand out for Marlon to shake.)

My hand is indistinguishable from Darnell's though there is just the slightest bit of Goodra slime dripping from it.

(I reach my hand out and meet Darnell(?)'s, and shake it.)

(I shake Marlon's hand back, with Marlon experiencing no adverse effects. It really does feel like I'm Darnell meeting up with Marlon again. I can't resist pretending for a moment that I really am Darnell.)

It's a pleasure to see you again, Marlon. (I say, trying to sound as much like Darnell as I can (and while also trying to keep a straight face.) See you've met my grandaughter June again already.

(June doubles over in laughter.) Oh my gosh, Goobert!

(Delilah can't help but laugh, as well.) Getting a little into it, aren't you, Goobert?

Heh, yeah, I guess I am! (I say. Then I turn to June.) Hey, uh, can I be Goobert again, now?

(Still snickering, June snaps her claw, and the illusion falls away, revealing me as my normal self. (Well, as a Goodra anyway.))

Well, that was exciting. (I remark, stretching a bit.)

I'll say. For a second it was almost like you were really him! (Delilah remarks.)

Only thing that woulda made it better would be if Grandpa himself had shown up right then! (June says, still giggling.)

*quickly losing her inhibitions (because of course), Sarah can't help chuckle at that statement* "Discount" ninja, huh? Well I sure couldn't afford a full price one...ha! *she pulls the wallet out of her duffel pack, opens it, and then mimes (with her claw) a fly spinning out of it...in actuality she has about 1200 Poké left, after offscreen paying for her drink* Uuuugh, I need moneeeey.... *she laments, then takes another puff of the joint*

I heard all 'bout yer adventures from the letters...turnin' into stuff, trainin'...sounds like a blast! *Lilly says, then quickly tries to brush aside the uncomfortable subject of what she herself has been doing* Things were mostly borin' here, 'cept the whole pirates and all... *and the compulsive shopping to bury her fears*

( I shake my head.) That was weird...

Yeah! (Lucy says to Lilly.) I can copy a jillion moves and bein' a Gollypod was almost as fun as bein' a Lapras! I had an awesome time!

(Without skipping a breath, Lucy adds:) You saw pirates? COOL!
