Yeah well almost all Giantesses were Gonk!
Even their male counterparts were often more attractive so there.
Completely untrue! Plenty of the giantesses where considered beautiful. Hell, Gerd was so pretty she had to fight off the affections of Aesir with a stick.
I love how everyone is going all up and arms about this when this is like first FE game which tries to have a wide-spread Theme Naming.
Genealogy pulled mostly from Norse mythological names first, with some Celtic spiced in.
Hey I never said there weren't drop dead gorgeous ones. Those are usually the ones that Vanir and Aesir fell for.
From what I've heard of Fate, it's a tried and true method, so I guess IS is just jumping on the bandwagon.

Pretty sure Mjolnir isn't a spell book but it's not like I read the actual mythology to know for sure.

Meanwhile no one seems to care that Lif and Thasir's names and genders do not match.
Seriously people, to IS, these are just cool names with varying levels of connection to their mythological sources.
All I know is that Odin is going to have some very awkward chats all over the family very soon.
Yeah no I have to say that FEH is playing the mythological naming a lot truer than the other games.
Other Fire Emblem games just throw mythological names at the wall and whoever receives it may or may not have anything in common with the source. That's fine, of course! Not everyone has to take everything they are from their namesake.
But FEH is very much being steered by the Norse theme. Surtr is Surtr, for all intents and purposes. Loki's the trickster we expect. Gender aside Lif and Thrasir are very appropriate monikers. And Hel plays it straighter than ever by indeed being the goddess of death.
And that's a +10 Santacelia. Now to decide what my next merge project should be.
Got -HP,+Atk Nah from my first circle. Might try for Yarne with the tickets, but otherwise I have all I need from this banner.
edit: 2nd ticket was Yarne. +HP,-Res but damn.
double edit: 2nd Nah on the last ticket circle. RIP my luck on whatever the summer banners are.

Lif = Alfonse confirmed. It's a pretty clever twist for this game so I can't wait for the next chapter just to see the impact of this reveal.
The Heart's Rite seems stupidly impractical and didn't even achieve its goal so good thing Veronica's decided to just get out of dodge and avoid everything going down.
I'm guessing Eir is going to be revealed as the other Sharena.
As far as the rite goes, I'm guessing the kingdoms did the rite out of desperation after losing their leaders. There's probably something more to the making the rite go correctly that requires the royalty there to head it.
Also, didn't Veronica decide that she was going to personally go kill Hel? That's not exactly staying back.
At this rate how many Veronicas will we get till we get Veronica proper?
Poor Kjelle, getting all gung ho about that mock battle and then immediately getting owned by, "Will you survive?!"
All the armor in the world will not protect you against Eclipse.
That's... Kind of the point of the attack I guess.
Even WTA apparently wasn't enough. It's maybe a little weird to think about, considering she's basically armoured Lukas with 5 more base Atk, but I guess that's cutscene power (or maybe Kjelle being controlled by the suicidal AI) for you.
Three Houses thing Damn, I can't believe that the main characters are going to get alts before the game is even out
So is the Barrier Lance effectively just a reskin of Berkut's Lance?
Kinda? Except you'll have to expend orbs instead of grails to get it.
More or less. Barrier's slightly better if both are unrefined (3 more Res when attacked), but if you put any Refining Stones into them, they're identical.
Yea, maybe sacrificing your true love was worth it after all.
Berkut is such a hilarious loser.
I want to push him in the sand and tell him nobody will ever love him again.
