Lucas... wasn't sure what else to say. He wasn't sure what Masterful had meant when they said they were surprised to see a diversity of pilots from Elysian (though he could guess it wasn't exactly a compliment with how they said it), and he didn't have anything particularly nice to say about the current state of things in Meridian. So he just kept quiet.
At least, he did, until someone decided to cause trouble. He didn't fully catch what happened, other than mentions of a red carpet, a robotic voice calling someone a "douchebag" (whatever that meant), and a threat to turn a robot servant into scrap metal.
"...The hell just happened?" he finally said, a hint of irritation in his voice.

Zae smiled discreetly at the little bit of mischief she called before watching the pompous new student show up. She tilted her head towards his mannerisms and his attitude toward her new friend of 3 minutes, and decided to greet him simply.
She made sure to greet him in sign, giving a wave, and then following up with a sign of putting her hands into fists and clicking the insides of her wrists together vertically.
LOKE, MAYA AND CHESHIRE
"Good-I tend to for-" the giantess turned and stared, awkwardly at the newcomer. She pursed her lips. "Poor thing..." She said. "Look at him, he's spent his whole life in a cage..." Loke didn't sound sarcastic. She sounded sad and her voice was full of pity.
She quietly watched him, her pity growing.

Good to be backMaya, Loke and Cheshire
"Cheshire...nice to meet you. I'm Maya."
No extension of a hand for a handshake, yet it didn't seem like Maya was being intentionally unfriendly, judging by the hesitant look on her face. She looked at the newcomer as well, a thoughtful look crossing her face.
"Trapped in a cage, huh? That is quite sad..."
There's a tinge of pain in her words, and her eyes soften a bit.
ARMOR Docks
The man exited the restroom, his hands slightly dripping water. Anyone nearing the lavatory would notice a....strong odor...coming from inside of it. As he scans the hanger, he notices the gathering near the organic ship. Cocking his head, he starts to move toward the group.
The measure of a man is not his courage, but rather the size of his gun.Jace composed himself.
"It's just a carpet. Let it go...
He stepped over the roll and the carpet retracted back into the limo.
Good luck, asshat.
"WHAT?!?"
The robot driver quickly closed to door and rode off.
"...Great. One of Father's practical jokes. I'll remember to bury him in a shoebox after he croaks."
He looked at the strange hand movements Zae was doing. Puzzled he turned to Elaine expectedly.
"Right, translation?"
GIVE ME YOUR FACE"Oh" Cheshire whispered back
Cheshire quickly glanced over the new boy. He didn't seem like he be anything great. Well Cheshire didn't think he match up to the other two girls with her.
"Think he going to be a good polite?" , she add.
They can't for the life of them understand why nobody liked being ruled by a group of manic depressive demigods - 4chanElaine shrugged. "I dunno, I'm from a galaxy over. I don't know sign language and even if I did it probably wouldn't be the same sign language. The two of us have been playing Charades to try to communicate. I have no idea what she's saying to you."
Though I have a few guesses... She thought to herself.
-dramatic music ensues-Docks
Zae gave a small shrug at Jace's inability to understand her sign language, and shook her head. She pulled out her tablet once more, and typed out on it. <"Actually, truth be told, sign langauge is trangly universal considering the nature of the language. And to you>" She points at Jace, and then types out again. <"I was greeting you, oh so graciously."> She made a very exaggerated show of curtsying, which looked rather strange in her tomboyish attire, and the cocky, obviously smartass filled smile on her face.

Kaylid nods to D'Angelo with a friendly look. "Glad you hear from her alot, mine's really busy with work so I rarely get the chance." Kaylid opens up responding some more before the scene with the red carpet unfolds. He just stares on in a bit of disbeleif that this actually was going on but after the comments from both Zae and his driver go off Kaylid just started laughing aloud, unable to control himself in this regard. Accidentally bumping his head on the terminal behind.
I was waiting for Mistfader

The drone quietly chirped happily to itself every time more facts were uncovered, but got distracted by the... Authoritative individual, to the degree of swiveling to stare at them. After giving up on waiting for Kaylid's laughter to die down (approximately 0.7 seconds after he bumped his head, not that it noticed that), it piped up with another question for its 'peers'. "Query. May this individual be confirmed as a student?"
ARMOR Docks
Maya remains silent, though she does seem a bit sad at the whole discussion of not being able to grow up for yourself. She hugs herself a bit, and takes a deep breath with her eyes closed.
A voice booms through the docks, overpowering the din of all the other noise. All the help terminal screens blank, replaced by a smiling robotic face
◊.
"Attention all students and visitors! Welcome to the Academy for Robots, Mecha Operators and Recruits, also known as ARMOR! I am ARMOR Core, ARMOR's chief Artifical Intelligence, and on behalf of Principal Abre and all the rest of the staff, we hope you have a productive and enlightening year here! All new students are to please report to the ARMOR Store to receive their standard communicator/HUD device implants and will receive further instruction upon implantation. All other students are to please report to Hall B. Have a nice day!"
The screens flicker off, and the face fades away with a grin. Maya looks at Loke and Cheshire.
"Well...looks like we need to get going."
Between the carpet, the rich boy, and Kaylid bonking his head, D'Angelo also started laughing. All the nerves had run through his body, and now there was just him being himself. "Well, considering the racket he made, I hope so." Hearing the announcement, he stood up, but held an arm out for Kaylid.
"You okay to head out? If you need a hand, you got it."

"Y-Yeah, heh, i'm good." Kaylid responds still laughing a little more, encouraged by D'Angelo, taking his hand though to help pull himself up. "He seems like a student, A pompously rich one." He responds grabbing his stuff and rubbing the back of his head, now feeling where he hit it, though it wasn't serious."Should probably get our stuff, the map said the store is this way." Kaylid continued pointing in the direction of the store, a much more relaxed look on his face even if he clearly disproved of Jace's entrance.

"After time adrift among open stars, along tides of light and through shoals of dust, I will return to where I began."LOKE, MAYA AND CHESHIRE
"Can't answe that." She told Cheshire. "Maybe? I'm just saying he f-" Loke paused as she noticed Maya, frowning as she did. Maybe that was a bit close to home for the girl...
Suddenly, the smiley faces and announcements happened. Loke nodded and followed her two friends. "I liked the smiley faces. That was cute!"
Good to be back"Yeah let getting going", Cheshire replied as put her arm around Maya.
Cheshire followed along and stared at the mech still being load, and some of the other student.
"You ok Maya?"
They can't for the life of them understand why nobody liked being ruled by a group of manic depressive demigods - 4chanSer Masterful's eye quickly swiveled around to watch the little episode unfold behind them, then returned to Nagase. They could handle all of that later; they could have sworn they saw a child on the dock, but perhaps they were simply a short Human.
Then their head swiveled up to stare straight at the PA system announcing this whole communicator deal. Then, not heeding it at all, Ser Masterful turned back to the Nagases. "I appreciate that you are staying posted about the situation back on your home planet, and it might be prudent for me to stay abreast as well. It would be fantastic to actually visit your planet to witness and participate in the lively negotiations and debates. Or, alternatively, the civil war." They held up their hands. "I am a flexible construct and would be excited for either."

The message gave the drone pause for thought. Failing to see how upgrading an expendable scout drone would help much, it briefly considered mustering what few broadcast frequencies it had to send a query regarding whether synthetic individuals will be upgraded before remembering it was told to not annoy the high-ranking staff. Lacking information on what would annoy the cheery entity, it hedged its bets.
With that waste of processing cycles complete, it turned back to its new acquaintances with a rather curt message. "Ready."
D'Angelo looked over the group and imagined the sight it must be. On one hand, there was him, a tall dreadlocked man dressed like he was on his way to a formal function. On the other, a small, slight kid who looked ready for his first day at boarding school. And on the back of all that? A drone who was trying to work out how to meet and talk with people properly. D'Angelo couldn't help but widen his grin. This is officially the strangest crew I've run with, and I haven't even been here an entire day.
"Alright then guys, let's get this thing started." And with that, turned and strode to the store.
ARMOR Docks
Kaylid see D'Angelo start to move sets off as well, cautiously looking around as the group moved at the various other students and groups.. He was rather self-conscious of all thesame things D'Angelo was thinking about just leaving him a little uneasy as they moved. He tried to distract himself by just talking with his teammates."Do you guys have much experience, piloting that is?" He questions hesitantly not knowing what the response would be.

The drone followed near-instantaneously, silent until Kaylid starts asking questions. "I have been piloting for 4 years. Is this considered 'much'?" It turns to face him, floating backwards. It seems to still have not learnt to be careful about crashing into others. Or it just doesn't care, either/or.

"Yeah, yeah, yeah." Elaine replied waving him back with a brushing motion. "Don't get impatient." She kicked the red carpet off her foot and back towards him. "And maybe watch where you roll out your carpet next time? There are people walking here, not like there's unlimited room."
