-The Titan's optical arrays swivel over to her-
???: The individual in front of me is my Pilot. I have read the encoded hashes on his equipment, and they match what exists in my database.
Oliver: I'm... I'm a Pilot?
Oh god, did I die?
???: Yes. I am sorry, Jackson. I could not protect you. I am happy to see the Simulacrum transference procedure has taken, however. Records indicate that it did not, and you were declared dead.

"Seven is here too, dressed like the concept of choosing clothes that look nice together was an arcane secret far beyond their grasp."Oliver: -to Bruce- Uh... apparently, in my past life, somehow I ended up managing to rate Pilot. Somehow.
VEGA: You do not remember...
-The Titan goes silent for a moment, before its optics focus on Bruce-
VEGA: Pilot Jackson does not remember anything about me. How long has he been operating like this?
"Seven is here too, dressed like the concept of choosing clothes that look nice together was an arcane secret far beyond their grasp."VEGA: This is extremely concerning.
Pilot Jackson, you are unaware of your service?
Oliver: I've been finding these flash drives that are catching me up. I know that I basically let my hospital shipmates die because I was a coward, and that got me assigned as a penal Rifleman, and I turned out to be very good at killing things until one day I had a nervous breakdown and had to go to therapy after I'd killed enough IMC to get reinstated. That's the sum total of it.
-VEGA is silent, as he meditates on this-
"Seven is here too, dressed like the concept of choosing clothes that look nice together was an arcane secret far beyond their grasp."VEGA: Pilot Jackson's last recorded operation was the evacuation of Celerium. During this operation, he refused multiple orders to retreat onboard evacuation dropships, to ensure that fellow Militiamen with civilians were able to make it to safety. He only made an attempt to retreat when the situation became completely untenable.
Unfortunately, an IMC sniper had a bead on his evacuation vehicle, and he was struck in the chest by a 14.5x114mm armor penetrator. This did not kill him, but it mortally wounded him. Medical supplies onboard the shuttle and the orbiting MCS Tai Lastimosa were unsuccessful in stabilizing his condition, so Q-compatible quantum transference gear was rigged up to transfer Pilot Jackson's consciousness into a machine body to allow him continued existence as a Simulacrum.
Unfortunately, however, the only technicians that could be raised given his rapidly deteriorating condition were inexperienced. Pilot Jackson's brain ceased functioning on the operating table before the procedure could be finished. No activity was detected from the Simulacrum chassis he was transferred into, so he was assumed dead, and buried in space with full military honors.
I believe the operation was partially successful. However, the expiry of Pilot Jackson's brain meant that sections of his long-term memory did not successfully make the transfer into his new body. When he woke up, he did not remember his military service.
