The friend playign the killer that time doesn't stream but I might do that with the one who does
So bad news, I did a bit more testing with the Object of Obsession perk and it is based on camera, not physically looking. It seemed like it wasn't at first, but now I wonder if that's just because the person playing killer at the time was still too new. In this session I tried two games, one with me as survivor, and one with me as killer. As killer we tested it with a friend using OOO and it went based on camera angle.
Sadly my attempt to record this ran into the streaming equivalent of leaving the lens cap on (the screen was all black) so no go on evidence from my end. My friend however: https://www.twitch.tv/videos/297401698?t=01h21m30s
My first game (as survivor) from the POV of my other friend as survivor.

Ah, ok. Honestly that's for the best. The perk would've been too powerful otherwise. Seeing the killer's aura without the killer seeing you is what pairing OoO with Sole Survivor is for, not OoO alone.
Granted, you still made me tempted to try it out. The only perk I'd never run on principle is Decisive Strike (although that could change when/if they nerf it).

The Fall Chapter is pretty far away, so I gave in and dumped my 1 mil into Hag. I didn't get the exact perk build I wanted, but I got a nice one.
How many Bloodweb levels did 1,000,000 Bloodpoints get you?
Hrm, well I started with 40-something and got to some number of levels above 50. After 50, every bloodweb level is 50. But you still have a lot of perks left to collect at that point.
If you want an idea on how much 1 mil will get you from scratch, I did a video on it with Freddy back when he first came out. You'll notice that after the first mil, I have him to level 33. The extra 200k from the Shrine of Secrets brings him to level 37.

New Chapter teaser ie. a hint about the new killer.
Doesn't show much. Always an exciting time for DbD! I will have to make some time to restock that 1 mil BP. It's always nice to have perks on the new killer on day 1.

Thanks for joining in our games, Bedlam. Hope you had fun.
Here's the video.
I had a little bit of commentary, but the page crashed and I don't want to retype what I wrote.
I like how you did the dual-viewpoint in the streams. How do you do that?
I edit my videos in Movavi Video Editor, which allows you to overlay recordings. To sync the videos, I usually pick a moment that has to take place at the same time in both videos and adjust them until they're concurrent (eg. the first survivor hit, the first gen completed).
I also have a playlist for any videos with synced gameplay/combined recordings.
What looks like a new killer teaser and, if so, we're getting something Japan themed:
The Oni? The Yokai? The Samurai?

Is it weird that the one game I survived today is the one where I hardly did a damn thing but heal one person?
Since I kited the killer for about 80 seconds without taking a hit, I don't think it's that weird. In that time, you were rescued from your second hook, healed, and two generators were completed. Time is everything in this game, and momentum is everything to a killer.
That was approximately 80 seconds during which the killer gained nothing, and the survivors gained several things. It takes a lot for a killer to recover from a setback like that.
The killer seems pretty new too, because he had a lot of opportunities to hit me and kept missing. I think I confused him. (As a general rule, I'm better at killer than I am at survivor).
Incidentally, you healing me saved time I would have spent on a slower heal with Self-Care. This increased the likelihood that I could save your friend.
Anyway, the sound you two commented on was me destroying a Hex totem. (In this case, Devour Hope). I pointed this out in an earlier post too.
Lastly, here's the new video. Fun match!
EDIT: Ew, I didn't know Pig had these bugs. A good thing to learn.

The PTB has begun.
So a spirit kind of like Ju On?
Her power sounds like something between the Nurse and the Wraith.
Edited by sgamer82 on Aug 28th 2018 at 11:55:08 AM
Nothing Wraith about her imo, but she does feel like a counterpart to the Nurse. She definitely has a learning curve. It took me have an hour to get a match as killer in the PTB.
Tru3ta1ent is playing as her right now.
EDIT: On of her Deviousness point gains is called "Grudge." Also Tru3 switched to survivor after I posted that link.

Wraith in the sense that it sounds like you move while invisible while using her power
Yeah but... Wraith isn't invisible, and you can't hear him coming. His cloaked form is very easy to spot unless he stands still. The Spirit becomes invisible, but you can hear her. A closer analogue would be Freddy, technically. Besides the Nurse.
EDIT: Granted, you can still hear Wraith's feet I think. But no radius.

Either way you can see why I thought of the Wraith.
My first (and so far only) game as her is up. I did sort of meh with her ability, but ultimately netted two kills. I used two of her new perks, and both came in handy. She definitely has a learning curve.
EDIT: Tru3ta1ent is getting really good with her now.
EDIT2: His stream just ended. He'll have highlights from today's stream here later.

Downloaded the PTB. Sent the directions to my friends too. Maybe we can make a day of taking turns playing the Spirit.
Question: do blood points warmed in PTB carry over to the main game or vice versa?
No. Nothing you do in the PTB should effect your main game.
I've played a few survivor games (much easier to find a match) and I'm really enjoying the new perk Diversion. I think I'll swap it with Windows of Opportunity on my Nea. I think all of Adam's perks are good.
In fact, I like all the new killer's perks too. At least in conjunction with certain other perks they have synergy with. This is a very good Chapter.

Changes to the Spirit from the version of her we have in the PTB. Good changes, some of which I'd argue are necessary.
Also, her voice sounds clearly aren't final. When she gets stunned, she sounds like the Nurse. And when she moris someone it looks like she's supposed to be screaming, but she's not. Very excited for this to come to the main game.
EDIT: Hope you see this because I want to avoid a triple post, but I just got a new mic! Seems to be working very well for me so far. As of this writing, I only just got it set up a few minutes ago.
EDIT2: I made a second video of the spirit. I think it's much better than the previous one. Watching a lot of Spirit gameplay on Tru3ta1ent's stream paid off.
