Light blazing about her, Azadokht spins away from her lashing strikes against the Simulacra, a glance spared to thank Malia for the vigour driving her through them. She comes, for once, to rest. Breathes deeply. Finds power, then shapes it.
Letting the ribbon hang from her forearms, she takes up her axe, holding it high in both hands as the motes of power begin to flow. “Well, Leoran, I’m Azadokht – daughter of Vahumanah and Inoys – student of Rtapani and Kaufazata, of all those who lived in Gazdeh and those who came to Tasmag – beloved of Osroes – Radiant of the Parni!” Light runs from Azadokht as she begins to dance, letting the motion take her; she draws on the tome at her side, shaping the magic cascading into the weapon as it glows brighter, still brighter… “This ‘mob’? Two more Radiants! Five pairs bonded in that same union! And the mightiest warriors and mages on this continent besides!” The Light is blinding, now – the air thrums around the axe as it barely contains the power gathered at its head, rippling away into a beautiful, undulating stream that wreaths the dancer. “You think we can’t match you?” Azadokht calls, stepping into the penultimate figure and bearing her Light above her once more, feeling for the moment to loose it. “Match me!”
The words pulse in Osroes’ ears, anchoring him against the shadow even as his arrow scatters across the stones and Cassandra and Temperance fall. “Grendan is right,” he shouts, Rsama swooping back to offer him another chance even as he readies a shot to take it. “If this is for you alone, Leoran, then it is for nothing, for you gain nothing by it without others to share in it or use it for! I see, now, why you let Ailes do as he did! I say, then: our cause is that Tropera be protected – that is stronger than your nothing!”
Rsama banks, Osroes drawing the bowstring in concert. The angle is near-perfect. “And I say this: our people have readied themselves to fight nothingness for generations. It will not be lost in us.”
Azadokht moves to W33 and prepares an attack with the Purge Tome against Simulacrum 1, to trigger as soon as its Invulnerability fades.
Osroes moves to W30, drinks from his Pure Water and prepares an attack with the Greatbow against Simulacrum 2, to trigger as soon as its Invulnerability fades.
