Yesterday, it rained in the morning. Now it looks like a blizzard hit.
"Listen up, Marina, because this is SUPER important. Whatever you do, don't eat th“ “DON'T EAT WHAT?! Your text box ran out of space!”Once again, it's only 41 outside and I already had to switch from the heater to the cooler.
Pinkie Pie and flugelhorns are a bad combination. The wind was blowing quite strongly today, and now it's been blowing enough to make eerie sounds through the walls and the trees. It feels like tornado season is getting a head start.
Pinkie Pie and flugelhorns are a bad combination.Something similar is happening here in Trondheim.
"Listen up, Marina, because this is SUPER important. Whatever you do, don't eat th“ “DON'T EAT WHAT?! Your text box ran out of space!”Climate science really doesn't know shit about what it's talking about. There I said it.
They predicted a dry March this year and this past weekend we must've had at least a foot of heavy wet snow (cumulatively, it never piled that high owing to melting and settling, about 8 inches deep at highest) and the week before that we had almost 3/4 inch of rain with a dash of snow.
Now it's snowing again and is coming down quite hard. There's a prediction of upwards of four days straight of rain and snow (though not continuously) for next week on top of this already.
By my count we've already long exceeded normal snowpack (typically 60-72 inches, we've had about 75) for the season and we're about to tip over the normal rainfall for the month of March (2 inches).
And I cannot complain one bit. I'm loving the wet patterns right now. Dropping the fire danger like a stone and it means we just might make it to summer without running out of water in the local reservoirs. I just hope the summer monsoon shows up strong too.
And they predicted a La Niña pattern this year. It's been nothing like one.

"Allah may guide their bullets, but Jesus helps those who aim down the sights."Just yesterday I was working outside for two hours in what looked and felt like a blizzard. x_x
Update for today: Aw nuts, no 80 degree St. Patrick's Day again. :(

Pinkie Pie and flugelhorns are a bad combination. One time I watched a YouTube video of a school getting destroyed by a tornado. I think I’m seeing that school right now on the Weather Channel.
Pinkie Pie and flugelhorns are a bad combination.Weather has been super-weird today. One minute, it's super-sunny, and the next the rain is pouring down, followed by sleet and then hail.
Really hard to tell what's gonna come next.
My AO3 profile. Let sleeping cats lie and be cute and calming. My mom and I just agreed that the weather in this part of Missouri looks and feels so great, it’s hard to believe that there’s going to be a storm later.
Pinkie Pie and flugelhorns are a bad combination.I'm Canadian and I don't mind winter. You can dress up to adapt to the cold temperatures. Summer? Dressing in shorts and sandals isn't going to help you deal with 40 degree heat and ungodly levels of humidity.
You just so eloquently described why I prefer extreme cold to extreme heat.
If it's cold, you can at least put on more clothes if you're freezing. When it's hot, there's a limit to the amount of clothing you can remove before it becomes indecent exposure. And even then, it might not help.
My AO3 profile. Let sleeping cats lie and be cute and calming.One of the prizes on tonight’s episode of Wheel of Fortune is a vacation to Vermont. I was freezing just watching it. x_x ^_^;;
Pinkie Pie and flugelhorns are a bad combination.^^ Amusingly enough, when dealing with heat there's an old farmer's trick that works exceptionally well in my neck of the woods when outside.
Wear long sleeve shirts, long pants, a good wide brimmed hat and pack plenty of water. You won't sunburn or overheat or be covered in bug bites like from mosquitoes.
It works even in temps as high as 40C (104F). It works exceptionally well in dealing with lesser heat but much easier sunburns high in the mountains here. I've even tested it in tropical environments and it works. I used that method in Hawaii at 30C and 80% plus humidity and while I was probably the only one on Oahu doing that, I never sunburned or overheated.
"Allah may guide their bullets, but Jesus helps those who aim down the sights."Once again I’m hit with opposite-ness. Back in my mom’s part of Missouri, it was storming all night and it switched to a beautiful sunny day. :) Now I’m back in Illinois and it’s raining again. x_x
Pinkie Pie and flugelhorns are a bad combination.I hate bulky clothes tho.
SoundCloudIt was a sunny 20 C today. I woke up early, feel back asleep, and woke up in the afternoon. It's calling for rain the next 3 days.
I have good news and bad news.
The good news is it's nice and sunny and it feels surprisingly warmer than just 57-58. :)
The bad news is a great multitude of allergens are also out and about. x_x
Pinkie Pie and flugelhorns are a bad combination.I like it better when it is cloudy, since my eyes are really senitive to strong lights.
"Listen up, Marina, because this is SUPER important. Whatever you do, don't eat th“ “DON'T EAT WHAT?! Your text box ran out of space!”The weather in my part of Illinois is on a roller coaster again. Which in turn makes me look at the weather in the five cities in Florida I would like to live in and sigh sadly as I read them.
Pinkie Pie and flugelhorns are a bad combination. It’s gonna snow tonight in southern Colorado. It snowed Friday and Saturday last week too. And it’s looking to have more later this week! With thunderstorms possible this Friday.
It’s being a lovely April and yet three weeks from now we’ll begin baking in the heat of summer.
"Allah may guide their bullets, but Jesus helps those who aim down the sights."Woke up to about 2-3 inches of snow with a bit icy roads this morning. Going to work is going to be fun today.
"Allah may guide their bullets, but Jesus helps those who aim down the sights."Feeling you on that. Yesterday, we had 10 degrees Celsius and some sun, and the weather for all of last week was great and fairly warm... though the weather forecast did speak of incoming sleet, but that's still some rain, at least.
So what do I wake up to today?
Why, a goddamn snow storm, of course! I like winter, don't get me wrong, but I'm so sick of these constant extreme shifts in weather. Pick a temperature and stick to it, goddamnit!

My AO3 profile. Let sleeping cats lie and be cute and calming.I got some patches of light snow today, and so did my mom in her new home state of Missouri. Elsa, what are you doing? >.<
Pinkie Pie and flugelhorns are a bad combination. It snowed today, but it has melted away.

Believe it or not, I'm wearing shorts and no socks in February.
