You head back to the side of the fortress, keeping quiet as the four guards are still standing watch, though not paying much attention to you. They seem to be watching the sunrise together.
You find it very convenient that Armor Princess got past them unnoticed...
Dead for the foreseeable future. Towergirls will return when I do.I vote yay.
>They could just be pretending, planning something. It would really be best we check now.
Long live the New Bev.>Alright then. Keep doing the thing we were previously doing I guess.
>Move forward
> Be really, really, sneaky.
You slink past the guards, towards the end of the ramparts. There's another rise with a door leading inside, or the stairway back down. Which way do you go?
Dead for the foreseeable future. Towergirls will return when I do.>Inside!
>Inside
You duck into the door, coming into another empty room.
>Look for a chest!
>...No, we're not referring to the princesses, Tim.
Well, Dwarf has a chest, but like the rest of her, it's pretty small. And hard to see under all the armor.
Also the room is empty, but there is another door leading to the rampart at the back of the fortress.
To save some time, because we've been stuck in fortress for over a month now, we're gonna go through the door instead of waiting for a command to do the most obvious thing.
Peeking through the other door reveals an empty rampart, with yet another rise at the end. There's a mountain towering behind the fortress, so it makes sense that there's would be a lack of guards over here.
As you walk across, Dwarf Princess perks up.
"Still weird that there's a fortress out here... It's a good spot, but there ain't exactly been many wars fought in The Grand Tower Kingdom..."
"True. As far as I'm aware, this has always been the Dragon Queen's domain. I remember hearing stories of this place from my youth."
"And how old are ye...?"
"Around four-thousand at this point. You lose track of the exact number after awhile."
Dwarf Princess lets out an impressed whistle and you reach the end of the rampart, heading inside of the rise.
It's another mostly empty circular room, though there are a few things strewn about.
There are a few tables, most are empty, but one or two have empty or half-full bottles of ale on their surface, and stools sitting at their sides.
As you look about the room, you begin to hear some shouting. It's not close enough to be coming from the nearby ramparts, but you hear it nonetheless...
Dead for the foreseeable future. Towergirls will return when I do.

>Go out the door to the ramparts
"We be we baby!"
