-It takes a bit of work to fit yourself into the pod, Monomi, but you manage it as it closes down-
-The viewscreen proceeds to display a birds-eye view of the air battle raging on, while the actual instruments in the cockpit display the same options everyone else got
-
-Meanwhile, Quartz manages to launch a Meteor just as the enemy fighter closes in... and fires its own missile-
-You get the distinct feeling there might be a way to avoid getting hit by the incoming rocket-
"Seven is here too, dressed like the concept of choosing clothes that look nice together was an arcane secret far beyond their grasp."Monomi: Why do I feel so disoriented? Hmm...
Monomi: (ponders this, before selecting, Light, and Fighter)
The Crystal Caverns A bird's gotta sing.-Quartz, there is not quite an option for getting the turrets to shoot down the missile. There is a FLARE button, and you do it it-
-The Medved disgorges a wide array of glowing countermeasures, and just in time, the missile being fired at it curves away into the distance. By the time it realizes it's been had, it runs out of fuel; you can see it start its turn, and then explode in the distance-
-This is more than can be said for the attacker, which gets beaned with the Meteor, right in the cockpit, and detonates mid-air-
-Meanwhile, in the interest of brevity, Monomi gets to see an image of her chosen fighter
◊ along with some fun facts about it-
- schwalbe - light fighter - Incredibly maneuverable, with high speed on top of that, the Schwalbe is the ultimate dogfighter, capable of flying circles around anything else in the sky! Just be careful - one wrong hit and you're done!
- gun - vulkan - Standard 20mm autocannon. Only effective at very close range, but quite capable of tearing unsuspecting aeros apart if aimed properly.
- micro - micromissile - Short-range homing missile, fired two at a time. The standard air-to-air weapon of most aeroforces, this missile is nothing special, but it gets the job done. Can lock all targets.
- air-to-air - diamondback - Short-range infrared missile. The Diamondback's infrared radar can only achieve a lock if you are behind the target; but if you do, you're almost guaranteed a hit - it's fast and nimble! Can only lock air targets.
- air-to-ground - dirk - Unguided rocket. One Dirk alone doesn't deal that much damage, so it's recommended to launch them in volume for maximum damage! These are also fast enough to be used as anti-air weapons, if you're crafty.
-There is an option to CONFIRM your choice, or to DENY it and select another fighter you fancy more-
Oliver: -to Monomi- [We're all on a team, shoot the yellow fighters!]

"Seven is here too, dressed like the concept of choosing clothes that look nice together was an arcane secret far beyond their grasp."-*While peeps are doing the flying VR game, Lulu's playing at a different game. Specifically Pac-Man. She glimpses at the pods.*
Lulu: "Huuuh...that looks cool-"
"Ohcrap!"
-*Focuses back to her game, trying not to bump into Clyde.*
-*Meanwhile, Roy's enters shooting range, fancy gun case on hand.*

Monomi: [I've got you.] (Confirms her choice and takes to the game, playing very well for someone who just got an explanation for how the game works. She manages to swoop into range and shoots at Quartz)
Hopefully he's on the yellow team. Will retcon if wrong.
The Crystal Caverns A bird's gotta sing.VR Game
-Monomi is indeed able to launch, and immediately seeks out and opens fire on Quartz-
-...with a Dirk, because neither of the Schwalbe's missiles will lock onto a friendly-
-Fortunately for Quartz, friendly fire is disabled in this session, so the rocket just explodes against his bomber without causing much harm-
AWACS: Wendigo 4, watch your fire! You've got more than enough actual enemies out there to shoot at!
-And fortunately for Monomi, it does look like another enemy Schwalbe is near her if she wants to get her murder on-
-Meanwhile, Asagi, your Aurora is doing perfectly fine. The Circus is nearly reloaded, so you'll definitely have it back in time for the next wave of incoming fighters. They'll probably be bigger. And nastier. That's the rule with these things, isn't it?-
-You can also pick out everyone else's status in a part of your HUD, and it looks like everyone's doing fairly well. No damage yet!-
-Your radar is showing that, besides the one fighter near Monomi, the AI buddies have done some good work mopping up while you've been flying-
