I take closure pretty much in any form. I just don't think they'll be able land it even if they get the approval.
I didn't know someone actually responded to me. I feel bad for not replying sooner.
I don't everything, but after everything Invictus put her through, why would she suddenly trust it? Maybe I'm missing something & because it's a primordial being it can legitimately make a character grab Idiot Ball but nothing would imply that even with everything that happened with Gary & Avocato, she would trust a being of pure evil over Gary who has shown time & time again he's willing to talk things out.
Which leads me to this.
I really hate how much of a power-up Lord Commander got. I'm sure someone going to justify & say that Commander got his power increased because the Titan power stacked with whatever Invictus gave him, but seeing him kill Bolo & the rest of the Titans so casually is incredibly annoying to see. TBH, I also found that Ash easily defeated Lord Commander just as anti-climatic.
I also agree that both Bolo's & Fox's death were done in bad taste. A lot of it comes across bleak for the sake of being bleak.
Wow, alright. Didn't expect this and I'm not gonna hold my breath, but this is certainly interesting. There'd certainly be some real burning questions like how would they even continue on from that finale, what would happen between the Catos after that big twist, is Evra gonna pop up again, what in the hell's gonna happen with Ash if she's even still alive, so on. I honestly like this show the more I think about and re-watch it and I do feel a little bad I tried it months after it got axed but I'm glad it got as far and as good as it did, some of my favorite TV in years, the last season especially.
Self-serious autistic trans gal who loves rock/metal and animation with all her heart. (she/her)Titan Lord Commander being powerful enough to take on a bunch of Titans may have been down to how strong the Earth Titan Lord Commander merged with was. This may have been an unusually powerful Titan even before Lord Commander fused with it.
And it would actually make a bit of sense for the regular Titans like Bolo to not be particularly good at fighting. For all their power they weren't meant to be warriors, but builders.

Disgusted, but not surprisedTitan Lord Commander's main advantage over Bolo and the other Titans seems to be Super-Speed even by Titan standards. Titan Lord Commander's "strategy" of morphing his arm into a blade and slicing through Titans before they can react is simple but effective.
Disgusted, but not surprisedAnd again, the visual image of Bolo & the rest of the titans being speed blitz is way too much for me. If they wanted to use the Worf Effect literally any of the titans would do. Killing the rest of them just to establish how powerful Lord Commander I'm just not ok with that period. I already feel Commander gets away with so much as it is.

That scene made it very clear that the only reason Lord Commander lasted as long as he did was because he served Invictus' purposes. Heck, that's why he came back from the dead in the first place — Invictus still needed a pawn. The moment Lord Commander tried to be more than a pawn, Invictus threw him into a box to rot.

Disgusted, but not surprisedI suggest using spoiler since that's a very big spoiler, but yea, that was incredibly infuriating.
Yes, I'm aware of this, but I'm still standing by what I've said. I need re-watch some of this but as far as I know, Invictus wasn't really aware of what Commander was actually doing at the time. Either that, or it was so minuscule that it just didn't matter to a primordial being like itself.
I admit I'm more sympathetic to Ash than I should be, for personal reasons. I'll grant you that hurting Mooncake is a bit much and in general I'm sad this is how she turned out following such a wonderful episode like Forgiveness (and I'm particularly disappointed that we never saw Evra again), but I just read her as a constant victim of external factors basically her whole life unwittingly (Invictus and the Lord Commander aside) turning her into this powder keg that felt primed for going off at any moment. Gary apologizing for failing her had me going "...Correct" (and also got me in the feels). I had a longer post planned and revised a bunch but I'm tired so I'll leave it.

And I'm pretty sure if they did have another season Evra was supposed to be a means for Ash to have a Heel Realization.

Invictus was genuinely caught off guard by Lord Commander's stunt with the Earth Titan. That's why Invictus was so pissed off — that was not part of the plan. The point stands that Lord Commander only ever got that far in the first place because Invictus empowered him and even resurrected him.
It's arguably a sign that for all of Invictus' vast power, it's not all powerful and all knowing.
