Celica is now truly unstoppable. Well, not really.
Looks like we know who the next Mythic Hero is.
It's only a matter of time before these laws become more widespread. Gacha games need to evolve now or they will all be dead in the water before long.
I kind of wonder what the solution will be if more countries introduce laws like that. Gambling for virtual items is kind of the whole business model. I remember there being some kerfuffle back when I still played Contest of Champions and rules came in about saying the odds on lootboxes, though ultimately that was just revealing the odds (very low odds of the best options but everyone knew already anyway).
I'm guessing they'll take the fortnite approach and have limited time shops propping up the grind heavy free gacha. Sure, you COULD gamble your time, or you could just spend some money. And if you don't pay up now, it is Lost Forever.
It's another kind of psychological pummeling, but it's not gambling.
I don't see Japan budging on the issue. Or the US as a whole (maybe some states). Or even most European countries. But as long as Japan doesn't budge gacha can continue to gacha.
Well, got Isthar and a 4* Mordecai from the 1st circle.
Louise seems like an alright unit if don't have Brave Lyn.
Got Bride Fjorm after being spooked by F!Morgan in the same circle, she's -Spd +HP, which isn't ideal, but it's workable and helps with her staff's effect.
Fjorm was all I wanted, so I got out of it with a good amount of orbs left to stash for future banners.
My free pull was Lissa, so I'm going to ignore this banner entirely from now on; I have enough things to wait to burn orbs on, after all.
I tried to pull two colorless for Fjorm, but got Ninja Mario Bros.
I mean that's kinda how gacha works in some games (especially FEH) sure there's a generic pool, but that is inaccessible without a corresponding banner, all of which have an expiration date.
Part of the issue is a lot of Values Dissonance when it comes to microtransactions between the western and eastern markets. Stuff westerners would groan at, raise an eyebrow at or call pay to win are more or less accepted by gamers in the east as just part of online gaming. They more readily and freely spend money in games than westerners are willing or like to in general. Big reason why gacha are much more popular and numerous in the east than the west, and why you get more eastern player whales than western ones.
But in other news:
Logged two pulls on the old bridal banner for Ninian and got her; another flying dancer is always welcome and I have a bonus unit for TT now. Flier Emblem now officially has a refresher.
No luck thus far on Fjorm though. The game seems to gleefully withhold colorless orbs the few times I actually want to pull colorless... The most I’ve gotten out of that banner thus far is a -Atk, +Spd Mordecai. Oof.
270 orbs left out of 330, have to decide if I’m going to save or pull again.
Also if the next Mythic really is Naga, then it’s about damn time she showed up. Considering she’s the resident Big Good of Archanea, Ylisse and technically Jugdral she definitely deserves to be in the game.

If she is a dragon, it'll make the hilarious irony of her being weak to her own spellbook
I think the thought of her being weak to her own teeth is funnier.

So would she die if she accidentally bit her own tongue or cheek?
Isn't that what happens when anyone bites their cheek?
Reminder Duma and Mila punched Naga so hard in their nine day battle her teeth got scattered everywhere.

I like the implication that Mila punched Naga in the mouth repeatedly.
Mila to naga: "You came to the wrong neighborhood motherfucker"
"You picked the wrong continent, fool!"

I forgot, what was the skill that imply it was Naga & not Mila for the upcoming Mystic banner?
A translation of the “Effective against dragons” skill; in Japanese it’s Divine Dragon King’s Fang; Naga’s Japanese title is the same, and gender neutral.
