The tree burns up before it reaches him. What did you expect would happen?

I can't keep a consistent lock on them. Perhaps... Yes.

Jophiel begins flying around, now able to see anyone hiding behind something. Those hiding under things are still safe.

He begins to conjure illusory swords. These rain from the sky, providing a means of attack while Jophiel focuses on dodging.

-Since they're in a park, there's not much cover he can use against something airborne. The trees provide adequate protection against the raining swords, but they're still not enough. Perhaps he can make a beeline for that toilet over there, but that would be a bit too risky for his tastes-

-Besides, his strong suit is melee. The only reason he carries guns in the first place is because he can't throw energy blasts like other martial artists. Not that guns are any good against his current opponent, but perhaps...-

-He begins taking potshots at the angel's wings with his handgun, now attached with a suppressor. From this distance the shots would be completely silent, assuming Jophiel's hearing is roughly equal to a human, and the lack of muzzle flash should make it hard to pinpoint where the shot came from. Then again, G isn't exactly a championship-level marksman, and the lowered bullet velocity certainly throws off his already subpar aim-

Mathematics simply grumbles, dodging swords.

A sword hits Black and blows him back into another one; However, the second hit actually registered on a cardboard cutout, Black a bit away gasping for air. He's clearly hurt, but it's not fatal.

Assisted by Jophiel's incineration aura, G's bullets catch on fire and impact his wings. He doesn't count it as a hit, but he starts to descend.

Nice aim. Fine, I'll fight you on the ground.

He readies a diagonal sword slash.

G, Black, and Mathematics should also take note of all the bullets that missed Jophiel. Assuming they're affected by gravity, the bullets will eventually come down and provide another hazard to avoid.

PS pulls out his key and leaps into the action now that he has a minute to rest and collect himself now that the guy with wings landed to face the other three, His key turns into a Tommy Gun (as it does) and He fires at the winged man.

"Eat lead!"

You are late.

The bullets are lit on fire. Jophiel jumps to the side, avoiding most of them.

Jophiel uses his sword slash, sending out more of those homing fireballs from the beginning of the fight.

Do you wish to steal the accomplishments of others? I will not tolerate such things.

Black simply runs behind a tree and cowers. The fireball hits the tree and lights it up.

Mathematics starts blocking bullets with her palm; They still do some damage, but her glove prevents any skin from breaking. She then gets hit by the first fireball sent at her, blocking the second one with the other palm. Still hurts, though.

"Now we're talking!"

-G simply wades through the hail of bullets. A subsonic 9 mm round won't travel very far, and even if they come back down they would have less energy than when exiting the muzzle, more so if they tumble around in the wind. The fireballs pose a bigger problem, but he neutralizes them via punches from his uninjured hand-

-As he approaches Jophiel, he tosses several flashbangs and a couple of smoke grenades all around him, before remotely detonating them all at the same time-

Jophiel rises into the air, apparently counting the grenades as the last hit. He shields himself with a flaming barrier.

Divine Call - Eternal Paradise Guardian

A giant beam of light approaches the ground, spewing out chunks of rock. It takes up the entire middle third of the arena. Coming off from the beam, more fireballs, birds, lasers, and a few randomly placed rings of flame emerge.

Your fate is sealed. You can complete this. It's just a matter of time.

The attack lasts for exactly 30 seconds.

-G was preparing the next part of his attack just as Jophiel takes into the air. He meekly reattaches the demolition charge into his belt-

"Bad time? Come on, mate. I'm actually having-

-G narrowly avoids the giant fuck-off beam that rips the park apart. That is the least of his concern, however as the multitude of attacks prove to be too overwhelming to perfectly dodge-

-Instead, he leads one of the laser shots to cut a lamp post horizontally, which he then uses as a gigantic staff to deflect the incoming projectiles. What he can't smack away, he avoids by using lamp post as a pole. This is not to say his technique is perfect, however as he cannot adequately defend against the lasers, while an occasional fireball slip through his defenses-

-Despite the burns and injuries, he is still standing. If anything, his swings becomes more and more frenzied as he takes damage-

Okay, "giant fuck-off beam" was amazing. Also he's still alive.

Wonderful. You survived. If you die later on, you are now worthy of the best possible afterlife.

Jophiel explodes into a mass of light particles, returning to the gate he guards.

"Really? That's the reference you're gonna- Oh my god!"

Black dives out of the way, but is scared back into his crystalline form.

However, Mathematics is too busy dodging the attacks to notice; however, she gets hit head on by a ring and a fireball, along with singes and grazes from other abilities.

She stands, teeth gritting, dress slightly singed as she rubs her hands together, making the gloves spark with static electricity.

Mathematics watches him leave, discharging by zapping a tree.

"Man, that was something."

Black snaps out of his crystalline form again, holding his head.

"It's over?"

"Yep."

Both survive the attack, but Mathematics happens to be on fire when it's over. They receive the same speech as above.

Mathematics simply grumbles before stopping, dropping, and rolling. A few seconds of humiliation later, she's okey.

She gets up and stretches.

-G tosses the half-slagged mass of metal away and exhales. Why would the big guy upstairs decide to send an angel to personally test him? Why would he test his physical might instead of faith or the goodness of his heart? Even then, is he truly worthy of heaven?-

"...Yeah. I don't know about that, bud."

-G turns to the pair-

"So, uh, would you mind if we pick up our brawl later? It ain't fun if we're not in peak condition."

Despite having vanished, Jophiel answers G’s mental questions through telepathy.

I don’t get it either, but I listen to him because I don’t have anything better to do.

"Fine by me. Now, if you excuse us, I think our boss has found the correct dimensional coordinates this time; Thusly, I bid you adieu."

"Adios!"

A portal opens up, and Mathematics walks trough it. Black waves to G before hopping in as well.

"Safe travels."

-He waves back to the pair. He picks up the tattered remains of his coat, burnt from stray flaming attacks-

"...Goddamn. And I just bought it too."

-He tosses it in a nearby trashcan, somehow pristine despite the recent carnage, and heads off to another part of the city-

Somewhere...

A beast lumbers through the streets, causing slight tremors with each step.

There is a bright light in the sky. From far away it would look like a star, but actually it was an armored man, his Solar Armor's fire trailing behind him. He had woken up mid-fall. "Huh..?" He said to himself, still unaware that he was falling, before turning around and seeing the ground quickly approach him. "Oh damn" was all he could say before crashing into the ground, his armor protecting him from taking any fatal damage.

The beast makes a low rumbling noise from its throat. It changes course from aimless wandering, coming up on the man who just fell here.

It's the obese krocodile with a gold-plated stomach, King K. Rool.

He puts his hands on his hips and laughs a bestial, roaring laugh, looming over the fallen adventurer(?).

The armored man gets up, holding his head. He turns around to see the crocodile... Thing laughing. Was he laughing at him? He didn't know.

"Excuse me? Do you know where I am right now?" The armored man stayed polite, he only hoped that this thing wasn't looking for a fight.

King K. Rool keeps laughing for a few seconds. It takes a bit for the noises to die down.

"Well, since you're so polite," he answers in a surprisingly audible voice, "I'll tell you! You and I are in another dimension. Neither of us know this place as home.

"Some people might be able to enter and leave as they please, others might have no way back to where they came from, and some, like myself, just think this place is too fun to leave!"

"What?! Are you serious??" He couldn't believe what he was hearing. He quickly pulled out his cell phone and punched in a number... No answer.

The crocodile was right! The armored man fell on his knees, and put his hands on his face. Now what was he going to do?

A large black worm flies (somehow) above both the crocodile and the man. It seems passive enough, but it would probably be in their best interests not to attack it.
