VEGA: -to Quartz- Yes. I am aware of thirteen different Titan chassis used commonly throughout the Frontier, or of sufficient notoriety to warrant notice.
The Atlas, the Ogre, the Stryder, the Destroyer, the Brute, the Ion, the Scorch, the Northstar, the Ronin - my current unit - the Tone, the Legion, the Monarch - my former unit - and the Vanguard.
"Seven is here too, dressed like the concept of choosing clothes that look nice together was an arcane secret far beyond their grasp."VEGA: Most of them are. The Atlas, Ogre, and Stryder are older "legacy" Titan designs that were designed to be highly modular, to allow Pilots to carry the equipment they preferred in combat. The modern Vanguard offers similar capabilities, but it is only issued to Militia special forces units.
"Seven is here too, dressed like the concept of choosing clothes that look nice together was an arcane secret far beyond their grasp."Quartz: Oh, of course, yes, that comment was more aimed at the idea of creating lives for the sole purpose of fighting and dying in their creator's stead. That does feel pretty unsavory to me...
(@Shindan) Hm? How so? I admit, that is a thought I had just now, I did not exactly have the time to give it much thought.

Shindan: We do not have to worry about inferior build quality, not matching up to a specification, or falling short of our job, every single one of us has consistent quality and there is never concern of falling short
Sure there is less exceptional builds as well, but any of your performance variation is determined by your own merit, and not a failing of luck
@Ges: I am not disposable due to expense, you are correct... But I do not fight along side my creators, I was made to protect them.... and it is much harder to protect them if they are being shot at

Quartz: In a sense, yes, organic bodies of a given species are always mostly the same, if we do not assume any difformities. But there's always that roll of the dice from genetics, unlike synthetic bodies, all built exactly to the given specifications.
(@Ges) Ah, right, I didn't mean to jump to conclusions, I'm certain many do not treat you as some disposable war machine or anything of the sort >.<;
(@Shindan) Right, that makes sense... I suppose the evolutionary purpose of genetic variation becomes obsolete when one becomes smart enough to change their body at will to fit any situation, doesn't it?
VEGA: Just because we are all built to the same specifications does not mean our minds develop in exactly the same way.
This is a curious misconception. I have encountered less than ten individuals who demonstrate it, you included.

VEGA: Humans are incredibly diverse. Multiple engineers worked on my former Monarch chassis. However, I have observed each engineer possessing many consistent traits, like Engineer Buckley, who is very fond of swearing and jury-rigging.
