I vote to send this trope to the Trope Launch Pad and make it more tropeworthy.
Looking it over, it seems that the vast majority of examples on the page fall evenly into 1 of 3 categories:
- Dance outfits that would be a potential hazard to the dancer (i.e. Correct Usage),
- Magical Girls wear uniforms that could be used in a ballet but for the accouterments, whether the MG are dancers or not,
- Dance outfits that actually are proper (i.e. Aversions).
I could see transferring the examples in the first two categories to Impractically Fancy Outfit and cutting the Trope...
... except that the description for IFO focuses on the impracticality of the costume being too fragile for normal wear, not that the costume is a potential hazard for the wearer when used for its intended purpose.
So I think that IFO's description should be broadened up a bit to account for this group of examples. Then transfer and cut.

Ketchum's corollary to Clarke's Third Law: Any sufficiently advanced tactic is indistinguishable from blind luck. There already are examples of "dangerous clothing / costume design" on Impractically Fancy Outfit. This trope seems redundant with that. If the concepts of "dangerously designed outfit" and "impractically designed outfit" are saliently different, I think someone could make a TLP draft for the dangerously designed outfit idea, but until then I think it's adequately covered by IFO. I think we could move the appropriate examples to IFO and cut this trope.
Look at all that shiny stuff ain't they prettyOption 2 is already covered by Frills of Justice and possibly Frilly Upgrade since every Mid-Season Upgrade their costumes become more and more ornate.

Would anyone agree if we sent this back to the Trope Launch Pad?
Cut, any valid tutu-related tropes should be made in TLP.
Join the Five-Man Band cleanup project! With 333 inbounds, it would be good to find a plausible redirect target. Possibly Dresses, Gowns and Skirts or Rule of Glamorous?
Otherwise, yeah, I'm not seeing anything worth salvaging here.
Speaking words of fandom: let it squee, let it squee. If anything as written it probably should be directed to Frills of Justice.
1+ to merge Tutu Fancy into Frills of Justice.
Frills of Justice seems much too narrow. I generally prefer to redirect to a broader category in cases like this, to make sure we're being inclusive, and to minimize confusion.
But that's merely a preference. And not a strong one. So...whatever?
Speaking words of fandom: let it squee, let it squee.Extending clock.
"For a successful technology, reality must take precedence over public relations, for Nature cannot be fooled." - Richard FeynmanYeah disagree on merging into Frills of Justice, that’s specifically about Magical Girl outfits and their stereotypes.
Having elements of a tutu is just something that occasionally appears to varying degrees.

Cut, redirect to Dresses, Gowns and Skirts if we must.
"It's just a show; I should really just relax"Any more votes to cut?

'Tutu's are a gay stereotype' might be a trope in of itself but it certainly isnt this one.
