Finally! Tomorrow I have an eye doctor appointment during cloudy weather.
It's been hot lately, with temperatures in the 90s yesterday and today, but at least it'll finally start cooling off on Thursday!
At least it was only in the mid-80s on Saturday, when I went to Six Flags. It was also a particularly sunny day, but luckily we were able to stay out of direct sunlight for the most part.
Cold turkey's getting stale. Tonight I'm eating crow.Still hot. But the last of summer’s heat is about to dissipate. Rumor is starting Saturday we’re going to be dropping upwards of 20 degrees Fahrenheit in terms of daytime highs. From mid-90’s now to mid-70’s next week.
And a lot of signs in nature are pointing to an early winter so I don’t expect autumn weather to last more than a few weeks at most.
Well, it's been raining a lot today, and a lot of my area is under a flash flood warning.
With the (rather large) puddles we've been driving through today, I'll believe it.
Cold turkey's getting stale. Tonight I'm eating crow.Rained yesterday. My readings in my rain gauge this month are so far north of 3 inches. Significantly above what is expected for September.
That said we’re still in a dry side of things because the monsoon this summer was very weak.
Also there has already been snow on the mountains right next to me.
It's finally supposed to cool off tomorrow! (The rain we're supposed to start getting this evening might have to do with that.)
Cold turkey's getting stale. Tonight I'm eating crow.I have officially switched from air conditioning to heating.
Come on! Let's bless them all until we get fershnickered! It happened - it's cold hands season. I'm sitting in my room and my hands are cold for no reason.
The temperatures seem to mostly be in the 50 degree range this week. Funny, considering last weekend I was dealing with temperatures in the upper 80s... just another fall in the Midwest, I guess.
Cold turkey's getting stale. Tonight I'm eating crow.Speaking of cold hands:
We're up in our family cabin, and the first snow has arrived! Which is probably not a good sign since it's early October, but we'll see how long it lasts.
Anyway, the weather is nice now, so the outside is positively glistening!
My AO3 profile. Let sleeping cats lie and be cute and calming.Supposed to rain on and off for the next several days.
Hopefully it won't rain too hard on Saturday evening/night - I have an outdoor event I'm going to. I mean, I've got an umbrella in case that happens anyway, but still.
Cold turkey's getting stale. Tonight I'm eating crow.I'm also going to have rain all weekend.
Speaking of which, how's this for hilarious irony? It was cold, dark, and eerie with a strong rainstorm going on and off while I was having my Halloween fun last night, and now it's nice and sunny outside.

Come on! Let's bless them all until we get fershnickered!I’m wondering when snow is finally going to show up. We aren’t behind much on rain or rather precipitation in general for this month or at least not greatly behind but we’ve been having frosts and freezes and snow is the only thing left of approaching winter we haven’t yet had outside the mountains.
I'm coming up with a list of activities to make the spring and summer of 2024 a lot more fun and lively than the ones this year have been. I've been pondering about something to do on the first day of spring. I still remember that one year, it was already 80 on St. Patrick's Day. ![]()
It's one of my favorite memories of spending time with my grandma. :)
Ironically, I have plenty of options for some good indoor fun just in case I don't have that good luck again. ^_^;; Either the Field Museum, the Shedd Aquarium, the Museum of Science and Industry, maybe Medieval Times if they're having a show that day...
Come on! Let's bless them all until we get fershnickered! It’s only 61 as of right now, but it looks and especially feels a shell of a lot nicer.
I just looked at the 10 day forecast and looks like I'm getting snow on Halloween. I guess not just stores are waiting for the spookiness to end before sending in the Chrimbo troops.
Get taxed. Idiot.

Hearing thunder outside my window, when I have to get groceries and take out the trash while getting over a cold. It's gonna be one of those days.
