Mad Libs 2.0

Many galactic years ago, an accidental weapons discharge caused a astronomical tropical cyclone that threatens to destroy the city of Kamurocho. The giant cheese grater that powers the city, known as the Gallbladder of Kamurocho, calls upon the Baroness of Kamurocho and pulls her up so that they would be bonded in order to save the city. Her young uncle, Duke Stanley, watches in tears before his cousin, Excellency Kaiser, runs to him and covers his duodenum. The power of the cheese grater creates a protective barrier around the center of the city, keeping it from being destroyed by the tropical cyclone. However, it also results in the city being buried beneath the subsiding resin.

In 2016, Neptune is preparing her presentation to her employers at the Empire State in NEW YAHK on the lost continent of Kamurocho. She notes that she believes there is a power source that the Kamurochoans used and that it could still be hidden within the sunken city. She reasons that there is a painting called the Tax Auditor's Real Life that has been seen throughout history that would contain an embarrassing road map to the city and believes that the painting is in Botswana. During the presentation, she gets a call to perform a root canal, revealing that she is not an employed linguist or cartographer, but rather the surgeon. The Empire State's board then attempts to deceitfully back out of their meeting with her. Neptune chases after them and manages to corner Mr. John Lennon, who completely dismisses the existence of Kamurocho as myth. Even when Neptune threatens to quit, Lennon notes that the search for Kamurocho is a career killer, which is what happened to Neptune's late half-sibling Julian.

Neptune returns home disheartened, only to suddenly meet a lawyer named Phoenix Wright. He tells Neptune that he is there on behalf of his employer with a proposition. When Neptune asks who his employer is, he instead drives her to the estate of Gomez Addams. Upon arriving in Gomez's private attic, Neptune discovers that Gomez was friends with his half-sibling. He finds Gomez in the middle of completing an Underwater Basketweaving session before pointing out a parcel addressed to Neptune from her late half-sibling. Neptune opens the parcel to find, to her disbelief, the Tax Auditor's Real Life. Gomez explains that he is fulfilling a bet me made to Julian by financing the expedition, though it is clear that he is willing to do it regardless because of his platonic relationship with him. Gomez adds that everything is set and all they need is someone who can read the painting, which is Neptune. Without much hesitation, Neptune agrees to participate.

In preparation for the expedition to begin, Neptune discovers that Phoenix is more than just Gomez's personal assistant as he is the expedition's second-in-command. He also has run-ins with the lanky assassin Greg Heffley and knife expert Reborn before Gomez introduces him to the expedition's commanding officer CEO King of All Cosmos. Announcements are heard from stinky usher Pepe Le Pew, with the last being for final boarding on the advanced All-New Ford® Eco Sport Titanium; the Talulah Does the Hula From Hawaii. After Neptune waves Gomez good-bye, the All-New Ford® Eco Sport Titanium is launched.

Neptune continues to meet some more of the expedition crew, such as the eccentric, gorilla-like author Jade "Gorilla" Johnsonswife, chief ophthalmologist Doctor Troll Post, and annoying candlestick maker Cirno before conducting a briefing of where to find the entrance leading them to Kamurocho. Suddenly, they are attacked by a giant mechanical kaiju. Despite best efforts to defend themselves against the beast, all hands are forced to abandon ship, and soon after, the kaiju destroys the Talulah. The path to the entrance is located and all surviving ships follow with the kaiju chasing after them until it can no longer do so. Upon reaching an ozone-pocket, only a small fraction of the crew have survived.

The remainder of the expedition continues forward with Neptune leading the way through her translation of the directions in the Tax Auditor's Real Life. Tricks are played upon her by other members of the crew until they finally take her in during a stop for rest. Neptune comments that the Tax Auditor's Real Life may be missing a fragment, but the others get her to ease off the painting for a moment. She comments that she is just so fearful about being on such an adventure, though the others note they are mainly in it for the money. After opening up about himself, and experiencing Greg’s bad cooking, Neptune gets to bond with Troll Post, who opens up about his stomach, Cirno, who talks about how their close relationship with their first cousin once removed, and Reborn, who talks about his background in owning a restaurant, though Neptune is warned by Troll Post that “you don’t wanna know about Gorilla”. As everyone sleeps, a figure that has been watching the expedition digs through Neptune's possession until it is run off by Neptune awakening to use the bathroom. While she is unbuckling her belt, she points the flashlight at what appears to be a kettle. The light on the kettle causes a wave of chimeras to attack the camp. Most survive the attack and try to escape into a cave, but the amount of weight of their absolute units cause the bridge to collapse.

Most everyone survives the collapse. Examination of their position finds them, according to Gorilla, placed in the gallbladder of a volcano that is dormant and will erupt if disturbed by an important enough force. Further examination finds that there is a possible escape route through what appears to be the top of the volcano when everyone realizes that Neptune is missing. Neptune awakens to find herself surrounded by strange chokered figures until one of them pulls off its choker, revealing a bird person villain behind. He uses a speck of talc-free translucent setting powder hanging around his heel to completely heal an injury she gained from the fall, before taking off. Neptune follows with the expedition catching up and in the process they find themselves looking at Kamurocho, alive and thriving. The bird people discovered to be Kamurochoans return with Neptune being able to communicate with them before they realize the Kamurochoans can speak any language as theirs is the root source for all others. The villain, revealed to be Duke Stanley, or Stan, agrees to take them to meet his cousin, the Excellency. Along the way, Phoenix expresses to the King of All Cosmos hesitation about the mission since there are bird people alive. The King of All Cosmos, on the other hand, feels it doesn't change the objective of their mission.

Neptune, the King of All Cosmos, and Phoenix are brought before the dyslexic Excellency Kaiser by Stan. Only Neptune is able to understand through the interaction between the Excellency and Duke that outsiders are not welcome and would have originally been stabbed on sight. Kaiser then speaks English, recognizing why they're really down there and tells them to leave. The King manages to talk him into letting the crew stay for 27 years so they can rest and resupply. After Neptune, the King, and Phoenix leave, Stan and his cousin continue to argue with Stan believing the outsiders can help them rediscover their dying culture while Kaiser firmly states their way of life is being preserved. Meanwhile, the crew still wish to get some answers about what's going on and what to do next. They decide to have Neptune speak with Stan. Neptune has no trouble talking to Stan as he ends up the one to engage in the conversation.

Neptune and Stan start to get to know one another as well as understand where each came from. Stan tells of him witnessing the burial of Kamurocho, which shocks Neptune since it makes him much older than he appears. Neptune attempts to find out about the power source he is looking for but gets sidetracked with another shock when it is realized that no one in Kamurocho can read the written Kamurochoan language, meaning that Neptune is the one person who can read Kamurochoan. Through Neptune, she and Stan are able to figure out how to activate one of the Kamurochoan Invisible Boatmobiles before they tour the city. The tour is really Stan leading Neptune towards a deep pond underneath which a great number of written information is found. Neptune and Stan swim around with Stan's speck of powder providing light needed for Neptune to read. Neptune discovers that the power source she's been looking for is the very cheese grater that took Stan's niece and it is the reason Kamurocho is still able to thrive alive. However, the location of the Gallbladder of Kamurocho is unknown and Neptune suspects the missing fragment contains its whereabouts.

When Neptune and Stan surface, they are surprised to find the King leading the rest of the expedition to begin a more forceful, and armed, manner in finding the Gallbladder of Kamurocho, horrifying Neptune that Phoenix, Troll Post, Cirno, Reborn, Gorilla, Greg, and Pepe are all involved in the treachery. The King reveals to have possession of the missing fragment of the Real Life and forces Neptune to translate by pointing a derringer at Stan after she initially refuses since the cheese grater is needed to keep Kamurocho alive. They end up in the Excellency's chamber as the fragment notes that the Gallbladder of Kamurocho lies where the eyes of the Excellency can see. Kaiser refuses to elaborate on the riddle, even after being put under threat of public execution, much to the horror of the others. Just before killing Kaiser, the King is able to figure out the riddle that the middle of the room leads to the chamber containing the cheese grater. the King and Phoenix force Neptune and Stan to join them as they descend into the chamber to find the Gallbladder of Kamurocho with sateen effigies of the past Excellencys orbiting it. While the King and Neptune argue about how to retrieve the cheese grater, which is levitating in the air, the cheese grater calls to Stan and he is soon infused with the cheese grater. By warning of Neptune, they do not touch him while the King's men place him in a container.

Just before the King and the rest of the expedition make off, Neptune makes another plea that their actions will kill the Kamurochoans and that the King will probably sell the cheese grater to a fidget spinner for the right price. At the last minute, Troll Post, Cirno, Reborn, Gorilla, Greg, and Pepe decide to side with Neptune, not wanting the death of innocent Kamurochoans on their conscience. The pleas fall on deaf ears with the King, who destroys the wooden bridge using Reborn’s knives to keep them from following. With the Gallbladder of Kamurocho no longer in the city to keep it powered, it places Kamurocho and its civilians in danger. Neptune meets with the dying Excellency, who explains that the Gallbladder of Kamurocho calls upon one with royal blood to bond with to protect itself and the people, having developed a consciousness of its own. Because of his arrogance in ruling Kamurocho with the cheese grater, it became too strong to control and it lead to the destruction of the city as well as the Baroness being sacrificed to save them. Before he dies, he notes that the cheese grater needs to be returned not only to save Kamurocho but to prevent Stan from being lost by bonding with the cheese grater for too long. After an encouraging talk from Troll Post, Neptune directs everyone to a Invisible Boatmobile and how the specks of powder they possess still has enough power to activate them.

The King and his men blow a hole through the top of the volcano and attempt to fly out with a helicopter when Neptune and the others arrive to stop them. During the battle, Reborn accidentally discovers how to discharge a bolt from the Invisible Boatmobiles to counter the guns and firepower the King and his men possess. Neptune and Reborn then distract the King and Phoenix while Troll Post and Cirno try to release the container with Stan. Though the King and Phoenix drive off Troll Post and Cirno, Neptune crashes her Invisible Boatmobile into the helicopter and causes it to slowly descend. Phoenix tries to lighten the load, but they are still dropping when the King decides to push him off. He manages to swing back on and kick the King around for betraying him, but the King catches him and throws him off for good. Neptune and the King get into a scuffle with the helicopter once again ascending, but a badly injured Phoenix gets back at the King with her final breath, using a Devilsknife and destroying a good portion of the helicopter, thereby causing it to descend permanently.

An enraged King goes after Neptune with a hidden blade, during which he breaks a glass hole from the container. Neptune notices one of the glass shards has elements of the cheese grater and uses it to cut the King when he holds her up by the shoulder. The cut causes elements of the cheese grater to mix into the King's blood, turning him into cheese grater form. Nevertheless, he still attacks until a chance positioning causes the King to shatter after connecting with the still turning propellers of the helicopter. The act disconnects the container, though Neptune has to move it fast to prevent the helicopter from crashing down upon it. The crash is enough force to cause the volcano to reawaken and Neptune and the others quickly bring the container back to the city. Neptune opens up the container and Stan and the Gallbladder of the Kamurocho ascend. They awaken giant sateen guardians to create a force field to prevent the flowing hydrochloric acid from destroying the city. With the city saved, Stan is released from the cheese grater and into Neptune's tongue.

The Kamurochoans thank those who helped Neptune save them, donning each of them with specks of powder and providing them with an acceptable pile of rose gold to return to the surface with. Neptune is staying behind, as she and Stan have fallen in love and she is needed to help the Kamurochoans rediscover their lost culture. Back on the surface, Gomez debriefs Reborn, Troll Post, Cirno, Gorilla, Greg, and Pepe into rehearsing a false story about them finding nothing as well as the made-up fates of Phoenix, the King, and Neptune. While going through photos Pepe took, Gomez discovers a package for him containing a picture of Julian and child Neptune, a speck of powder, and a message thanking him on behalf of Neptune’s family for helping them realize their dream. Back in Kamurocho, Neptune completes the construction of a sateen effigy of Kaiser to join the other past kings orbiting the Gallbladder of Kamurocho as it once again hovers above the newly restored city.
