I just looked; it's still at the bottom of the page.
◊ For me, at least; I'm using an iPhone 5S with Chrome. Got a screenshot of your page footers?

"Jack, you have debauched my sloth."This is Chrome vs Firefox: https://i.reddituploads.com/a3e2e908b34349639ccc7ca51a7294d2?fit=max&h=1536&w=1536&s=097a279cab6ccb6b632554910a0c64e7
It's my Firefox desktop view addon somehow.
Chrome shows the footer with the switcher link, Firefox does if my useragent is Android, but if I fake being on a Windows PC it still sends me to the mobile site but without the link in the footer.
If I check request desktop site in Chrome it does send me to the desktop site but I noticed there's no link in the footer to switch back to the mobile site, you have to uncheck the box in Chrome's menu.
So it seems like maybe TV Tropes only shows the link on certain browsers or devices, maybe based on whether the user has a request desktop site option, but addons that change that behaviour messes it up?
Or maybe it's not sending me the link because it sees my useragent is a desktop PC but it's still sending me the mobile site because it detects touch? AFAIK mobile Firefox has no way to view source so I can't see what's in the TV Tropes with no switcher in the footer only Firefox gets.

I think before 1.3 there was a link on every page's footer to switch to the desktop site, I can't find it anywhere now, has it been removed or just moved?
Firefox's "request desktop site" checkbox only lasts that session, but the old TV Tropes link persisted.
