For one, the merger won't be finalized until next year and then it will take some time to sort everything out. And I have the feeling that then the priority will be the Fantastic 4 and not the X-men, but in any case, Don't expect to see either before 2021 at the earliest, 2023 is way more realistic. That is a lot of time and a lot of MCU movies made to that point. And it is entirely possible that Feige will decide against adding the X-men if he feels that they don't fit.
That is all certainly true, but the deal is not something that cheap to where they can just relax with the current success they have been getting. If they want to make back the money on the deal should it happen, then I don't why Bog Iger would let Feige just store the rights of the X-Men in some garage collecting dust. Feige might be in charge, but it is a business at the end of the day no matter how much of a comic fan he is.
I agree they should not introduce them until a few years down the line, but at some point, they have to do something with mutants.

Just Makima.I'm honestly not that surprised that Inhumans got cancelled. It didn't do well in the ratings and it has received a lot of negative reactions (especially from me). I can see the Inhumans being on the back burner for awhile until Marvel can figure out a better way to incorporate these characters into the Marvel films or TV shows. I guess if they had made it into a movie like they originally planned, the Inhumans probably would have been more successful.
I love animation, TV, movies, YOU NAME IT!

The Inhumans would have worked better as an animated show.
