Valerie: I'm just gonna make a concentrated effort to not think about this place any harder than I have to.
-Meanwhile, at the penthouse-
-Six has begun looking over the grip of the energy sword that took his life-
"Seven is here too, dressed like the concept of choosing clothes that look nice together was an arcane secret far beyond their grasp."[Terminus Station]
(Somewhere on Terminus Station is a large robot with a visor
◊, with parts that look kind of like tires on him. Maybe a car door or two. Anyway, he seems to be setting up a sort of stand, although it seems to have only one thing; a large plow
◊ of some sort. Slightly rusted, cobwebbed, dented a little, and has some of the paint scratched. Looks fine otherwise, though.)
After greeting the two inside of the hospital, Mina bid the two farewell. She brought up the topic of the home the group of people mentioned before dispersing, and she managed to get its address.
And now she was walking along the road, looking at Yorktown station for the first time. Rings stretched beyond what her eyes can see, dipping below the horizon, all covered with buildings and greenery of all kinds. Vehicles whizzed by over her head and in the distance, their glittering shells like diamonds in the sky. And the people! Aliens of all kinds, not just humanoids, mingled with each other.
Isara evidently routed her through the marketplace.
"It's beautiful," she whispered.
"Indeed." For once the AI was also speechless.
"Too bad I don't have any money on me," Mina sighed. The war had been hard on the Asgardian people, after all.
And besides, why would you carry your wallet into battle anyway?
... No, let's not think of that, she thought to herself.
The shops were nice, full of colour and beauty. The people inside were clearly enjoying their time here, as were the rest of the people in this section of the station.
This is what I'm fighting for...
She shook her head. No, let's not think about that...
She passed by the rest of the buildings, then headed out to the residential district.
"There's even a forest in here?" Mina gasped.
"That... was something I did not expect when they said "Park" on the map."
Mina blinked. Then laughed.
"Mina?" the AI dropped all pretense of professionalism.
"A forest. A bloody forest in this place." She giggled. "What's next? A desert?"
Isara just sighed. If she was a person, she'd be smiling and rolling her eyes. Sometimes, her master needed to unwind.
—
They arrived at the address a good amount of time later. Exploring and simply enjoying the greenery was relaxing for Mina, even though she didn't stop pointing out the absurdity of it all.
"... I'm telling you Isara, the costs of building such a thing on the station, when there's already limited real-estate, would be absolutely mental," Mina said to her AI companion.
"Yes, but think of the benefits to the population," the AI countered. "The people would be able to relax and unwind, like you did, while such a thing would also be able to have useful utilities to the station at large. Oxygen generation and carbon sequestering, not to mention automatic water filtration."
"Yes, but—" she stopped as the last waypoint marker disappeared from her HUD. "Ah, we're here."
"Don't use this to get out of this debate, missy!" the AI barked. There was no heat behind those words, though, and Mina merely giggled at her companion's antics as she knocked the front door of the penthouse.
"We dream of better worlds, so that one day we may surpass them."Valerie: -to Quartz- Yeah, why?
-to Longram- It'd be appreciated, yeah.
-Six hears the knocking at the door-
-Curious, he heads over and opens it-

Valerie: Well... at least I don't need to worry about this for the next little while.
And my friends back home are good people who can hold their own. Not worried about them.
Early vacation, I guess.
