[up]Thanks. Hopefully the Exorcist will get a full plastic kit if/when the Sororitas get a Coded.

I have always liked the colour scheme for the Knights of the Blazing Sun from classic Warhammer and I have finally got around to painting one. I think he turned out quite well and am considering using the scheme for my Stormcast and possible a homebrew Primaris Marine Chapter.

This week I finished a test model for a unit of uncorrupted Fallen Dark Angels I am thinking of taking with me to the next Warhammer World Campaign Weekend. I tried to give his armour a more weathered look and I think it turned out quite well.

[up] That does look pretty good; I like the subtle touches of dirt and grime on the robe, too.

[up]Thanks. I was trying something a little different for the robe too, repeated layers of Drybrushing with Praxeti White. I do like the Citadel Dry Paint range.

Finally remembered to get the pictures of my finished Death Guard models off of my phone.

Mortarion (close-up of a wing) (I'm really happy with how he came out)

Plague Surgon.

Also: Typhus repose

[up]They look good. Also like that your going for a bone colour scheme. I'm probably going to go for brown when I finally get around to painting my Death Guard.

[up][up]Thanks! [tup]

It's not actually a bone scheme though. It's based on their pre-Heresy colours, just even dirtier. [lol]

[up]Thank you.

What sucks though is that the shitty weather we've been having where I am has really kind of killed my drive for working on my minis.

Mainly because, I've got so many to assemble, and I want to paint. But the amount of rain, snow and cold weather hasn't given me any days I can prime my models

Following on from the Fallen Marine I posted last week, this week I finished his boss Cypher. I did a far better job with this version of the model than I did with the previous version of the character. I am particularly happy with how his robes turned out.

[up] Nice work! I'm eventually going to build and paint Cypher, but I've got a lot of Blood Angels to get done.

[up]Thanks.

When you do come to paint him, he has the Imperium Faction Keyword so you could take him alongside your Blood Angels. Some of the Fallen have got red robes as well that could look good on Cypher and would fit with the Blood Angels colour scheme.

Here is the latest model I have repainted, a Canoness from my Adepta Sororitas army, the Order of the Grey Mantel. She came out far better than I expected her to, especially the hair, and the Daemon skull I put on her base turned out reasonably good as well.

Back to Blood Bowl with my Chaos Dwarf team's first Bull Centaur. I have always liked the idea of Bull Centaurs and I am reasonably happy with how he turned out.

[up] It did turn out well...almost looks like a Chaos Dwarf.

I finished my Eversor last night but don't have time to post pics.

I had a bit of a mental block about wanting to work on this one, but I decided to bang him out before I get too deep into my Blood Angels.

[up]He look awesome, very well done[tup][tup] I especially like the shading on his synskin. I am guessing the red is to fit with your Blood Angels.

Of all the current Assassin minis the Eversor is probably my favourite (it has such a great sense of movement) and it will be the first when I finally get around to painting them.

[up] Thanks! The red matches the paint scheme on his GW model, or as closely as I could get it to match.

When you start working on yours (and for anyone that is paying attention) Warhammer TV has a Tip of the Day video on synskin that’s very helpful.

[up]Cool. Personally though, while I do use painting guides as inspiration, I find a lot of enjoyment in painting from coming up with my own schemes, techniques and methods etc.

[up] True. That said, I would've had no idea how to create that effect without that guide...using a dark gray on black as a zenithal highlight on black is the extent of my skill so far.

[up]Yeah, as I said I use guides as inspiration then try out different things based on them. I have had a bit of trouble with black armour in the past but after seeing something on the Citadel Paint App I tried something different for the Fallen and Cypher that I posted previously and they turned out quite well.

I painted the three Petitioners from the Shadespire Sepulchral Guard recently and think they turned out relatively nicely (sorry for the poor photo).

[up] Nice work on the rust on the blades, in particular. [tup]

[up]Thanks. The blades were relatively simple to do as well. A base of Leadbelcher then some large blotches of Brass Scorpion followed by a wash or two of Agrax Earthshade.
