I saw a theory about Trundle in its WMG page paralleling Bill, so why not? I hope the former's crimes will be fleshed out more in that upcoming movie which is going to make him worse than his graphic novel counterpart. If he really intended to kill himself just to awaken Amma below Trolberg and get her to attack the humans for attacking her children with a sadistic glee on his face, that should be his Moral Event Horizon.
I'm gonna bluntly say that the Hilda showrunners copying Gravity Falls is a bad idea. If they need to add stuff for the runtime, they can easily just give scenes to the characters who have already had a ton of extra scenes. Hell, have the Raven show up.
Hilda has some vague similarities to Gravity Falls, but the actual tone and style are radically different and making the final antagonist a really obvious lift of Bill Cypher diminishes Hilda and makes it less itself. Not to mention that Luke Pearson has no voice acting experience. Alex Hirsch did before he did Gravity Falls. If they really think he's a good enough actor to play the villain then, sure, whatever, but I really doubt that. If he really wanted to play a character, he probably would have played one in the first season, before they knew if they would be getting renewed.
An idea that's a fun concept isn't the same as an idea that would actually work in practice. Hilda doesn't do complete monster villains. The closest the show got was Victoria von Gale and even she had an actual motivation with theoretically good goals, just really shaky morals and an inability to predict the consequences.
Me too. And I have even more reason because Hilda won hard at the Annie Awards!
Scoring the third most amount of nominations (so top three right alongside Pixar's Soul and Cartoon Saloon's Wolfwalkers), Hilda scored:
- Best TV/Media - Children for "Chapter 9: The Deerfox"
- Best Character Animation - TV/Media
- Best Editorial - TV/Media for "Chapter 9: The Deerfox"

Finally, after being in my list of pending things to watch, I have seen the two seasons.
I loved it! Hilda is aesthetically precious, and the setting and characters remained me of other series like Gravity Falls and Over the Garden Wall. A bit more directed to children than these two though, which is cool because sometimes I thought they were scenes a little too intense for little kids (obviously, I loved them too, nevermind that).
Also, really liked the Scandinavian and viking mhytology, but with their own twist that the show uses.
What more can I say? I can't wait for the special and the third season
The website of Silvergate Media gives the title for the movie. It's called Hilda And The Mountain King.

For a while, searching "Hilda" on Netlix would bring up "Hilda and the Mountain King" as a suggested term. I think that no longer works, though.

As someone who really liked Hilda and the Mountain King, I'm definitely looking forward to seeing how the animated adaptation looks like, especially since it'll probably star more characters than the original comic did.
"I squirm, I struggle, ergo I am. Faced with death, I am finally, truly alive."
I don't know if it's final, but Frida's VA had an Instagram story that had a script from season 3.
Oh wait! I found an article from Silvergate Media saying there will be a third season!
Oh, thank God!

Because it would be fun.
