Naomi: Honestly I have no idea how you're going to pay for that. I just use my spinal tap to do it.
I think we're paid in gold? You might be able to just bring some gold bullion down.
"Seven is here too, dressed like the concept of choosing clothes that look nice together was an arcane secret far beyond their grasp."—Artoiras frowns, dismissing the spear—
@Eurybe: I see. It seems no matter the place, hatred or fear will lead to battle with some otherworldly race. A true shame. I've sometimes wondered what it would be like to actually ride atop a dragon, though I dared not speak the thought among my friends.
—Artorias huffs, a bit deflated at the thought—
'If you fall seven times, stand up eight.' The cry of the Undead.Eurybe: ...Believe it or not, I have had humans ask to ride on my back before. It was quite strange. ._.
Anyways... from what I've gathered from this planet, dragons in other realms are not "intelligent", in the sense they are not capable of speaking with humans. Is that true in your world as well, or are there exceptions?
—Artorias sits down on his bed. This is gonna take a while—
@Eurybe: Actually you could argue the Immortal dragons were intelligent, in a sense. They never changed, never took action, but they did react to our movements, and while you could argue they were just wild beasts, an opinion I agree with, some humans did build entire religions around the last of the creatures. While I do not know if they ever communicated, it was said that bonds could be forged between man and dragon, forming some, quasi-draco hybrid. If those are the closest man could come to dragons, perhaps they did possess some intelligence to pass their secrets on.
So, to answer your question, no I do not think they were intelligent, but it debatable if they were merely dumb beasts. Seathe became a scholar, meaning they must have had some ability to read and write if he could. Anyways, how were giants seen in your world?

'If you fall seven times, stand up eight.' The cry of the Undead.Eurybe: The humans who have spent time amongst us generally regard us as equals. The issue is there are some who have never met one of our kind, and they go on to form the false belief that we are brutish or primitive because of our size, our way of life, or something else along those lines.

Hathor: Oh, hello. I believe we were in the middle of talking?

—Artorias frowns at Eurybe's words—
@Eurybe: I know how that can affect someone. One of my closest friends was a giant, and people mocked and looked down on him for being such. He was one of the wisest and most jovial people I ever knew, as well as being a crack shot. I swear he could thread an apple off an eagle's head in flight without killing it. I wish you could've met him.
'If you fall seven times, stand up eight.' The cry of the Undead.Ling: Hmmmm. They say that imposing your will is a matter of strength, but I think that whoever taught you did so in a very half-baked fashion.
-She lightly sets down her staff and touches her feet upon the floor-
There is another important factor for people attempting to brute force magic in that manner. It's called "Law", if I must use a simple word for it.

Naomi: Well, if you're not carrying an electronic wallet... you are gonna have to go home and get it.
