Ling: Necromancy is communion with the spirits of the dead, not the coercion of them. If you wanted someone who did that, you should ask a diabolist. No, necromancy deals with using the wisdom of those who came before to grant you strength and strength over the living or of affairs only they can handle.
It's really quite fun once you get to know the limitations of both the living and the dead and see how much stronger they can be when combined, yannow~
We Are Our Avatars Forever (Now on Discord by invitation, PM)@Eurybe: There is a special resin I have back in my room. I don't have much of it and given my weapon's durability I usually find it unnecessary, but I always carry some just in case I need it. My kind fashioned it from a special tree that produces a golden-shining sap. Come, I'll show you.
—He gestures for Eurybe to follow as he heads to his room—
'If you fall seven times, stand up eight.' The cry of the Undead.—Eventually they come to the door for Artorias's room. It's emblazoned with a stylized wolf head, it's eye sockets and bared fangs a constant ward against intruders to be weary of entering. However to Artorias it is a reminder of his loyal companion Sif, and a reminder of his homeland.—
—He opens the door to a room that resembles more of an alchemist's laboratory, with bobbles and glass cylinders over controlled flames bubbling mixtures of shifting colors to one side, and a box of minimal size from which he pulls all manner of trinkets and knick-knacks from in his spare time. He reaches into the box and begins pulling out mosses, flowers, glowing skulls and shining prism stones as he sifts around—
"Come on, I know it's in here somewhere. Don't make me look a fool now you blasted thing."

@Eurybe: Not a potionmaker per se, but I've found without a line connecting me to my Lord Gwyn, Estus no longer heals my wounds. I've been trying to compose other ways of forging talismans that could heal my wounds when I cast Miracles, but most of what you see is just basic. By the Depths, a scholar from Vinheim would laugh me out of this room from sheer embarrassment. Most of my experiments so far have blown up in my face, some quite literally. Now where is that—Aha! Found you!—
—He pulls out a small wrapped paper with something inside—
@Eurybe: Unless I'm mistaken (which is not unlikely), this should fix your spear up right as rain. Just sprinkle a little over the blade and the resin should do the rest.

Valerie: Okay. So you're an alien, then.
"Seven is here too, dressed like the concept of choosing clothes that look nice together was an arcane secret far beyond their grasp."
