Bubuki Buranki 2nd Season: I am still not a fan of the CGI animation and the sister is as annoying as I thought she would be but the Bubuki designs are still cool and a like the crippled English girl. The Taiwanese Heart is a jerk though.
Touken Ranbu: Hanamaru: A bit more comedic that I thought it was going to be and the budget seems a little low but the fight scenes were reasonably good.
Touken Ranbu: Hanamura: Little bit of action, quite a bit of comedy, about what I was expecting. Only complain I really have is that Saniwa is The Ghost.
Only sometimes postsTable tennis: Yeah, no. The source material is decent, but the anime is low-budget, poorly directed, and changed things for the worse
Trickster: It's as campy as the last Edogawa Ranpo anime, just unintentionally this time. Some neat visuals but this isn't really enough to make up for feeling like it's a 15-year-old's first story. Not going to follow unless this season turns out much worse than I'm expecting
But is it as BAD as the last Ranpo thing? Because that was just asinine in pretending to be more than a trashy and misguided adaptation.
OH GOD WHY AM I A CAR!? - ForzareIn trying to insert "cool and hip" and "actualizing" into the story it completely undermined the tone and form of mystery. There is also that trap character, who was a shallow attempt at pandering and had near no personality. I said it somewhere before, but if the detective and the class rep had been the protagonists the series might have actually worked.
OH GOD WHY AM I A CAR!? - ForzareIndeed. I'll admit to not watching the whole thing, but I'm fairly certain that not wasting my time with it was the correct choice.
OH GOD WHY AM I A CAR!? - ForzareSoushin Shoujo Matoi: This isn't going to be worth following. Meh animation and no interesting hooks. The dads don't help.
This season has Raising Project, Vivid Strike, Matoi, and Flip Flappers for magical girls. I'd put Wixoss in that category too unless it's extremely different from the first series, and you could make a case for Izetta if you wanted. We've got a mahou shoujo overload all of a sudden.
Matoi: Tonal issues. Sometimes it's a goofy comedy and sometimes it's dark fantasy, with the result that it's hard to really buy into either. Also, don't like the art style. Not planning to follow
Nanbaka: Pretty decent, though it's attempts at seriousness toward the end don't really work. One for the "If I'm short on things I'm actually into" pile
Mahou Shoujo Ikusei Keikaku: A pretty interesting first episode, even if it was very meta. A magical girl anime fan who becomes a magical gir through a smartphone game about magical girls. Also, one of the girls is a guy. It will probably get pretty dark soon, but that's not surprise in the post Madoka genre. .
i guess I want to mention it here, but I decided to create a trope page for Nobunaga no Shinobi under the name of Ninja Girl & Samurai Master. If anyone wants to help me edit it, go ahead.

Kaiju Girls: Not as horrible as these shorts can be, but not really funny, either
Izetta: Good! Action, bit of politics, strong animation, good music. Ridiculous enough to be entertaining but nuanced enough to have depth. I mean, so far
MahoIku: My word, Snow White is adorable. So, uh, well enough made but not much has happened yet. Will give at least a few more episodes
Vivid Strike: Nope. The writing is mediocre and the animation is worse. I'm not sure what the point of bringing back a franchise is if you're going to retool it (alienating existing fans) and put no effort into it (alienating everyone else)
Hm, the subtitles seem much more fansub-ish this season
