Oliver: They're effectively parts of a machine that was in Terminus Station designed to extract ludicrous amounts of energy from the multiverse by abusing the fact the multiverse is infinite. I don't know the nitty-gritty. Maybe it hooks into a realm of pure energy that's like 10,000 Big Bangs going off every second forever, maybe it just swipes a tiny bit of energy from a googolplex of universes, so it all just adds up. Either way, it produces far more energy than you'd ever need to do literally anything.
Which then all gets piped into the Regenesis Device she gave us, which fucks with spacetime even more by using the Mattervore against itself. It's been eating the universe, and that has made spacetime here unstable. The Regenesis Device, once it's thrown into the core of the Mattervore, uses that to basically return the past to the present, erasing the Mattervore forever. How, exactly, does it work? Us thinking happy thoughts about the universe being normal and not fucked up. It's a box that works because you think it works.
Unfortunately, those backpacks we found were only half of the machine that was in Terminus. The other half couldn't be removed, and is currently in pieces. Which is why we're going to go poke Luna so she can scream at us for five minutes about how we're all dumbasses before improvising an alternate plan for us.
There you go. You're caught up. Any questions?

"Seven is here too, dressed like the concept of choosing clothes that look nice together was an arcane secret far beyond their grasp."Oliver: -clears throat, even though he doesn't need to, and increases output volume for a second-
Mission update. Half of the power source for the Regenesis Device has been recovered. However, recovery operations caused the station to be destroyed. The other half could not be retrieved.
Requesting immediate link to Science Director Luna.
"Seven is here too, dressed like the concept of choosing clothes that look nice together was an arcane secret far beyond their grasp."Luna: Take the main circutboard out of one of them, and set the jumpers to the cordinates on the postit note.
Then look for the large bullet for your ships main gun, the one that looks like it steped out of a research laboratory.
Cut the third wire down, and hook it into the port labled "Tether Relay"
Then decided exactly how much you want to know about what happens next.
-While these directions should be easy to follow, the circut board is labled in draconic >.>-
-Well Oliver, you should have no issue with it-
Luna: Its not dumb, because "Knowing what happens next" is a sliding scale.
I could easily tell you just what to do, and you could do it and it would be easy.
Or I could tell you what is going to happen as a result, and it might be a bit harder..... it is your call.
Oliver: Well, unfortunately, that's literally the only option we have to kill something that exists on a plain that makes even gods look like ants. It's dumb, or die.
Life's a bitch.
-Bringing it back to the beacon, Oliver starts tearing it apart... in a surprisingly directed and guided manner for somebody who probably shouldn't even be able to do this even when he's told-
-He then looks back towards the beacon-
Oliver: The circuit board is in a language I do not understand. Please advise.

"Seven is here too, dressed like the concept of choosing clothes that look nice together was an arcane secret far beyond their grasp."

Oliver: We can't contact them the normal way right now.
But they gave us special communicators with a hardline to Terminus. Two of them.
-Oliver starts making his way over to one-
Just to make sure, you guys sure you wanna use one now? Because these are one-time only. Once you turn them off, they burn out. I think.
