Haven't watched the latest two episodes (3 and 4), but I found the first two episodes to be great, especially episode two.
As an aside, it's kind of surprising that nobody in the forums talked about The Good Wife, since it has a lot of stuff many people here love (great diversity, many well crafted female characters, smart plots and funny comedy, interesting political and social commentary...) I wonder if it was the title or maybe network/site demographics not overlapping a lot.
1 2 We are what we pretend to be, so we must be careful about what we pretend to be. -KVThe Good Wife had some alienating aspects. I used to watch it a great deal before I realized I liked every single character but Alicia Florick and found her to be a singularly awful human being. Not in the entertaining Littlefinger way either.
I may have also let my opinion on the backstage drama affect my opinion of her, though. I really wanted a show about Diane's character (and Kalinda until she left) which this is pretty much providing.
Plus Rose Leslie is bound to bring in more geek fans, I'm sure.

Author of The Rules of Supervillainy, Cthulhu Armageddon, and United States of Monsters.I think the biggest flaw of the show is everyone keeps bringing up Alicia Florick when I can't help but think Diane would want her to go die in a fire.
The show is much improved without her, IMHO.
I think all the cast is having a ball, though.

All rise for the honorable Judge Howard Lyman. Poor Diane.

"You can reply to this Message!"I absolutely loved the episode where they were discussing what they'd love to do if they could impeach Trump.
The delicious relish of it all.
The thing is, "going to the gutter" is probably NOT a strategy they can win with because media Trump doesn't hide his actions.
Author of The Rules of Supervillainy, Cthulhu Armageddon, and United States of Monsters. The show has a meta problem - It is very easy to build an iron-clad case for impeachment of Donald Trump, because, well, he is abusing the office, and is not very subtle about it.
But the show cant have the firm put together an ironclad case against him based on his actual crimes. Because that would be one hummer of a political statement, far more than tv is usually comfortable making.
So we get this. Which makes very little sense.
I'm reminded a bit of the The Newsroom where the first season had them editorializing on the previous year's news and the show was badly criticized for it.
However, that's the only time the show actually made any real sense and was really good.
I feel the Good Fight is profiting off liberal outrage on Trump but...honestly....it's something that greatly benefits the show and certainly gets me to watch it.

A new The Good Wife "spinoff" (really a Post-Script Season) is coming out in February. Diane and Lucca are the main characters, along with Rose Leslie playing Diane's niece. David Lee, Marissa Gold, Howard Lymon, Kurt Mc Veigh, Elsbeth Tascioni and TGW's recurring judges will also appear (seriously, get Cary too and it's just The Good Wife without Eli, Alicia and Peter).
