The word magic implies the concept magic. Surely magic are used to hand wave something, but that's why there are things that is not magic when they are used for hand waving. Such hand waving are used to avoid controversy, get crap past the radar and avoid Anti magic. Examples include Applied Phlebotinum, the force in Star Wars, aura and dust im RWBY and mutant power in Marvel. A solution is to emphasize the use of magic in the text. Or generalize it and merge it into hand wave.

This is just "I don't like the name." To make a good TRS topic, you must make a case that the existing name is misleading or misused by citing examples that are incorrect or by giving some examples that could be added but are not.
