I really don't know, the reaction seems mostly focus on Alphonse's edgelord ancestor & the beast units. Neither are having negative reactions

Probably not. Given the video and Feh saying the setting was changing entirely to Hel, I'm guessing that all the Askrs die and end up saved from enslavement by Eir. They then have to look for a way out, which inevitably ends in confrontation with Hel and killing her.

As far as the third (and maybe fourth, depending on actual banner size) Radiant Dawn unit, since they're starting with royals, I think if they're willing to do Tellius dragons differently, Kurth would be a good candidate. Otherwise, maybe Skirmir or Naesala. Despite being a Lethe fan, I'm not really holding my breath on her getting into this wave.

People didn't hate book 2 for being dark. They hated it for being boring with bad writing and an uninteresting plot that wasted its vaguely interesting characters.

If I recall correctly, IS needs approximately 6 months to plan and release any given unit.

I'm not sure if you are talking about the revenue decrease in November specifically, but IS is literally unable to create new stuff so fast. To see their actual response to the event, we gotta wait at least a few months for the development pipeline to change.

Especially given how out of left field and completely contrary to the story's themes at the time Gunnthra's was...

I mean, I knew from the start that Laegjarn was doomed since she was Muspell's Camus, but Gunnthra was just a certain other infamous character death from another certain series: blatant shock value and borderline Stuffed into the Fridge.

It was surprising the sympathetic grunt who was not a Camus got to live so long. Typically they are killed the chapter they are introduced. So props to doing right by Helbindi in that regards.

I'm meh on Book 3 after seeing what happened to the writing in Book 2, but I'll give it a chance at least. The implication that the general is the first king of Askr could theoretically be interesting at least (and is the female general the first queen of Embla? She looks a little like an older Veronica).

TBH I don't like the new characters' designs at all, they stray into that weird bizarro style fantasy that I don't think suits Fire Emblem all that well, but at least they have cool skeletons to show that they're dead.

Im pretty sure that she is the first Queen of Embla to go with being a Mage and everything just like her descendant. And you'd want a King thats strong as a General afterall. Just as Hel got Surtr as an underling but without he spooky skeleton bits.

Im hoping for a really weird relationship between Eir and Hel considering thst creepy as hell embrace at the beginning and the ending segment.
