So that's both Sony and Square Enix with single player games while Capcom is doing Mv CI.
Disney is making a bunch of partnerships. EA having Star Wars was already huge.

It's a shame with the EA deal, a Star Wars SE game could be really interesting.
They've gladly learned trying to do everything in-house and not letting anyone else take a crack at Marvel was a stupid mistake.
I wonder what type of games they're going to do with Marvel characters though.
Green Goblin stabs Gwen Stacy with his glider!
It's an Avengers Game.
Insomniac are the ones doing the Spider-Man game.
Just found out about this and HOLY CRAP THAT TRAILER GAVE ME CHILLS.
Whoever came up with the idea to do a licensing thing that lets other developers do Marvel games deserves a freaking medal.
Really, we've got the Spider-Man game by Insomniac, Guardians of the Galaxy by Telltale, Marvel vs. Capcom: Infinite by Capcom (obviously), and now this!
Hot damn, I wish I had a PS 4 already!
So there was that cancelled Avengers game from a few years ago and I wonder if this'll be something similar.
Loki stabs Jane Foster with his Mind Gem staff!

i see square enix and all i see are the countless ways this will go wrong
What are you talking about?
Anyway my current WMG is that the girl taking in the trailer is Ms. Marvel.
I know most people think Final Fantasy or Kingdom Hearts when they hear Square Enix, but I think this is going to be more of an Eidos/Crystal Dynamics product, considering their names pop up in the teaser too. I mean, I know they're all technically Square since SE absorbed the other companies as subsidiaries years ago, but I've encountered people who don't realize that and think SE still only puts their name on JRPGS and the like.note Not saying Trip's one those people, just speaking generally.
So I'm not sure what to expect, but I suspect the Tomb Raider teams may be the ones working on this. Either way, I'm cautiously optimistic.

So does that make the prospect of having Iron Man or Captain America in KHIII much more likely?
Well, they did have the Keyblade in Disney Infinity.
This could very well lead to something in that vein, yeah...
It was already a possibly as they have said any Disney owned property was possible, Disney adaptations from other sources are more murky since it requires negotiations, which is why Tarzan hasn't appeared again in KH and glaringly missing in Chain of Memories.

Though in this case there is a difference because Disney owns Marvel and Star Wars lock, stock and barrel. The issue with Tarzan is that his video game rights are owned by the original author's estate, meaning Square Enix had to approach them to get permission in the first place.
Either the family didn't like what Square did with Tarzan in the first game or (more likely) wanted too much money for any further appearances.
The lack of crossover between Marvel and Square previous was because Disney was extremely stingy about who they allowed to license their Marvel games, because they wanted to do most of the console stuff in-house. That's why in recent years the only Marvel console games were Disney Infinity (which isn't even really a Marvel game) and Lego Avengers.

You know, it's a shame Square Enix of Japan isn't making Avengers games. Think of the crazy new designs they would come up with.
I don't think Marvel would let them.
Square does have that line of Marvel figures, that are basically "Japanified" takes on Marvel's characters. A lot of them are really overdesigned but Venom looks pretty cool◊.
Marvel has always considered the Japanese market important, they got Madhouse to do 4 animes for them and Stan Lee created Heroman among others.
They also did Star Wars ◊◊◊
Eh, they're not bad designs, but I think they're too bulky. Sometimes a simple, sleeker look is the best.
