Sort of what I thought, but yeah. If, say, I could get it later, I'd be willing to wait.
In any case, I'mma think about it.
I'm already committed to a bunch of rps.
How many slots left?
So I assume we'd go for 8 space warp instead of Shadow Dragon warp once we got there.
Where there's life, there's hope.I was thinking more like the Fates warp - teleport adjacent to allies?
Warp's also very much not an early-game ability, so it's understandable if you give it a minimum level; of course, it's so broken that I'd also understand if you banned it.
I did not expect to have cause to use the line "STOP DROPPING YOUR ASSES!" but DQ 11 gave it to me.The adjacent to allies version is probably what I'd use for it here.
There are currently 2 spots left in the party.
What matters in this life is much more than winning for ourselves. What really matters is helping others win, too. - F. Rogers.Yeah, Warp is generally agreed to be the most powerful ability in Fates, so I can see where the worry comes from.
"Why does everything have to loop back to YGO?" -Guy who ruined YGOGeh...
You know, excited as I am, I'm already over-committed to other R Ps.
I'm gonna have to let this one slide by me.
Sorry folks.
I definitely understand that problem. Thanks for your interest, anyway, and may all your dice crit.
What matters in this life is much more than winning for ourselves. What really matters is helping others win, too. - F. Rogers. This is my very first RP.
Where there's life, there's hope....
...
...
I'm actually quite honored that you chose this one, then. I'll do my best not to disappoint.
What matters in this life is much more than winning for ourselves. What really matters is helping others win, too. - F. Rogers. So do I.
I am playing through Path of Radiance and this RP just came by.

Where there's life, there's hope.Hey, fortuitous. Welcome then!
Charlie Stross's cheerful, optimistic predictions for 2017, part one of three.A quick request for future applicants: I'd appreciate it if someone would submit another character with the Flying Mount feat; Grendan could use some backup.
Not mandatory, mind you, and I won't hold it against you if you don't, but it'd be appreciated.
edit: Yes, I know, there's a Mounted unit already in there (hence my statement that it's okay if my request is disregarded), but there's always the risk that he'll get bogged down in forests or something.

I did not expect to have cause to use the line "STOP DROPPING YOUR ASSES!" but DQ 11 gave it to me.Speaking about classes, archers look pretty good in this game. The class' traditional weaknesses, no counterattack and low EXP gain, are rendered moot by the rules. They are effective against flying units and if you play smart enough you won't be surrounded.

Where there's life, there's hope.- Name: Arthur
- Age: 29
- Gender: Male
- Appearance: http://imgur.com/a/Lcx4e
- Personality:
Still, the fact he doesn't care means not he is not friendly- quite the contrary, he tries to be as friendly as possible around others, and is quite talkative too. But the thing he does the most, unfortunately for everyone else, is make puns and jokes. Funny puns and jokes? Sometimes. But most times he just kinda makes them and see how it goes.
- Background:
But of course, they couldn't live happily like that forever. One day, coming back home after having gone to the neighboring kingdom for personal reasons, he came back to see that his home, as well as the rest of the village, had been completely destroyed. What apparently had happened was that one of the revolution mongers had convinced his village to rebel even with the little army they had. And of course, thanks to his kingdom not having a proper military (they were a peaceful one) and having formed one only recently due to the ongoing bandits attacks, they had managed to resist for a few hours of desperate battle, before succumbing to the opposing army.
As some sort of "punishment" for trying to oppose, they had their village completely destroyed, and anyone who refused to surrender instantly murdered- and as it turned out, almost nobody was spared. It seems that speaker had really had an effect. Arthur's loved ones were all exterminated, of course- that's why, the man took his axe and some supplies, mounted on his horse, and started living a life of vagrancy, traveling between kingdoms, evading the war as much as he could, and fighting some bandits here and there. He hasn't forgotten the people who did this to him- in fact, he's just waiting for an occasion to get his revenge...

Arthur looks good, though he'll need a minor change to his backstory. The last kingdom to fall to Vissan was Durvalla 30 years ago. Arthur could be from a village in conquered Vissan territory that rebelled, or from a remote mountain village in Craelach that was never absorbed by Vissan until it was destroyed instead. Are either of those acceptable to you?
With Arthur's approval pending the above tweaks, we have 1 space in the party remaining.
What matters in this life is much more than winning for ourselves. What really matters is helping others win, too. - F. Rogers.I just realized that nobody added the movement bonus from the Mounted feat. Should probably fix that, too.
I did not expect to have cause to use the line "STOP DROPPING YOUR ASSES!" but DQ 11 gave it to me.I've been meaning to ask about the exact movement penalties foot and horse units incur on rough terrain.
Charlie Stross's cheerful, optimistic predictions for 2017, part one of three.Difficult terrain uses 2 movement for each tile you enter. This is increased to 3 for Mounted characters.
What matters in this life is much more than winning for ourselves. What really matters is helping others win, too. - F. Rogers. That applies to desert right?
Where there's life, there's hope.Speaking of terrain, what terrain benefits do Flying Mount units get? I'm assuming we don't get Defense or Avoid from terrain (as a trade-off for ignoring it when moving), but I think I should ask anyway, so we all understand exactly how flight works in this RP.
I did not expect to have cause to use the line "STOP DROPPING YOUR ASSES!" but DQ 11 gave it to me.^^ Yes.
^ Flying units do get terrain bonuses. The trade off for flight is that you are grounded or practically so during adverse weather, and you are vulnerable to ranged weapons, i.e., take 3x damage from bows and throwing weapons like javelins and hand axes.
Although, now that you raise that possibility, I might change that vulnerability to not benefiting from terrain bonuses. Vulnerability to bows is how it works in the original games, but that is a much higher risk in a game like this where each character is an individual player rather than a single unit in your army. Loss of terrain benefits would probably be better in this case as it does keep the disadvantages of the feat without running such increased risks of instagib. I'll think on that and reach a decision before the game proper starts.

What matters in this life is much more than winning for ourselves. What really matters is helping others win, too. - F. Rogers.Well, hitting 0 HP is not necessarily insta-death, right? So we're on semi-casual mode anyway.
Also, on the topic of mounts. What are their movements when grounded? Also, do mounts have indoor movement penalties like in some games?
"Why does everything have to loop back to YGO?" -Guy who ruined YGONo to indoor movement penalties. Adverse weather reduces Mounted and foot movement by 2; Flying Mounts are reduced by 4 and are treated as Mounted for interacting with terrain.

Sprites for all approved characters are up in the player's ebook. Let me know if you want any alterations.
@Blu: Hmm. Warp is a pretty powerful ability. I'm not sure I'd be comfortable letting a first level character have access to it. However, I could see finding a way to make it accessible to you later in the game, if you could live with being a more standard caster until then.
