Colder 10C (50F) high, light rain, fog, cloudy all day.
Night and day difference from summer temps two weeks ago. October is a thermal cliff in Colorado. Very little transition time from summer to winter.
There’s a storm next week that the tv weathermen are saying is supposed to be only rain in my parts but the temps in the forecast are close enough that I’m expecting potential snow. Maybe a freeze. We will see however.
It’s going to be in the mid 60s on Monday, Halloween. Which got me pondering: when was the warmest Halloween in the history of Illinois, and how warm did it get?
Come on! Let's bless them all until we get fershnickered! The weather is quite cooperative for Halloween this year. There’s an eerie mist everywhere. ![]()
Where I am, on the other hand, the winds are blowing very strongly, and it’s going to stay like that until some time between 7 and 8:00 tonight.
The dark and cloudy weather is adding to the eerie atmosphere.
How I wish I was at home, working on my writing. What better way to warm up than with writing about fun summertime vacation stuff in Alberta? ;)
Come on! Let's bless them all until we get fershnickered!I can vouch for the winds. Power went out four times in 45 minutes. Luckily, it seems to have stopped.
Get taxed. Idiot. It's the same where I am. Tomorrow, Thursday (especially Thursday), and Friday are going to be quite comfortable, and then it's going to crash into the 30s on Saturday. x_x
Come on! Let's bless them all until we get fershnickered!Severe weather whiplash.
Yesterday, it was 21ºC (70ºF) and mostly sunny. Today, we're having thunderstorms all day long and a fairly constant 15ºC (59ºF). From tomorrow onward, it won't get warmer than 8ºC (46ºF) and it will dip below freezing every night.

He/they | Mostly here on my free daysI’m pondering about when I should turn my humidifier on again.
Come on! Let's bless them all until we get fershnickered!Got the first snow of the season today! Sure, most of it melted straight away, but the temperatures are dropping even here.
And when we were driving home from the office today, Dad and I noticed exactly where the air has been dry and where it turned wet/warmer, because there was almost a perfect divide of snow and grass. It was so surreal to see a forested mountain top covered in a thin layer of snow and seeing precisely where the temperature changed. Not even a gradient - Just a perfectly straight line.
My AO3 profile. Let sleeping cats lie and be cute and calming.^ I find those situations highly amusing.
I find the similar ones on the mountain where you have snow all the way up but there’s a clean line, not a gradient showing one half of the mountain got fresh and noticeably heavier snow than the other side of the line even more amusing.
Usually when it happens here it’s the lower half of the mountain getting more because it was a super cold and low altitude storm.
And speaking of snow, it’s snowing where I’m at in Colorado. Three inches at home, an inch and change at work, temps still below 20F (-7C).
I knew it was going to rain all day. I wasn’t expecting it to upgrade to a thunderstorm.
Looks like the big snowstorm that's coming Thursday might have moved because I went from getting anywhere from 6-10 inches of snow to anywhere from 1-3 inches.
Get taxed. Idiot. The weather app on my phone keeps saying the snowstorm I’m going to get on Thursday is between an 80% to 100% chance. :S
Come on! Let's bless them all until we get fershnickered!I'm in No Co, it's five in the morning and I really need my caffeine fix. I currently have a paralyzing fear of looking out the window right now because of the suggested snowstorm, which my bird brain thought was happening today for some reason.

So how much snow are we all supposed to get? I heard that for my area, it got downgraded from a foot or two to maybe half a foot at the most.
Come on! Let's bless them all until we get fershnickered!

It’s sunny but cold where I am. x_x
