"Yep—Though, all things considered...", Osvald motioned to the jeep, Liman, and the guns and crate strewn about. "Can be better. I'm sure you heard our de-briefing just now.", he continued while lifting up a small crate and a toolbox on it. "We 're just short on just about everything."
"Yeah...", the private trailed off, idly adjusting the nozzle on the welder. "The—captain said we are on our own too, so..."

"Are you all still fine operating on your own? We're trying to figure out what we're doing as well, perhaps mutual assistance would be beneficial." She said to Liman.
[forum cryptid: it/it's]Liman paused for a moment, looking up and craning her neck a little to look at the taller woman as she stopped and looked at Osvald. With a nod, the sergeant gave the go ahead.
"It is...a tempting proposition, ma'am.", she started. "We—certainly wouldn't mind. Given that we are here for the duration, it would certainly be beneficial.", she said again, adjusting an errant bolt. "I-I would love to, of course. The doctor didn't mind when I overheard the captain asking her, and sergeant here...", she looked back at Osvald. "I wouldn't mind.", he said without looking back at the two as he loads another crate.
"So there you have it. Still—that decision ultimately lies with the captain, ma'am. I—can make suggestions, as do everyone under him. But...", as she paused again. "...the decision is still with him. Ma'am.", she finished.

"Pleasure to meet you formally. Looks like we'll be working together for the time being."
"Well, if it's up to your superiors, I suppose that's the best answer we'll get for the moment." Eires replied to Liman. "Don't worry, I won't push the matter if I'm just going to be an irritance."
[forum cryptid: it/it's]Liman quickly raised both hands, and shook her head rapidly. "No-non-n-nononono—not at all!", she hurriedly replied. "You aren't an irritance at all, not at all ma'am! N-Not at all!"
"If...If anything—I'm sure he will at least consider the proposition, ma'am.", she said despondently. "I'm...sure."

"Oh, you 're not intruding at all, ma'am.", the sergeant answered back as a crate slid into the back compartment. "We 're mostly doing well, and our reception by the other members of this ship has actually been—friendly, actually." He turned around to go lift another crate with the help of Kakadu the wonder robot dog. "We didn't expect that."
"Not to mention...", Liman trailed off as a hammer strike straightened the barrel of a large gun. "Everyone actually went to us and talked about various things.", she smiled underneath the mask. "Its a nice change to have."
