Who'd be Poe though?
I guess Godbrand would be Kylo Ren but less dangerous.
Vampire D had some rather creepy monsters, that was for sure.
Godbrand is too good for Kylo.
A lot of things are too good for Kylo, but my statement still stands.
One Strip! One Strip!I just remember the original, and that it was very interesting with its weird post-apocalyptic aesthetic. I should track down Bloodlust one of these days.
Bloodlust is generally considered to be far better than the original 1985 movie too, especially in terms of animation.
Is weird how much season two gave me a big S&M vibe? :p
35 year old white man.Not that weird one you consider what franchise this show is an adaptation of.
Look at how Isaac dresses in the games.

Plus Trevor uses a whip, wink wink nudge nudge.
That is the face of a man who just ate a kitten. Raw.Are we not going to mention Carmilla collaring people.
As BDSM vibes go the netflix series ain't Castlevania's most blatant though.
Bleye knows Sabers.Really? Which one beats Castlevania?
So it just occurred to me:
From a meta standpoint, the reason we never see Trevor do anything magical is because his game came before the later games where stuff like Item Crashes were a thing, but even then, Leon has his enchanted Gauntlet, and you'd expect that to get passed down...
...but this series actually provides an in universe explanation: Trevor's family home was destroyed before he could be fully trained in all the knowledge his family possessed. He got all the physical training and knowledge of creatures, but never received any magical knowledge.
He's essentially Incompletely Trained, and it's only after he marries Sypha and adds both her magical knowledge and power to his bloodline that the Belmont family gets itself back in shape.
One Strip! One Strip!"It's the magical door of death, Belmont."
That is the face of a man who just ate a kitten. Raw.I think I might do an Isaac cosplay soon. Also, I'm crushing so hard on Sypha.
But anyway, here's a thought I don't know if you all had floated before: The being known as "Vlad 'Dracula Tepes" did let go and let himself die when Alucard staked him. But his malevolent will still existed, and was indeed trying to attack Alucard out of self-preservation, hence Alucard's look of fear at the decayed face and hands still coming at him despite the reconciliation. Sypha and Trevor may have stopped that and put the nail in the coffin (so to speak) on Dracula, but the malevolent will lives on, and is what we see escape. While Isaac and Carmilla may be co-Big Bads of the next season, or may take some time to develop, that amalgam of hate will come in to play at some point.
So Devil May Cry will also have a series in this multiverse. That's fine and all, but honestly, if they were going to choose a Capcom series, I'd have rather seen Darkstalkers. And if they were going to go outside of Konami at all, I'd have rather seen Soul Calibur.
The sad, REAL American dichotomyIt's not like they take place in the same time period. It hardly matters.
Mega Man fanatic extraordinaireSpeaking of time periods, did we get confrimation on when this show is taking place, in what time period exactly? I didn't watch the first episode of the first season so I kind of just went with "Middle Ages, but with vampires."
I'M MR. MEESEEKS, LOOK AT ME!It should be somewhere in the 1400's.
I recall that's around the time Castlevania III: Dracula's Curse actually takes place.
Edit: 1476 is when the game takes place, so it's would be the same for the show.

One Strip! One Strip!1476 is also significant because that's the year the actual real life Count Dracula died.
It gives dates in the first episode, so we can always go off of those.
Qui odoratus est qui fecit.Emmy campaign started[1]
None that I've seen
Season 3 was confirmed way back (I think 10 episodes), but it'll probably take a good while until we hear about it.
Latest blog update (November 5th, 2022).At the very least, we know a season 3 is coming. ...Eventually.
In any case, I hope we hear something soon. Super Smash Bros. Ultimate got me hungry for Simon and Richter later down the line.
This show had a big enough effect on me that when I played Ultimate and fought the Dracula boss I was playing the show's version of "Bloody Tears" the entire time XD
That is the face of a man who just ate a kitten. Raw.
Fair enough.
