I don't get see it getting worse than bittersweet. I mean, Peter and his whole cynical ideology just lost. The Moms turned against him because a system based on fear and self-interest falls apart when a better option presents itself, and Leuvis singlehandedly demolished the justification for the farm system out of - it's implied - respect for the humans that wrecked him. Emma's belief in empathy and idealism and cross-species relationships was borne out once again. If humans can be as bad as demons, that also means that demons can be as good as humans.

Hmmm… I sighed a bit when it seemed like we were heading toward yet another "Queen was bad? Get a new queen!" conclusion. Buuut at least there's some acknowledgement that citizens can't just blindly entrust everything to the rulers. It's more than we usually get.
So far so good for everyone… but we still don't know what Emma's side of the deal was.
The last few loose ends, then, are if they can learn from Adam how to save the other Lambda kids, if Emma lied to Ray when she said her side of the deal was no problem, and what the hell are we going to do about those mass-produced children, especially the ones over three who are starting to lose brain cell connection.
Indeed.
Redemption Equals Death, always…
A bit cliché as a post-climax development, but I guess not all demons running the farms were gonna comply quietly.
My guess is that Scribbles and Emma switched places/bodies. She had to lie otherwise her family wouldn't accept the new "Emma," but now Scribbles gets the new home and love that Emma's been working for, while Emma is now trapped and alone with the knowledge that her loved ones are safe and happy.
Does anyone actually read these? My guess is Scribbles knows that Emma won't be able to stay with her family in the human world. Even though they've been functioning as adults ever since the escape arc, Emma, Ray and Norman are only 13-14. They aren't old enough to live on their own, let alone have custody of the younger children. This is besides the fact that they're bound to have problems from Undead Tax Exemption.

@Druplesnubb Not out of nowhere. There was implications Leuvis was still alive.
