The fact that they acknowledged that AoS introduced the concept into the MCU increases the chances that they're going to tie them together a bit. At the very least, this series shouldn't contradict AoS. I'm hoping the plot starts because the royal family realizes that with the surge in Inhumans on Earth, they have to actually do something. But we'll see. It's possible that the series will take place entirely on Attilan and not even reach Earth.
I guess that means that we will get casting news, soon? I mean, if they want to release this in fall, they really have to start shooting soon, or the CGI will never be done in time.
Unless it's a prequel, I can't see how they can't at least mention AOS.
Civil War ignoring AOS is one thing, but this would be a show using the same fictional race, on the same network, somehow acting like the other doesn't exist.
Well, these Inhumans come from the moon, so perhaps they finally realize that there are now a shit ton more Inhumans on Earth, so they decide to come to Earth to figure out what to do?
We don't know the exact time period this series takes place in though for a general rule about the Royal Family is that they do not get involved with Earthly matters unless it effects the family directly, such as the Fantastic Four landing on their territory. They have their own society that tries to remain its own society. Meanwhile, the greatest threats against them aren't bigoted humans or new Inhumans unable to control themselves but other Royal members who attempt to take over the throne. This creates a Game of Thrones political struggle as fans describe it Conflicts come from within the family.
I don't think Black Bolt and Medusa would really care about what happens on Earth until character development happens; source material did it already.
I just want to see if episode 3-8 can retain the IMAX quality. These Inhumans are the strongest. No one is above them in their own kind. Imagine those fight scenes!

Strange that they aren't using the AOS crew. I'd think they have a lot more connection to this project than one of the Netflix people.
That does settle any doubts I may have had about whether they might cast PO Cs in the leads. They're definitely going to be going with white people.
X-Men X-Pert, my blog where I talk about X-Men comics.I'd like that, but I thought Black Bolt was going to be played by Vin Diesel, and Medusa? Also Vin Diesel. Lockjaw too.
...Vin Diesel would actually make a pretty good Karnak.
I actually want Matt Bomer as Black Bolt....mostly because he would certainly be able to act out anything with ever using his (beautiful) voice.
Matt Bomer can be Karnak. Then he could say things like "My curse is that I see the flaw in all things. Systems. Philosophies. Structures. People. Everything. The bullet you fired at me was flawed simply from the act of being fired. You were flawed by being born."

Sounds great.
Someone on Reddit was complaining that Lockjaw wasn't on there, but if he is in the show, he'll be CGI. I just hope they have the budget for him.
Crow: There's a plot?Glue a fork to a dog's head.
I know you were joking, but that is actually not a bad idea. Using a combination of CGI and actual dog might yield the best result.
Inhumans Has a Showrunner, and It's Good News for Marvel TV Fans

Not sure if the Marvel fans see it that way, since there were some raised eyebrows when he was picked for Iron Fist, but I guess this means that at least Marvel was happy with Iron Fist.
We already knew that Scott Buck was the showrunner. That's old news.
Wait...leading man? Isn't Maximus the villain?
From the description (and not knowing anything about the comic character) it sounds like he's basically playing the Inhuman equivalent of Loki- so a charismatic villain who is one of the main characters and teases a Heel–Face Revolving Door.
I'm hyped though.

From what I know of Maximus in the comics, "Inhuman version of Loki" sounds spot on. With a bit of Magneto thrown in for good measure.
Not to mention, unless they wildly change how Black Bolt is portrayed, Maximus is more the leading man in the sense that he has way more lines than his brother.
Like, all the lines between the two.
A recent issue of All-New X-Men had Iceman calling the Inhumans "sharply-dressed weirdos who live on the moon," which is a fitting description.
