5.5 - The idea of isolation and inability to connect and engage with your immediate social surroundings can be a compelling topic but the nursery esque rhyme scheme and near beige prose robs this of much of its impact.
7. Looks like mythology. Never thought Heavy Mithril was that old.
Growing up, it's like a civil war, don't turn away, it's something you can't ignore...The lyrics seem to be hinting at something, though I can't put my finger on what, 1.5.

Growing up, it's like a civil war, don't turn away, it's something you can't ignore...3: No angst, is just a joking song about being a badass. The use of "whore" could arguably drive it up a bit higher.
8 - Goes from mournful and miserable to a kind of understated intimidation; a virulent contempt directed mostly at oneself.
Exlimitir - They're Building an Infinite Tower to His Finite Glory
About a 5. Hard to decipher, but seem to talk about...people being forced to build around a penis?
I don't know. I have to put it at a 5. Sorry if this wasn't a good analysis.

Siouxsie and the Banshees - Cities in Dust
Spiral out, keep going.7 - A song about people dying in a volcanic eruption after failing to flee. The song's mostly clean and not terribly detailed. I was thinking of giving it a 6 until I saw these lines:
"Hot and burning in your nostrils
Pouring down your gaping mouth
Your molten bodies, blanket of cinders"
They push it up a notch.

I'm barely there, I'm everywhere6.5 - Politically poignant and I guess what people call "woke" these days but the impact of its lyricism in spite of its sometimes starkly chilling contrasts and clever wit is somewhat disjointed in how it ties a lot of this together and that unfortunately makes it feel less powerful than it should be, insightful as it still is.
9.
Very graphic when it comes to Gore.
Mindless Self Indulgence - Never Wanted To Dance
Catch me on The Zenith - Denzel CurryF-bomb and b-bombs aside, pretty mild lyrics fitting for a parody song (didn't actually listen to it), 3.
Nick Cave & the Bad Seeds - There She Goes, My Beautiful World!
Spiral out, keep going.7.5 - True art is suffering or some other silly phrase, but captured quite poignantly in lyrics that succinctly capture the less savoury parts of some of our greatest thinkers and writers juxtaposed with the beautiful and the sublime.
An 8 or 9. There's some pretty dark stuff here.
