Obvious reference? THIS! IS! SPARTA!
I had a dog-themed avatar before it was cool.So alliterator has been wondering for characters how many tropes should be needed for their own character page — Blade has about 140 tropes, while Elsa Bloodstone has about 40 and Shang-Chi has about 25. How many Tropes does a character need to warrent having their own page?

It's gonna be fun on the bun!Technically I don't think the trope count is what matters, just the overall page length. Characters usually get their own pages because they got too long and hit the character page limit.
Although for purely organizational reasons, I think it could be worth it to let characters that feature in a lot of different books or teams to have a solo character page.
All three of those characters have had solo books, so they can just go on their solo book's Characters page. (Bloodstone doesn't currently have a page, but Elsa can fit on Nextwave's page.)
Hey so there’s a lot of no example characters folders being created in the marvel section. I’m guilty of this myself to fill out the cast of each comic. Is there a place for me to post links for the pages so other people can add to them?
It's gonna be fun on the bun!Yes, please do that here.

Link to TRS threads in project mode here.We should create a sandbox for Marvel Characters and pages that need tropes. Also I'm not good with names. So if anyone has any ideas that would be great.
Edit: Sandbox.Marvel Characters Needing Examples

It's gonna be fun on the bun!Maybe this was already brought up and/or it's too late to mention it, but ComicBook.Black Canary was changed to be a redirect to Characters.Green Arrow Black Canary. Thing is ComicBook.Black Canary still has subpages but the new page does not. Also, while the YMMV mentions that she didn't have much solo material compared to other DC heroines like Batgirl, she existed since 1947 and didn't start dating Green Arrow until the bronze age of comic books (sometime around 1970).
Sandbox help wanted. With RallyBot2's permission I have changed Sandbox.Comic Character Cleanup into a title page for all the various comics characters cleanup pages.
It's gonna be fun on the bun!ComicBook.Doctor Doom is now about the 2019 comic series, but the subpages like YMMV.Doctor Doom still refer to the character, and the page is duplicated on ComicBook.Doctor Doom 2019. Also, ComicBook.Catwoman was redirected to Characters.Batman Catwoman, but we should really make a page for the four ongoing comic series and one limited series titled "Catwoman" at ComicBook.Catwoman (I doubt there's enough tropes for each series to have its own page).

Keet cleanupRegarding this...shouldn't the red link be the main link and the other link be a redirect?
CM Dates; CM Pending; CM DraftsNo Foolkiller got moved back to ComicBook.Foolkiller. Individual Foolkillers have been moved to Characters.Foolkiller.
It's gonna be fun on the bun!So I was talking to crazysamaritan about this but i wanted to collective's opinion.
Ive noticed that alot of sub character pages are usually labeled as allies or enemies i.e. Characters.Doctor Strange Allies and Characters.Doctor Strange Enemies. I was wondering if those are the best descriptions for them. I'm debating on whether or not allies should be supporting characters or something else and enemies should be maybe villains or rouges gallery or antagonists. What do you think works best narratively? What do you think works best?
It's gonna be fun on the bun!Catwoman, (Superman's Pal) James Olsen, and (Superman's Girl Friend) Lois Lane definitely deserve work pages in the ComicBook/ namespace. Besides cases like those three, I've been going through ImageSource.Comic Books and changing images that now list character pages as the source to the actual comic the image is from.
EDIT: There's now a ComicBook.Catwoman page about her self-titled comics.

Keet cleanuphello- apologies if ive missed something i havent read all 300 posts
When the Comic Book namespace has been changed to be about only the specific comic with that title, rather than the character, i think it would be best if there was a BIG, PROMINENT link at the top of the page to the character sheet. for example, the new page for ComicBook.Harley Quinn has only a small note, right at the bottom of the description, as part of a paragraph
unfortunately, people don't read the descriptions, and they will go to the most obvious page first. I feel that not making the link super obvious will just inevitably lead to people putting overall character tropes on the work page, it's unavoidable. It will need more cleanup later.
I think that most people who look for "Harley Quinn" are looking for the character, not the comic series, so we should make it clear where the character sheet is
Would it be ok if I added these?

I think that's a good idea, but we should wait until more people have a chance to give their input, at least so we can figure out how to standardize them.
Maybe something like:
This page is about the comic series. For the character themselves, see here.
i like that a lot! its very clear
Should be "For the character herself", as Harley is consistently female IIRC.
I had a dog-themed avatar before it was cool.In this specific case, yes, but Twiddler was providing a general template.
Yeah I'm down for that. Although with Harley Quinn shouldn't her character page be moved to her Characters sectin instead of linking to Batman Rouges Gallery? She hasn't really been exclusively a batman villain for awhile. Being in the Suicide Squad and having Multiple Solos.
It's gonna be fun on the bun!The fact that she doesn’t have a dedicated Characters/ section aside, the fact that she debuted in a Batman show and her relationship with the Joker makes her part of the Batman franchise.

SKREEEEEEEONK!Yeah I know shes a Batman character but i'm just saying move her character article to Characters.Harley Quinn and have her section on Characters.Batman Rogues Gallery Part 1 redirect to it or create a Characters.Batman Harley Quinn page.
It's gonna be fun on the bun!Gatestar, it appears you forgot there is a Character Page cleanup, which now measures pages using a byte counter: 40k bytes are necessary if a character is to get their own page.
This means that under the official rules, Harley cannot have a page, since her article only has 33k bytes. We can’t use subjectives like "importance" or "franchise" anymore, and now we must think objectively.
SKREEEEEEEONK!
So which ones in particular? That statement’s pretty vague.
Also, happy 300 posts! (Obvious reference is obvious)
