The Spirit is here: https://store.steampowered.com/app/925750/Dead_by_Daylight__Shattered_Bloodline/
I'm really enjoying her so far.
EDIT: Aaaaand I'm back to not being able to get my mic to work. It must be something computer-side, because it's a brand new microphone. I had this problem when I first got it too, but I fixed it after the first hour or so. This time I just can't get it to work. The computer recognizes when it's plugged in and acts like it's working, and yet no audio will come through.
EDIT 2: Another nice match.

Sorry to double post, but you have to check out this one in particular.
Versus a streamer, so you get both perspectives. 4 kills with only 1 gen done. Two were Devour Hope kills.

I haven't done much with Dead by Daylight in a while, but thought I'd bump this thread up so that anyone interested in playing it could know that not only is it on sale for this next week, it's also free to play for this period, on Steam and PS 4 (presumably XBOX One, too but I didn't see anything about it specifically)
I've been neglecting this game. I haven't even played a round as the Spirit yet.
Any thoughts on what kind of killer this is? Not ringing any bells archetype-wise.

The killer's reflections in the mirror don't all look the same. This suggests to me that the killer has different modes or something like that.
Archetype-wise? This is another masked slasher style character. Little more than that can be said with the current information.
New killer The Legion is now available for testing in the PTB. Details available here.
Trying to get back into playing this game a bit so I played a couple survivor matches. I forgot how nerve-wracking this game can be when you're playing Survivor. Anywho two matches, Huntress in the Preschool stage and the Shape in the Game stage. Both ended with a final survivor managing a Hatch escape. In the second case that survivor was me.
At the end of it, the Killer was saying "stop struggling I was taking you to the hatch"
Me: I'm a do it yourselfer.
How many times did you struggle out before you went through the hatch?
Twice.
Side note just wrapped up some games utilizing the DBD Discord's looking for group channel. Had a few fun games with folks I met there, and even had my first run-in with the Legion. Wasn't too terrible compared to other killers I've faced. Our last game one of us had the offering for the Game stage. I used Laurie and the Object of Obsession perk for that one which was handy on keeping track of the Killer was up or downstairs.
I haven't been streaming but I have been playing more and I definitely feel like I upped my Survivor game considerably. I was able to run rings around a(n admittedly laggy) Hillbilly. But also, before that, I was playing against the Trapper on Yamaoka Estate.
I was able to do my part in some generators, even getting the last one more or less single handed. Upon completing that last gen I was also right next to an Exit Gate I was able to open. However close by a Survivor got hooked. I was about to go for them but either I got nervous in proximity to the Killer or they actively started chasing me. Either way I booked it out of there and out the Gate. I look at my score and all, then I go to spectate and two Survivors are down and one's in a bear trap, all close together. The bear trapped survivor got away and was able to help the others up and out the gate I opened. One might have just crawled out, I'm not sure. Regardless the game ended on a all-four Survival. My own contribution to the after match chat: "I'm now less guilty I escaped first"
I think part of that improvement was helped by watching videos by No0b3. He calls himself "Toxic" in his videos, but he's pretty good at engaging the killers and using the Flashlight.

A little bump for an interesting idea I saw on the DBD Fridge page. It suggests that much like how the Hillbilly was an expy of Leatherface before they could use him properly, the Legion is an expy of Ghostface of the Scream series, who was a Collective Identity for multiple people.
I feel like I'm getting stronger as a Survivor. Lately been playing a lot of Survivor to farm bloodpoints and, barring certain killers or running smack into them in the first ten seconds, I've been doing pretty well. I've even got a pretty solid set of perks that have served me well so far.
I'm using We're Gonna Live Forever (to farm BP) note , Spine Chill (though admittedly I'm not good at always remembering to watch the thing...) note , Dark Sense (to track the Killer as Gens pop)note , and Lightweight (only have Tier 1 version of it, though I think it's saved my neck a little) note
I've leveled up David King to the point We're Gonna Live Forever is teachable. Doing the same for Claudette to get Self-Care and will probably do the Cannibal to get Barbecue & Chili to farm BP Killer side.

This week's Shrine of Secrets
is great in terms of survivor perks. Self-Care is, of course, the must-have perk for most survivor builds, and Urban Evasion is my personal favorite survivor perk. These two are both in most of my survivor builds.
The killer perks are meh overall. Coulrophobia is good for very specialized builds in conjunction with other perks, but easily the worst of the Clown's three teachables. Play With Your Food is just bad, and also easily the worst of Michael Myers' three teachables. (Michael's best by far is Save the Best for Last).
