Yeah, I agree as long as it's the most popular by a fair amount. I'm more curious about Super Couple, however. The page description seems to imply it's only for couples that are very big and well-known, so does that mean we can't convert canon One True Pairing entries to Super Couple if the fandom they're from is small?
I would say no. So don't put anything on Super Couple unless it's a very big fandom.

Fan-Preferred Couple cleanup threadAs much as it hurts me to do this, here are the examples from YMMV.Star Vs The Forces Of Evil:
- Fan-Preferred Couple: Besides the heavily pushed Starco, some other pairings have popped up, mostly because some people didn't understand why Starco was so popular to begin with.
- The most notable one is Jackie/Marco (Jarco), mostly because it had more build-up and the two of them shared more natural chemistry according to some people. Even some diehard Starco fans appreciated Jackie being a sympathetic Romantic False Lead, some of them even felt bad when Jackie decided to end their relationship so that Marco can be happy with Star. Could count as a Jackie pairing, since Jackie was canonically paired off with Chloe
- Many fans ship Janna/Tom (Jantom) even before the two properly met in the second half of Season 3. The pairing very much has a strong fanbase with some others wanting it have been canon in the end. One Tumblr user even made a comic series on how the two would've end up together had they'd met earlier in Season 1. I don't know who either of them ended up with, if Janna was canonically paired off with someone else, this may count
- Both Janna/Marco (Janco) and Janna/Star (Janstar) have a sizable following, largely because most fans wish for Janna to appear more. Many also agree that Janna dating either of them would be hilarious. Janna/Tom is more popular than either of them, with Starco being the most popular overall
- Tom/Marco started out as a Crack Pairing between two pretty boys who happen to be romantic rivals. Many have voiced their approval of the ship after "Friendenemies" came out, which was loaded with subtext. The following of the ship grew even more in Season 3, where Tom shares a lot of chemistry with both Star and Marco, to the point where some hoped the show would end with all three of them in a threesome relationship. Sadly, that was not the case. Even Daron Nefcy likes the ship, but also said it would never be canon. See, this one could count if we take the idea that Tom used to date Star at face value. I don't know if he ended up with someone else, but Tomco is the second most popular ship next to Starco
- Marco/Hekapoo (Markapoo), largely because their interactions come across as flirtatious and they had 16 years worth of Foe Yay in comparison. I don't think Hekapoo had a confirmed Love Interest
- Marco/Kelly (Kellco), as the two developed a connection and are equally skilled fighters, as seen in episodes like Lava Lake Beach and Kelly's World. If we take Kelly/Tad at face value, this could work
- Aside from Star or Marco related couples, people also like Meteora/Mariposa (Meteposa), given how close the two girls are and them being a Mewman/Human pair, which is an interesting parallel to Starco. I don't think this counts, more of a One True Pairing, really. Meteora did flirt with Rasticore once, but that didn't work out and she was a different person then anyway
A couple of entries from Live-Action Films:
- Michael/Laurie is the fandom's favorite in the Halloween series. Rob Zombie's remake series give this pairing a boost because, apparently, Mikey loves his baby sister. I am reasonably sure that Michael never had a love interest. But I don't know about Laurie.
- In the film adaptation of The Hobbit, the most popular ship among fans is Thorin/Bilbo, or Bagginshield. The pairing blew up like you wouldn’t believe after ‘'An Unexpected Journey’’ was released and only escalated from there. It’s virtually impossible to look up The Hobbit on Google without stumbling across Bagginshield fanart or fanfiction. Youtube is also full of videos shipping them, both crack videos and serious ones. The Ho Yay between them in the films proper doesn't help. Neither had a love interest cut.
- James Bond is, of course, hardly the type to settle down (except that one time, and it's implied he was at least considering it a few other times), but with fans who think he should, the most popular pairing, at least among female fans on Live Journal, seems to be not with any of his lovely companions from his adventures but rather with his perennial UST object, MI6 secretary Moneypenny. The ones that aren't Yaoi Fangirls, anyway; those typically pair him with Alec. They shared everything, you know...This one I am unsure about. Do we count Girl of the Week as Creator preferred.
- There was a good amount of fans shipping Gandalf and Galadriel from The Lord of the Rings but then that one scene
from The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey blew it up. The other movies and the RL relationship between the actors that played them do nothing but fuel the fire. In the books yes Galadriel was married. But I don't know if he's mentioned in the films. And Gandalf doesn't have a love interest.

For the Halloween one, Laurie got married at one point considering she had a daughter, though it depends on what timeline we’re looking at. I don’t think she had one in the Rob Zombie movies. Though, looking at Ao 3 at least, I don’t really see it in the top ship lists so idk how popular is actually is.
As for James Bond, Girl of the Week could count, I think, if the more popular pairing is with someone who hasn’t been a Love Interest an any point. Though it also depends on which James Bond we’re talking about. Classic Bond’s most popular ship is with Alec, I think, but Craig Bond’s is with Q.

I'm not really well-versed in SVTFOE but wasn't Chloe/Jackie preferred by most to Jackie/Marco as soon as the ship was introduced? (Fanwork count would have to consider that Chloe only existed in the final season.)

For Bond I feel like it's a lot like the original Star Trek. There's just so many Girl of the Week that's hard to call them Creator Preferred. Though I wouldn't mind keeping it and sperating it by classic and reboot Bond.
As for Halloween, I'm not that big of a fan, but it's popular on FanFiction.Net. Though the timelines give me a headache. So I will leave it to others.

Good point. I will write one for him and Q. And maybe one for classic and Alec. Since he only appears in one movie. And bond had a love interest in that. If everyone thinks that's okay.
Chloé doesn't even show up in the Top 10s on AO3. It's certainly popular for being the first gay pairing with a major character in a Disney cartoon, but it doesn't overshadow Marco/Jackie that much.
Then again, as pointed out before, the site isn't completely reliable regarding the issue if a pairing is well-liked. It only shows that the pairing is used a lot.
If you can, try limiting the search to fanworks that came out after Chloé's first appearance (April 29, 2019). Of course she won't show up in a lot of fanfic, because she came into the show really late in the run.

I get where you are coming from. But that's not necessarily true. Fanfictions featuring a character or ship can grow large in a matter of months. But that depends on how big the fandom. How big is Star vs the Forces of Evil fandom?

Fan-Preferred Couple cleanup threadI mean comparing a ship that existed for a year to a ship that's been around for four years is always bound to give skewed results. I can't remember anybody who still shipped Jackie and Marco after Jackie got her girlfriend- I'm sure there were still shippers but I think most people were into Starco or Tomco by then. It feels silly to say Jackie/Marco is fan preferred to Chloé/Jackie if they were most popular when they were a canon couple and Chloé didn't exist. I could be wrong though, I'm not active in the fandom I just saw a lot of fandom blogs who were.
SVTFOE infamously has a huge shipping fandom. However, the most active fandom seems to focus on a few major ships.

Okay I have a question. Is there any fan poles, fan art, and most importantly fan videos that can shed light. I'm not a big fan of the show. So I am trying to cover all the bases.
If Jackie/Marco were canon, then how long was the gap between that and Chloe?

Fan-Preferred Couple cleanup threadJackie and Marco broke up at least a season before Jackie returned with Chloe.
I do some cleanup and then I enjoy shows you probably think are cringe. Then I have a hard time calling that fan Preferred. Now if they were closer together maybe.
Fan-Preferred Couple cleanup threadThey're both canon at different points of the series (Jackie started as Marco's Love Interest while Chloe was introduced as Jackie's girlfriend), so I don't think either of them could be fan-preferred.
I do some cleanup and then I enjoy shows you probably think are cringe.
That's my point. Their to far apart to really. And they were both canon so I say cut.
From YMMV.Atypical:
- Fan-Preferred Couple: Casey/Izzie, big time. The fact that Evan, Casey's canon boyfriend, comes across as somewhat bland in comparison to the intriguing idea of a blossoming relationship between two girls helps. Needless to say, fans were ecstatic when the ship was eventually made canon. Though opinions are divided whether the relationship was portrayed well in Season 3, leading to a minor Shipping Bed Death.
If it's canon, then I'd say we cut that.
Rock'n'roll never dies!Okay question. Can something be this if it was canon for awhile. Then something happened (a death, break up, and so on) and one character ends up with or is given major Ship Tease with someone else for the rest of the series, but the fans still prefer we that older pairing.

Fan-Preferred Couple cleanup threadWell there is this one from Live-Action TV:
- Jackie and Hyde on That '70s Show. An interesting case, since the writers actually made the two a couple in later seasons... only for them to break up and cause them to slip right back into preferred territory with even more fans then before. Danny Masterson (Hyde's actor) has even tweeted saying
he doesn't understand to this day why they didn't end up together.

I don’t think it does Bullman. As long as an impression is left with the fandom (however big or small it is), that should be enough despite that.
