For those of you wondering why the first post has a red link, the original page has been deleted due to the page having a hyphenated title, which have been phased out years ago, something I was not aware of.
The storm has now resided, the wolf now rests.Conceptually this looks like Shonen Anime: The Animation (generic highschool loser gains cool robo-mecha-whatever powers, meets Type A tsundere, both fight villain and his evil robuts). Surprisingly good animation, though.
I guess this is just an OVA, or something? Surely they can't make a full series with only ~$70k.
Cyber Connect 2 is doing animation assistance with the kickstarter people to make it a full length series.
Watch SymphogearI'm gonna post the official summary of the plot from the japanese crowdfunding site. Mind you, my Japanese sucks, so there's bound to be mistake:
100 years ago, there were a race of mechanical lifeform who originally lived in another dimension, but when the energy called "Albitorium", which is needed to sustain their life, have been exhausted in their dimension, they decided to cross over to earth where Albitorium is abundant. In order to withstand dimensional transcendence, they all shrunk their body until only their arm (ude) is left. After arriving on earth, they survive by coexisting with other organisms. People started to call them "Mecha-Ude" due to their appearance.
In modern times, A sealed mechanical cube containing a mecha-ude were stolen from the research facility of the conglomerate "Kagami group" and presumed lost. An ordinary junior high school student, Hikaru Amatsuga, accidentally found the cube and managed to open it's seal. The cube contains a mecha-ude called "Arma" who has been hibernating for a 100 year. Arma proceed to parasitize Hikaru's body, and thus, their bizarre shared life begins .
ARMS is an organization formed to fight against the Kagami group. They are investigating a series of incidents where Mecha-Udes have been taken away from their host, which as it turns out, will eventually kill the host. They believe that the Kagami group is responsible for this.
Arma, who is targeted by the Kagami group, is assigned an escort by ARMS, a girl named Aki Murasame who has her own Mecha-ude, the twins, Sinis and Dex. Aki felt that whoever is targeting Hikaru and Arma is someone she has fought before. To confirm the truth, Aki embarks on an investigation by herself, ignoring her superior's order. Hikaru and Arma eventually get involved in it.
Deciding that the fastest way would be by interrogating every Mecha-Ude host in town, Aki departs for a brutal investigation, accompanied by Hikaru and Arma.

When I read "ARMS" while glancing that post real quick I thought I was on the Super Smash Bros. forum for a second.
Link to video have been released to backers only. I've got to say I really enjoyed it. It's standard shonen to be honest, but still very well done, the characters are likable and the animation is really great. The action scenes especially are outstanding IMO, the 2D and 3D animation meshes really well. The concept of the mecha-ude themselves are also very interesting. Would be really interested to see more of the settings. Oh, and the music is great. Whether it's the BGM, OP or ED, all pretty awesome. Overall, 8 out of 10 for me, very solid. Really hope Okamoto-Sensei can make this into a full series, the sketches during the ending looks really exciting.

Sae Okamoto, the creator of 11:08
has opened up a Kickstarter on her first anime project "MECHA-UDE", which you can check out here.
I've made a TV Tropes page about it, you can improve it if you want.
