@Six Albert: " 'Tactic error', you say? That's just called 'Well, I'm out of ammo, time to kill you slowly' or 'Guns are expensive, but check out this thing' tactics back home."
@Einar Albert: "Does it act like a chainsaw without the bulkyness?"

Will make dad jokes for friends.Six: -to Suzu- It's important to know how to fight hand-to-hand or with a knife. But if you're facing a literally entrenched enemy, that's when you break out smoke grenades, armored vehicles, air support, and close-quarters firearms.
Shotgun beats sword.

"Seven is here too, dressed like the concept of choosing clothes that look nice together was an arcane secret far beyond their grasp."Einar: (@Quartz) no, but it's not picky when it comes to fuel and even the tiniest drops can allow it to operate for days. This is why I've been buying some much space wolf ale lately.
(@Six) perhaps, fate moves in mysterious ways. The sector we reside in holds many secrets from what I've seen. Also shotgun does not beat sword when you're fighting a daemon who can only be banished with blunt force and flame.
(@Asagi) Yes, most marine weapons have a backstory. Rarely is something 'just' a weapon, but regardless eventually when I die, this eviscerator will be passed on to a new Kerberos Astartes who will use it to add more stories to its history.

Six: -to Asagi- ...Hm. Fair point.
I'm just working with my reference point of tactics and equipment. I mean, if swords are what's in vogue and firearms are clunky old matchlocks, well...
-to Suzu- You can dismiss any firearm with "it runs out of ammo". Of course it will, ammunition is a basic requirement of ranged weapons. Doesn't stop me from moking out a swordsman 300 metres before he can do anything but think angry thoughts.
Friendly fire is a valid concern, though. But like I said - if you're attacking a trench you want to be charging across no man's land in a tank. Or attacking from the air.

Well, from your reference point, yeah. But from mine, well, Acheron Security's got a few factories scattered about dedicated to producing Scorpions.

Einar: (@Albert) Eviscerator.
(@Six) chain weapons are most effective in an astartes's hands. There are powered weapons but I find them finnicky.
(@Quartz) that is fair.
-there are a shit ton of names carved into this thing-
