Team Dangan Ronpa themselves are the main villains of the whole franchise though. It honestly wouldn't surprise me. The Tutorials tend to be more self aware then other games, which I'm sure Kodaka did on purpose.
Watch SymphogearHe most like didn't know what that code was for. He never saw the inside of Amami's room.
As thebrawlbro already said, it was for the door at the end of Deathroad of Despair. Not that it mattered because Ouma already had the hammer to open the door anyway.

Speaking of the vault codes, how did Ouma even find out about them? And who was it that set up the codes, Shirogane or Amami before Team Dangan Ronpa erased his memories in preparation for the 53th game?
Everything is Vanity and a chase after Wind.I think more people should have seen how the game is trolling people didn’t come out of nowhere. Each game in the series has done it to some degree.
Kodaka must have traded a lot of ideas with Yoko Taro, as they are friends, so it makes sense that the meta commentary would have been heightened
And from what I know, I love the ending even more then ever now.

Watch SymphogearWell, I can see that last bit happening, at least, and from the fanfics I've read, I'm not the only one.
I've read two fics where Korekiyo bites it in Chapter 2, freeing up Angie to commit murder in Chapter 3 - interestingly both times Gonta was the victim (albeit unintentionally), although the circumstances were different. For starters, one fic only had one victim for Chapter 3, while another took advantage of the "First Come, First Served" rule and had the Mastermind kill someone who was getting too close.

Those fics are I'd Trade My Life For Yours and Three-Point Shot, right?

The main point of my WMG is that Atua is both real and a member of Team Danganronpa. Angie hears him similar to Keebo and his voices (the audience). Atua could use Angie and have Angie kill in his name if need be, but it didn't come to that.

Perhaps he didn't have it in him to actually do it himself, and was hoping someone else could do it for him.
I've seen some people theorize that he went on the game to die - perhaps they made it so that he'd be like that.
Oh God! Natural light!Speaking of Chapter 2, Complexity Addiction really did screw everything up for Kirumi. If Ryoma was just left in his lab, then nobody would've figured out anything.

so, I take it the ending of this game is the new Draken Gard Ending E in terms of divisiveness and meta.
All it needs is an extra scene after the epilogue and a "What is is, thing, what can we do?" event happen.

Watch SymphogearI'll confess, I am immensely curious about what would have happened. Everyone believed that it was all just a lie, but Monokuma never admitted as much, which strikes me as odd.
Maybe it wouldn't have worked, but I'd at least like to have seen them try.
Oh God! Natural light!

When Thinking about it, This whole time, there's been foreshadowing this whole time that The Previous games were works of fiction within fiction in regards to V3. Every Game has Team Dangan Ronpa give you a tutorial for the game mechanics. That alone is a warning flag given the context of V3's reveal.
